85 minutes on the phone for updating PHP. I do not recommend GoDaddy to anyone. Their Webhosting is archaic.

Slow.

The amount of time to fix small billing issues will keep me from ever coming back.
I would avoid Go Daddy.

I've been a Godaddy customer for over a decade. Recently, the company has been changing fast and adopting certain predatory behaviors. On November the 4th, 2019, I received a notice that my domain expired on October the 31st because of an "invalid or expired credit card". That was a surprise since all my other domains were being auto-renewed regularly. Also, I received no notice about any attempt to charge said invalid payment method. I checked my account and indeed, the Capital One card that was subject to leak by the company and exposed me to fraud and theft was there. However, there were three other payment methods (debit and credit cards), all valid. There is a reason a customer provides several payment methods when the company allows (and encourages) this: when something happens to one, the company charges the next. That's not what Godaddy did: they cancelled my domain but they offered to retrieve it from the "parked nameservers" for a $80 fee. In my understanding, this is extorsion. Apparently, they agree with me (that this is an illegal practice) since I called them the following day, I was very clear that they would be reported in case they refused to fix the situation and indeed they fixed it immediately. On November 10,2019, again I received an email from Godaddy about an expired product due to "invalid or expired payment method". Now they have no reason to claim that since I deleted all the other cards, leaving only my one very valid debit card on file. This is another attempt from Godaddy to inflict small damages, with small irregularities that their customer service agents are completely unsuccessful in fixing. The last one dropped the line (accidentally?) and the next one came asking for the same information. Keeping me all that time online creates a debt from Godaddy to me. I will bill them for that because there are too many red flags that this was a malicious action. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Let Godaddy choose which it is: if they pay, showing willingness to meet their damaged customers half-way, then they look good. Otherwise, they strengthen my hypothesis.

Wish I could give 1/2 a star (but only for my own stupidity and perseverance).

I have just spent 7 hours on a chat with 6 different people from GoDaddy (the last few were Ravi, Vallakati & Prabhjot) and NOTHING has been resolved. I tied calling GoDaddy but after 30 minutes my phone got disconnected and their call back feature has been disabled.

I chose GoDaddy originally for their exemplary service.
Their staff were always amazing, helpful and informative.
NOW I give them a ZERO STAR RATING

I paid for email back up for my business which died during the later 1/2 of 2021. Now I need to cancel email as I cannot afford it, so want to back up a copy of all my emails. BUT the emails in their server (4.65 GB of storage showing) only exports as 0.079 GB! No, it is not zipped or squished. It includes only my inbox and my folders BUT NOTHING IN ANY OF THE FOLDERS!

THEY tell me it is my issue and suggested to go find help from someone else. Lovely, friendly, non-local, almost bot-like customer service! They did tell me they were a "live human" and did apologize for the inconvenience! SERIOUSLY?

I love that it was so easy and it's done. I never thought I could do a website myself... Which I couldn't, but thanks to GoDaddy I can.

If you are a small business, do NOT sign up with GoDaddy. They used to have great customer service YEARS ago but some "clever" executive(s) decided to cut costs and obviously cut customer support in the process. Consistent 60+ min. Wait times for small business owners? See screenshots provided in this review for validation... Will that help your business? It not only wastes your VALUABLE time or takes time away from family/friends - and your business - it also takes the wind out of your sails. Business owners/salespeople don't need this. Business partners are supposed to help you GROW your business, not take your money and then negatively impact your business. Don't do it! You've been warned. See posts on GoDaddy's Facebook page (throughout the page in comment sections, too). I did include an image to prove that I have service with GoDaddy - but not for long. Migrating away from them due to horrible customer service and issues with their MS Office365, including Email and OneDrive (file storage/on-line file access/shared drive product). Apparently, GoDaddy for Office 365 is a "light" version of Office 365, with less features and functionality, and they keep changing up their menus most likely because of complaints that the menus are not user-friendly or intuitive. I've experienced that for years. And it's more complex to use. Check out these links for articles on these issues.

https://www.mrsharepoint.guru/ms-office-365-vs-godaddy/

I've been experiencing these issues for YEARS and I am DONE. Trying GoogleWorkspace now. Heard LOTS of good things about the platform from IT specialists and other small business owners.

I'm a GoDaddy customer since 2011, both for me and my clients. I never had experienced a worst customer service. Unhelpful and ineffective.
These guys based in India cannot provide solutions, don't even know what are the problems (either in chat or by phone they wait minutes before replying, with standard replies, showing that they are not expert at all in the field).
GoDaddy run a massive scam when upgrading their hosting to cPanel. All their customers on "old" hosting plans where forced to move to the new cPanel otherwise many applications including the very popular Wordpress wouldn't work anymore, because their hosting plan couldn't support newer PHP versions. Obviously this is just an excuse to force users buy a new service, even after subscribing for an entire year or more to the old. They don't refund and not even give a discount for the new. That's a bad trick, they should have informed before asking me to renew the old plan and facilitate migration. They don't care of their customers, they just want money.
The customer service blamed their own engineers for not being able to do this simple upgrade needed to the old plans, and told that they are not authorised to do any migration, which is a service that has to be done by the customer. A support can be asked but has a cost (not defined).
So I bought the new plan but after migrating all the websites, they don't work properly. The support keeps on saying just apologies but no concrete help.
They caused me a huge damage in terms of SEO as the websites are now all offline!
Please, please quit GoDaddy as soon as you can, it's the worst service you can ever have. Slow, poor and expensive. They try just to upsell but they don't care at all of their customers, they care only of their numbers.
I'm not surprised to find out that there are thousands of angry GoDaddy customers worldwide. There are other providers that are amazing in terms of customer service, with their people always super helpful, fast, kind. And they are even cheaper. GoDaddy sucks, it's the worst ever!

I have had godaddy domain for 7 years, I got a email about a new service they have called godaddy payments. I thought i would try it out, so i signed up was approved right away. I moved my website to godaddy so I could offer these new payment method to my customers. I could not get the new payment to connect and work. So i contacted customer support on chat. The told me i had to upgrade to the most expensive package they had for the payments to work, so i did that. It did not work, so chat told me to wait 24 hours and it would connect all by itself. That did not happen, so now i am on chat again, and am told that there was a coding problem and it would be fixed in a few hours. So the next day its still not fixed, so back to customer support on chat, rhey told me I had to reapply all over again for godaddy payments and it would take another 24 hours. Well after 24 hours it still did not work, so again on chat, i was told it would be 48 hours not 24. So, now its day 4, and it still does not workl So I asked for a refund for a ecommerce site that I could not take payments. I was told it would be fixed right away, and finally was. I added some items to the new store, and had one sale. Within 10 minutes they sent me a email and shut down the payments, when i asked why, i got no answer, i was told they did not know why. So again i asked for a refund, and was told no refund because it had been more than 48 hours since i upgraded. Customer service strung me along until they did not have to refund, each day they lied over and over. This is the worst customer service i have ever seen If i could leave 0 stars I would. I would advise anyone to run as fast as you can away from this company

I canceled my Outlook email account hosted by GoDaddy months ago to move to a Google-based domain specific email. Then I realized they had auto-renewed my "plan" with Microsoft 365 (including all their extra security "add-ons" for the non-existent email) as of 8/8/23. I didn't see that auto-renewal immediately and when I did finally see it, I contacted them about a refund for the "security add-ons" for the non-existent emails. That was the point at which they advised me FOR THE FIRST TIME that I couldn't keep my Microsoft 365 account without an email hosted by GoDaddy, so I had to scramble to set up an alternate Microsoft 365 account. When that was set up, I contacted them for a full refund for both the Microsoft 365 account and the extra bells and whistles for the non-existent account, and they refused a refund because I didn't request the refund within 30 days of the auto-renewal that was THEIR FAULT. So I am out over $300 for accounts that they renewed without my permission and that I can't use!

I bought a domain name back in 2014 only to get extremely frustrated when every time I tried to login it never recognized my login details. I tried calling customer service but they refused to help as apparently they didn't have my details on file.

I ended up having to walk away from this site and try and find another one.

We are not in 2016 and I get a message from PayPal that Go Daddy is going to debut $50.48 out of my account. I never received an email or letter to day anything about this.
Once again, I tried to call and they refused to help because I didn't have a 4 digit pin. And I was not able to log in.
The funds can put, i sent an email requesting that they be refunded and I put a transaction disputed through PayPal.

It turns out that they are no longer accepting emails and they refused to help me over the phone.

MY ONLY ADVICE TO EVETYONE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM GODADDY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHLUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE OR AUTORIZATION ANS YOU WILL NECER SEE IT AGAIN AS ALL YOU WILL GET IS A BRICK WALL.
