I was charged, yes, $12.97 for what? I never signed up for this service and from all the reviews I've read, over 300 people have unknowingly been charged this fee. When I called Freeshipping, the representative asked for my debit card number. WOW. I don't order online, so I don't know how this happened. I don't scam people, but your company must be raking it in and it is criminal. Unfortunately, I will have to call again to cancel something I never signed up for in the first place.
As I was checking out of a website where I had just purchased an item, a button popup appeared asking if I wanted to get 10% or $10 (don't remember which) off shipping. I clicked the button because, yes, I wanted a discount on shipping. I was then asked to supply information including credit card no. Thinking it was part of the same site I had made my recent purchase. I did think it was odd they wanted the same info from the purchase site. I realized then that I made a mistake supplying this info but it was too late, they already had it. A few days later, I got an inquiry from my credit card company asking if a $13 charge was a legitimate purchase. I told them "no", explaining how I'd been tricked into signing up for this thinking I would get money off this shipping charge, and nothing else about the service was explained that I saw. My credit card company declined the payment and I sent an email requesting my account be cancelled.
Whatever you do, do not use freeshipping.com. I usually know better then this to fall into the trap of companies like this, but unfortunately had a weak moment one night and clicked the button for their service. Once I did I was being charged $12.97 to my charge card. Once I realized this, I immediately called them and had it stopped. They did reverse the charges without hesitation, but ironically I now have fraud on the very card that this was hitting. And interesting enough all my other charges are with reputable companies. So, my suspicion lies with freeshipping.com. Do not trust them with your information. They are nothing but a scam. So I guess they will stick it to you one way or another, either by $12.97 a month or rip you off by stealing your information and charging a bunch of charges on your credit card! Thank God my cc company realized it and put a stop to all the charges.

I subscribed because he sent me the return shipping. But they never told me I had to pay $ 12.97 per month; What I notice today in my account after several months that have been charging my card. It's not fair, they never gave me that information. I'm very upset.
Hi Tanya,
I'd be happy to explain to you exactly how you joined FreeShipping.com, as well as issue a refund to you for this charge. Can you please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com so I can refund your account for you. Please reference Customer Loyalty #S521.

Like many others here, I signed up for the trial period after making a purchase on Groupon, not realizing that there was a fee for the trial period. Apparently it's in the terms & conditions, but they make it very hard to notice and word the trial period like it's a free seven days before you're billed for membership. This seems dishonest and due to practices like this, I don't feel comfortable continuing to patronize this site and would warn others to read the fine print on everything.
Hi Lyndsey,
I am very sorry for any confusion regarding the membership fee. I will be happy to issue a refund for you.

Made a Sears Parts purchase and got the $10 Sears Card offer to sign up for FreeShipping.com. No membership fees were mentioned, even in the FAQ. There was one FAQ that mentioned what your billing statement would look like from the fee charged, but that was it. Glad I found this site because for $12.97 a month it's bogus, IMO.
Hi Kent, I wanted to let you know that the terms of the offer, including the monthly billing after the trial period, are clearly stated to the right of where you enter you credit card. Thank you
I never signed up for this service which I have just realized has been charging my account a monthly charge of $12.97. The charge to my account has been using a different last 4 digits none of which are mine. The charge is not leaving me with any way to contact them as most reputable do as in a toll free number. If I don't hear anything from them I will being going to my bank account and filing a non-authorized charge and dispute it.
After finally paying my citibank credit card balance down to $0.00 I wondered why my next statement showed a balance of $12.97. Turns out freeshipping.com has been charging my CC that amount each month for AT LEAST TWO YEARS. Shame on me for not being vigilant enough to catch these scammers! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would but will give them a lowest possible "1".
Been using freeshipping for the past 4 months. Unfortunately and fortunately for me, wife shops like a crazy (a little of that is me shopping too). Using free shipping, I have been able to save a few hundred $ so far. Cant complain.
Hi Moneer,
So glad to hear that you are able to save using our program. If you ever have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out!
Thanks!
When I went online shopping through freeshipping.com, the transaction would not appear in my 'savings center', so that I can not get my money back. I emailed them with this issue, and they said I did not go through their web, and I can not proof anything! It happened 3 times a month! I got 1.5 Dollars cash back a month by paying them$12.99. Just SCAM, be far far away from it!
Hi Zhe, when you contacted us about the purchase not reporting to us, we did immediately reach out to the retailer regarding this issue. In order to receive the cash back, we have a few general rules to ensure that you receive the cash back that you are due. These are not rules that are set forth by our company, instead we have to follow the rules of the retailers. If we do not receive the information from your order because one of these restrictions, there is nothing that we can do. I am sorry to hear that you did not find great benefit in your membership, however if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
I have been a member for years. Not only do you get your shipping back, up to $10.00 each time, you also get cash back at some sites. Usually it's 10% but sometimes Walmart has been 20%. I've done the math and it's well worth it. There are a lot of business that you can shop and save shipping with They also do return shipping, up to $10.00 each and competitive shopping.
I have used FreeShipping for years. Get 10% always and sometimes 20% rebate on purchases from most larger retailers. Get shipping rebates up to 12 times a year up to 10$ for each order for each store. They have quickly addressed any problem but, for me problems are very rare. For me this saves 100$ of dollars per year. Sometimes over a 1000$
Hi David,
We’re so happy to hear that our site has been saving you money! It’s good to know you’re taking advantage of our 20% cash back promotions and making the most of our savings benefits. Thanks so much for coming here and sharing your positive experience. Keep on shopping and saving!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
Took $12.97 out of my bank account! Never received a check for shipping and they got my info from ProPlants.com Refuse to refund my money! Filed a disputed claim with my bank. Hopefully will get it back. STAY AWAY!
If the only complaint from the reviewer is 'SCAM' then they just can't read the English language; or choose not to read, and just click*click*click through the pages.
Everything is fully explained when you sign up.
That being said, it's not worth it. Doesn't really save you that much money, takes forever for most checks to get back to you, and the responsibilities are put on you. There are much better services out there.
I signed up for the free trial and they charge me $12.97; When I called them, they answered me in a really rude way. I said "at least you should send a email to remind me that my free trial is going to expire or do something instead of charging me money secretly" and they said that's your responsibility and no one forced you to sign up our free trial, that is your own choice". So, I lost $12.97 without getting anything. Freeshipping.com is such a bad company. Never use their service!
Very time consuming to keep track that they record all your purchases. If you use a store's coupon, you don't get the rebate. I would join for the christmas season when i do a lot of shopping online, but don't know if they will allow me.
Hi Pat, we apologize for the confusion regarding the cash back. Please view a full list of the how it works section on our site to ensure you receive the cash back you are owed. Unfortunately, if there is an outside coupon used, the retailer won't send us the purchase information. If you do want to join for Christmas season, please contact us directly to reinstate your previous membership, instead of signing up for a new membership. Thanks!
I thought free shipping was a scam however it is not. The customer service is excellent and they have a great history of paying out of claims from what I have read. The amount that they charge on a regular basis is not much compared to how much you will receive in return. I also understand their 1000 a year limit because the benefits they offer are so good that they need to have a cap. I also want to say that Samantha who is a supervisor was excellent in addressing my needs. She was very professional and resolved my claims on a timely manner. Highly recommend it
Hi Michael,
Please reach out directly at Help@Freeshipping.com, we will be happy to review your account.
Thanks
I never went to any site EVER about this company. I only order off ebay and amazon. Somehow supposedly they said I clicked on a pop up and they magically got my debit card info without even putting anything in! This place is a scam! They took 70 dollars out of my account before I caught on! I had to change my debit card. I told the company I was going to get them for fraud. The 70 dollars was put back in my account fast! Im reporting this company hard on better business bureau! I recommend everyone do the same to get them shut down! I was never sent anything about being in this program! Nothing!
Hi Angela, we're sorry for any confusion regarding the membership fee. Please reach out directly at Help@Freeshipping.com, we will be happy to help.
I end up forced to sign up since theres a rebate for the tax and delivery charge, and instead of signing out my Worst mistake I ever made. I then noticed that they started to take money out of my account. Please beware of this scammer.
The monthly membership fee of $ 12.97 only is beneficial if your monthly purchases are greater than $ 129.70 since they base the discount on your total net purchases. In many cases the discount or "free shipping" directly from a retailer (which this site does not allow special retailer coupons) saves you a lot more than using this site. It's hardly "free shipping"which the retailers themselves lure you to go to this site.
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
Answer: Hello - No problem, I have sent confirmation of this to your email.
Answer: Hi Carla, Please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com. I will be happy to issue a refund for the membership fee. Thanks! Samantha Customer Support Supervisor

Hi Deborah, sorry for any confusion regarding your account. If we are unable to locate your account using your general information we may ask for the first 6 and the last 4 digits of the card that was charged, however we would never ask for a full card number. I would be more than happy to refund your account, can you please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
