This website is a-ok. UIt is very good, I have so far had no issues with them, and to top it all off, they offer things at a discount and make it cheaper to buy a domain. So I say, BUY BUY BUY a domain at this website. You will not regret it.

As a customer of Go Daddy for over 11 years, I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. Over 1 year ago, a representative talked me into changing my web store to a Word Press website that would be designed by GoDaddy. I fell for the bait and false promises. They never completed the website, I had to learn how to develop a Word Press website on my own and then call them to launch it. Every time I call in for help, I need to explain myself to at least 3 different people, stay on hold for hours (every time I call)...hope and pray I can actually understand the representative that answers my call and then never have my actual problem fixed. Since launching my website one year ago, my sales have plummeted. I went from having 1-2 sales per day to have 10 sales in one year! They continue to avoid my phone calls. All they want to do is open a ticket...that they are suppose to have fixed in 24-48 hours...only in my case it takes 6 weeks every time. I am so frustrated that I am seriously considering legal council to try to obtain my lost sales and refund the cost of the website. Buyer beware, please do not fall for their sales team like I did. My web store worked perfectly fine...until they sold me on false promises. The amount of frustration Go Daddy has inflected on my life is crazy! Find a local reputable website developer in your area, one that will answer the phone and kindly help you Mon-Friday...please take my advise.

Dedicated Server forced to VPS
January 5, 2023

We signed up dedicated server at Godaddy.com. They sent a notification saying that they will migrate our server to the latest Gen 4 VPS. Problem is we paid for 3 years of dedicated server. And they decided to give us VPS. In addition, Doing the migration will affect our business as server will not be available for at least a week. They claim that they will not be responsible if anything fail to work after the migration. To avoid that, they want us to purchase a new plan.

Also, no prior intimation was provided. No calls, no mails. Just on the panel a generic message was displayed which does not even fully explain what is happening. They also mention in that in case of an automatic shift, the sites might stop working, which will lead to loss of business for us

Despite investing 1000's of dollars in their current dedicated server, they wanted us to invest more and purchase a parallel server and spend more on it. Even the price for the new server has been increased dramatically, forcing us to spend lot more.

Poor service
July 19, 2020

After 14 years with them, i've come to the conclusion some support people are just not competent. I prepaid to have my main domain moved to a stand alone to increase my sites speed and performance. Over a month passed and nothing, finally I guess they worked on it but did not do a very good job as some clients had to call and let me know I was down. Thousands of dollars and for what, who ever was finally working on my site was so unprofessional my site was not checked and stayed down until by accident my clients called letting me know. I'm in a good position on google and having my domain down really does damage, I also paid for SEO, now I'm thinking they will have to waste time and my money just to repair any damage done by my site being down. This is so incredibly poor service and support by this company, I'm considering looking for options, something i did not think I would have to do. I hate change and my philosophy has been if not broken don't touch it, but I feel after this and several previous issues maybe it's time to move on. I will certainly study and now I'm thinking all the folks i've referred over the years to godaddy i will have to let them know what happened.

Terrible customer service
March 8, 2024

Customer service is so terrible that I have been on hold for almost 2 hours and counting, just to get my credit card removed from their system. Per their website, I cannot remove it without speaking with someone. I think they are just hoping that I will get tired of waiting for their single cancellation employee to cycle through all the customers tired of their service.

I tried to do this through their 24/7 online chat and they said the wait was 89 minutes so I am just hoping someone will finally answer my call or in chat. It seems like I will likely be dead before they get to my request.

At the hold point of 1:51:56, I got a recording that stated that my estimated hold time is 2 minutes. We will see.

I cant review their other services but judging by their CS response time, I think its just not worth it.

I dont like giving bad reviews but this is just nuts. By the way, I still havent spoken with anyone and its now 2:12:31 and still holding.

UPDATE: After holding for just over 3 hours, GoDaddy's phone system DISCONNECTED after stating that they were sorry but they were unable to connect me to customer service. They are the WORST!

I use Go Daddy for my website domain and hosting and have for a few years now. The price of the domains (provided you are not trying to buy one from someone else) is reasonable and if you want a domain that isn't available, Go Daddy will often have good suggestions for a similar one. Hosting is also good, and the site typically runs fast and loads quickly. What I don't like about Go Daddy is calling for technical support. It feels like every call takes hours ( they don't always, but feels that way). When calling you are often transferred several times and even when you find someone who is helpful, there is almost always a pushy sales pitch. It seems every single time I call, someone is always trying to convince me I need this or that. Some of the items, yes, are things that I could benefit from but often times they are trying to get me to review domains or hosting for extensive lengths of time or add various things to my account. I feel bad when I tell them no and feel pressured throughout the call to purchase the items they are telling me I need because they rare good at convincing you that you really need these things. I have gotten much better at fixing things that go wrong with my website ( they are typically my fault anyway) and rarely call Go Daddy anymore. As a result, I am happier because I get a decent service without the pressure of buying something else. I would recommend Go Daddy as a good choice for people who can follow self help topics posted on Go Daddy's website, or someone comfortable with designing and maintaining their website with minimal assistance.

Intellectual property theft
September 26, 2023

I used to own a web hosting company named GTCONEX. At one point Godaddy copied my site along with all my wording and SEO and graphics and company name basically using my exact hymn page or template and pointed the copied page from my site at the Godaddy site and stole my search engine listings. I ended up closing my doors because of it as I no longer got customers during intènet boom. The company is scandalous and stole my whole business model and intellectual property.

I have been a Godaddy's customer for many years. I pay them for hosting, backups, and many more products. I host my clients' websites and emails with Godaddy.
A week ago I reached out to Goddady support to troubleshoot a webmail issue and while they fixed the issue they deleted my client's emails contacts by mistake. I called them back to report the contact issue, and since then they have not been able to recover the email contacts of my client. Godaddy's negligence has cost me to lose a client. Godaddy just said they can't recover the data they deleted. This is ridiculous, THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT A CLIENT BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY. GODADDY, I NEED THAT FIX WHAT YOU BROKE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

I signed up for a package deal one year of the domain and one month free of websites and marketing Plus for the US and they proceed to shut down my website and everything else even the email I paid extra for and stated that I had to buy the website building plan well their coaxing you in with bull$#*! and false advertisement making you think that what you're buying is going to work and then they turn around and shut it down on you two days later and still your money worst company ever $#*!ty customer service and they lie and steal don't ever use them

Go Daddy actually charged my VISA 2 years after I cancelled all my accounts. On March 13, they told me they would credit the charge, but now they refuse to do it.

They started my website but never finished it. Stay far away from this company. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

Love this site, only problem is the auto renewal. They enroll you in it and you have to call to get a refund. Takes up too much of my time. If I needed it again then I would have reordered it myself.

They will con you out of your money if given a chance. They cost me thousands of dollars by accepting my payment for a domain and then never giving me access to the domain. They then tried to charge me 3x the amount for the domain I had already purchased. CROOOKS & CONMEN that don't care about you at all.

Go daddy have been a very good company to do buisness with, they have excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. I have seen that other people have not had such a great expirience as me so i would like to say that this is from my oppinion only, i have never had a problem with go daddy and overall i would reccomend them.

DON'T EVER USE GO DADDY FOR HOSTING! THEY EVEN HAVE BAD REVIEWS ON THEIR OWN SITE! I WISH I'D READ THEM FIRST. THEY DID SOME MAINTENANCE ON THE HOSTING SERVER I WAS ON - AND LOST MY ENTIRE DATABASE! THEN, A FEW WEEKS LATER THEY DID SOME MAINTENANCE - AND MY WEBSITE WAS DOWN FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK. I'M LOOKING TO GET SOME LEGAL ACTION! I HAVE TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR AS THE LOWEST RATING - BUT I WOULD GIVE THEM -0- STARS!
