Users can cancel their account any time during their trial period by logging into their account or contacting customer service. They are entirely transparent about the process. It's not only spelled out in numerous places on the site, on every single store page, but they also have a video you can watch that takes you through the process. It's not a ripoff when someone fails to follow the rules they agreed to when signing up. I almost didn't try them out based on these reviews which is why I now feel compelled to comment. I thought the process might be difficult based on all these complaints, but it's a breeze! Perhaps some people are not computer savvy enough to know they need to be able to track you to verify the shopping info, thus you need to start at their site each time, etc. If you don't do that, the store won't send them the cash back for referring you to the store. But, regardless, the steps are spelled out very clearly. I just got over $100 total back for my first month, from using the stores I normally shop with and some I don't. The only difference is that when I am ready to place the order, I go to their website, find the store page I want and click the link. I then check out in the browser window that opens, easy peasy. If I have shipping charges, I go to the rebate section and enter the info requested and send in an email with the order confirmation. They will reimburse you up to $10 max shipping per order, even on sites that don't offer cash back. After reading so many of the poor reviews here, I noticed the vast majority simply didn't follow protocol and yet the company rep is on here replying to every complaint, offering to rectify the situation. A shady business wouldn't bother and I've been impressed with their effort. BTW, I also used the free site Ebates.com for the first time this past month and they had offers from stores not available through freeshipping.com. The process was the same, but the amount cash back is mostly less.

I have been using freshipping.com for some time now. It was all good until it wasnt. Last week they shut my account down citing I had multiple accounts from this address. But thats not true, I cancelled my account before signing up with my different and preferred email id. The real reason they cancelled me was because they owe me more than $600 in rebates, they had me go through their site for multiple purchase over the last few months and when it came time to pay they cancelled on me without notice. They didnt even sent me the check for last month. When reached out support they said they dont have any knowledge of it and a big executive will email me with explanation which I did get from a guy Joe( same guy who does customer support) saying multiple accounts violation. So respectfully asked him can you show me the dates of these accounts active but there has been no response. So I checked other complaints about this company and the pattern is the same: whenever your rebate goes a little high like greater than $200 they cancel on you without notice. I even asked them to talk to me and sort it out for the higher rebates but they never responded. Now I want to urge others who were scammed like this to do the following so others are protected:
- Reach out to the retailers and complained about this company. Return your stuff you bought from them and give them the reason
- Call you credit card company to block this merchant as put them in the black list.
- I have a corp lawyer friend who is helping me guide through this on if we can do some sort of small court case on them. Reach out to one and see if this is what you want to pursue. If I have more than 10 such cases we can all file against them together.

Update:
In the past few days freeshipping.com actively worked with me to clear any confusions. Not only they agreed to accept my rebates/cashbacks they also reinstated my membership with them. I have been with them since 2018 and will continue forward. I will try to spread this positive feed back and update any complaints I filed against them with this outcome. Again, I really appreciate the help.

Bizarre fraudulent company

Originally I liked this company when I first started using them. The problems started this year. I would unsibscribe when I knew I wasn't going to be doing much shopping and i'd come back when I did plan on doing a lot of online shopping. They happily let me spend 3500 over 3 different purchases and everything appeared to be working like normal. Then one day I get an email saying a credit from them was applied to my card. I check and they refunded my sub and cancelled my account. They owed me over 300 dollars and they certainly got paid for my transactions.

When I reached out to their pathetic excuse for customer service I was told I violated their policy by resubscribing. Per "Joe" with support, you are only allowed to sub one time, if you ever cancel you can never come back or they will wait until your month is almost up (so they can make as much money off you as possible) and then they cancel your account so they get to keep your money on top of what they earned.

This is FRAUDULENT activity. As a Director of Service, I can tell you there is nothing anywhere on their site that states you can never return if you cancel your sub. In fact, in the email they sent me when I un-subbed this past May, it clearly states they "Hope to see you again". Yet their CS states no. You can never come back.

It's a shame, it might go good for you initially but they will screw you over and their CS is the worst I've dealt with. They will respond sometimes, eventually, but they really don't know what they are doing and they have zero talent for CS.

I'm going to speak with my legal department at work and see what sort of footing I have to file a class action lawsuit. This company is definitely not on the up and up. If I could give them negative stars, I would.
