Tried using GoodRX to get antibiotics for a UTI. Doctor agreed I needed antibiotics and gave me instructions to take them 2x a day for 5 days. I checked the script she wrote and it was only for 6 pills. I messaged back to tell her it was the wrong number of pills and got no response, naturally. They already had my money. Also, they will only send the prescription to a few pharmacies which is a huge hassle if you rely on public transit like I do. Now I have to go all the way across the city to pickup the incorrect number of antibiotic pills.
Update: I got a dismissive response from GoodRx saying that the directions say "3 days". Incorrect. And my infection did not clear up after 3 days of treatment. So now I'm out money, a trip to the pharmacy, and still have an infection. Thanks for nothing, GoodRx!
I am self pay and so good rx helps me locate pharmacies with the lowest price for my meds. Misty from good rx helped me with an issue that I was having a certain prescription med. She solved my problem with courtesy and great customer service and was attentive to all my needs. She worked with me keeping in touch with me while working on my issue and kept me informed through out the process. She even had my prescription transferred from one pharmacy to another along my daily traveled route to save me money. In my opinion Misty is an asset to your organization and represents good rx exceptionally. Thanks good rx.
I have used good rx with success but recently you had a price listed at kroger pharmacy and they would not honor your price. I traveled 45 minutes one way to get that price and was turned down. That was a costly disappointment
Hi Mark! We are so sorry to hear about the issue you've experienced. We've sent you a private message to investigate further.
Excellent! I am so happy I found goodrx. I don't have insurance & now I save a lot of money every month for the same prescriptions I've been paying big bucks for. One of the few REAL discount drug sites. Thank you GoodRX!
I don't understand why other people put a comment here and said that its a scam. Today, June 14,2017, I used there discount. At first i'm scared to use it, coz i don't know if it works. I need to buy a cream that cost me $698 coz i don't have an insurance and because i used good rx, i only paid $50! OMG! Thank you so much GOOD RX.
I've had many canine prescriptions filled at Walmart in Renton, WA. Now all of a sudden they refused to fill it and honor the Good RX coupon. Can they do that? It was for 5ml Prednisolone Acetate. Good RX has saved me hundreds of dollars for my animals especially. I am a breeder/exhibitor and have more than one animal. So grateful to have my Good RX card!
I was able to use this at my local Walmart in Sulphur, LA. My BP meds were going to be over $130 without insurance and its not something I can just stop taking with CHF, but I only wound up paying $26 and change after taxes.
They already knew about GoodRx so there was no fight to use them. I think the trick is to be prepared to call the number on the coupon. There are two. One if you're a customer and another if you're a pharmacist.
I think if the pharmacy doesn't accept the coupon, its not the fault of GoodRx, but the pharmacist instead.
The only thing I'll say is that sometimes the GoodRx prices are not as good as using insurance, or much cheaper without insurance, but again that fault lies with the drug company gouging people because they can and they are desperate for meds that can save their lives.
Overall, super happy and will def use again. Thank you.
Hello Crystal! Thank you so much for providing us with your feedback, we are so happy that we could help you save on your medications! If you have any questions in the future, feel free to give us call at 888-799-2553.
My prescription was originally $250 with no insurance, then my insurance kicked in and it wasn't covered for some bizarre loop hole reason. I saw a Good RX commercial and decided to check it out. My life saving medication was only $55.
All I can say is thank you to the genius who figured this out and please keep up the good work to help the broken health care system in the US. Mahalo!
GoodRx.com has saved my patients hundreds of dollars and has saved our practice frustration and phone calls. It is easy to use and provides a much needed service for patients who either have no drug coverage or who cannot get their insurance company to authorize payment for expensive medications. All the major pharmacies participate and on many medications the savings are substantial. I have had patients actually call back in tears thanking me for pointing them to this site.
I've read some of the negative reviews on this site. Let me say I've been using GoodRx.com for personal use as well as recommending it to our patients and have had overall very good results. Not every drug made will have a substantial discount, but many do and many of those that do are ones that are quite commonly used. Also, it is important to know that this discount acts in lieu of insurance, not along side it. If you already have a low copay with your insurance this will not help.
I want to thank Good RX, just found out that I don't have any insurance and I'm a diabetic and needed my medicine and without Good RX my medicine would have been over $175 but I only paid $70. What a great help for us lower middle class. You guys are awesome. I will let everyone know how you help me and can help other people like me.
Congratulations on those savings Yvette! We are so happy we are able to help you save on your medication.
I used to use GoodRX to get meds for my dogs. 240 Phenobarbital 64.8mg is very expensive. The pharmacies have stopped taking GoodRX for two reasons: first, they state that they are not getting reimbursed by GoodRx; second, they now state that they won't take it for a drug that requires a triplicate. I try calling all listed pharmacies and they won't honor what is listed on the GoodRX website. $100+ each prescription hurts the pocketbook but you do what you have to if your pet can't live without. Anyone have any other suggestions, please let me know. Meds are still more expensive at the vet's office.
Hi Eileen - Sadly, the pharmacist isn't accurate. Everything you were told is simply inaccurate - we don't pay pharmacies anything and pharmacies can take prescriptions for controlled substances. Please email us at help@goodrx.com so we can make it right.
For more than a year Good Rx worked great on my sleep disorder medications which happens to be a Class I I. Then two months ago the price jumped from $43.00 per month to $86.00 and this time CVS is charging $250.00. When I contacted Good Rx they sent me an email to switch to Walgreens. Walgreens has a policy of not honoring discount cards for schedule II. Good Rx is taking the position that it's up to the discretion of the pharmacist. Three different pharmacist at 3 different stores have told me that they would be in violation of the company policy to honor Good Rx coupons for scheduled meds. The problem is in shopping around $250.00 a month is the going price. I don't understand why CVS would suddenly have such a jump. Good Rx says that they are unable to help and keep referring back to Walgreens for $86.00 which I would gladly pay if what Good Rx was actually correct which they are not. I can't say that they have been helpful in resolving the issue.
Hi - as we state on GoodRx, scheduled prescriptions are always accepted at the discretion of the pharmacist. We find that 99% of the time they ARE accepted, and we are sometimes blamed when the pharmacist doesn't want to fill for other reasons. Apologies for the difficulty - if you'd like to continue the conversation, please email help@goodrx.com.
Without GoodRX, I would be paying $330-$400+ a month for prescription for my German Shepherd. With GoodRX, I currently pay under $90. Previously, it was $130. Still way less compared to regular cost, which I payed before knowing about GoodRX. Thank you GoodRx for helping me take care of my beloved dog who protects me!
Those are amazing savings Rachel! Thank you for letting us provide you with assistance and savings for you and your pup. We hope both of you are doing well!
Walmart is listed on the good rx site. Went there they said no. Called the good rx. # and was informed that eventhough they partner with Walmart that can choose to accept it or not. Gee thanks I think maybe they didn't want to honor it because the script was actually for a canine but a human med obviously. Whatever not gonna embarrass myself with this crap again
Hi there - sounds like the pharmacist was not aware how to process GoodRx; we can help with this. Please email help@goodrx.com? We'll make this right.
Goodrx used it for first time very good saved me lots of money. Went to cvs at first I had another discount card they told me with card would cost 72.00. Went on Goodrx online found it online at walmart for 23.50 printed card. Got it fill at walmart no problem. Walmart was the cheapest. Cvs want 58.00. Check it out good deal. Thank you Greg
I don't know how I stumbled upon Good RX but am so glad that I did. I have had no issues. I have told many friends and family members to download the app. Not sure why some prescriptions are so much cheaper using Good Rx but it is worth it. The app is so easy to use even for "seniors" like me!
I went to Publix on 1/17/20 with the GoodRx app. My prescription on the app came up $39.81. Publix said it keep coming up $54.97. The cashier rang it up several times (so she said). I ended up paying the $54.97. For some reason I decided to call today, 1/20/20. The rep indicated it shows $29.95. She called Publix and called me back indicating they are accepting the $29.95 and will call me with a refund. She did explained that it was at their discretion. Either way, I'm happy!
Hello! We apologize for the trouble, and are happy that we were able to get everything sorted out for you!
I have a card and have tried three times to compare it with my drug coverage (which usually pays no more than 40% of the cost of my prescriptions). Every time I compared GoodRX price with my insurance plan, the GoodRX prescription cost more - not a lot more, but more. I'll continue to try, but I'm not optimistic. It will probably end up to be useful only when I have a prescription where my insurance doesn't cover the drug. We'll see.
Hello. While GoodRx can sometimes beat insurance prices, that won't always be the case - not sure why that merits a 1-star review, but whatever.
I checked a few of my prescriptions on Good Rx and was ready to run all over town (and even out of town) for their deals until I did some checking on my own. First, I typed in "aspirin." Good Rx told me that Walgreen has the cheapest price at right around $250.00!
Next, I checked with my pharmacy. One of my medications (which IS unreasonably expensive for a generic) is $266.00. Good Rx says my pharmacy sells it for $460.00.
Maybe you can get some good deals. I don't know. But, especially if you take long-term medications like I do, I suggest you investigate before you go to the trouble of having prescriptions transferred between pharmacies each month.
Another thing to check is whether your employer has its own discount agreement with a certain pharmacy. If they do, that's usually the best price you can get.
Please email help@goodrx.com for assistance. If you've had a bad experience, we'd like to make it right.
I came to say thank you! I've only been using goodrx since the first of the year when my insurance went down hill. My med that i can't get refills on and can only fill once a month is over $300 for 9 pills! But with goodrx and the helpful pharmacist at meijer i only pay $17! I found out tonight i get a discount with my insurance i can get the pills for $147... WOOHOO. Why the negative reviews? What are you really losing to check out goodrx? You could not use it and pay more or get lucky and get an exceptional deal!
Thanks again Goodrx! Even if it goes up to$50 a month I'll still be saving money!
Answer: Yes we do. Just present coupon to save. Have a nice day
Answer: If you have any questions, we're here to help - please email help@goodrx.com and we'll get back quickly. Pharmacists have the discretion to honor or refuse controlled substance coupons, but most of them (like 99%) will take them, which is why we list them (and indicate that they may not be accepted). Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Terry! You will need to present the coupon to the pharmacist, usually before, they fill a prescription. If you doctor's office is willing to do so for you then it may be okay, but we would suggest you present a new coupon each time you fill or refill. Sometimes our prices fluctuate and checking the coupons may get you a deeper discount. If you, or your doctor, presented a coupon and the pharmacist, for whatever reason, says the coupon cannot be used please give us a call at 1-888-799-2553, our Advocacy Team would love to assist you! Our hours are Monday-Sunday, between the hours of 8AM and 7PM CT.
Answer: Hi there - can we help you? Head to our help section for information on how we do business.
Answer: It takes very little time. Immediately after sign up you'll receive the information you need to purchase at our discounted rates.
Answer: Hi Shirley! We list coupons for Phentermine here: https://www.goodrx.com/phentermine Please be sure to update the script details and zip code to see prices for your area.
Answer: Please give our GoodRx support team a call at 888-799-2553, so they can contact the pharmacy regarding the price discrepancy, Steve. They're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: GoodRx can be used in place of Medicaid as long as the two aren't combined. Please give us a call at 888-799-2553, so we can contact the pharmacy on your behalf. We're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: Great question, Don! Since GoodRx compares prices at different pharmacies, there are sometimes lower prices with a GoodRx coupon. If you have a GoodRx Gold account, you are still able to use a GoodRx coupon if you find that it offers a better price for your prescription at a pharmacy in your area.
Answer: Hello there Anita, we're sorry for your frustrating experience at Walgreens. Please give us a call so we may investigate this and reach out to the pharmacy on your behalf. We can be reached at 888-799-2553, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 7pm CT.
