Yes, I made a mistake entering my wife's name on the ticket incorrectly... i. e. It didn't match her passport. Flighthub had us on 2 carriers namely Delta and Alaska. I phoned the day to ask FH to make the necessary corrections before the flight and I was assured the changes and the airlines were notified. Well, we got to the airport this morning at 4 a.m. only to find out the change wasn't made.We were not allowed to board. We did call them from the airport and all we got was excuses and were told we had to forfeit our tickets and money... twitter here we come

Flighthub Frustration

A little compassion could go a long way in big businesses.

I quickly booked a flight last Friday to go see my father who is in his last stage of ALS. His doctor said he had little more than a week left to communicate because he was deteriorating rapidly. Thus, I decided to fly although I have an anxiety disorder and I have a fear of flying. Less than 36 hours I receive a call saying my father would probably not recognize me anymore. I was also feeling sick and knew it would be unwise to visit him and affect him.

Thus, since I have only flown once in 10 years, I thought I could just cancel my flight. I phoned Flighthub and spoke to a man named Bon. He was not a good communicator and did not provide good service. When I repeatedly asked to speak to a supervisor, he basically refused me. He said that if I wanted to speak to someone else I could hang up and phone back and it would be the luck of the draw if I got him or someone else. I would have found this distressing on a good day but I was already under stress so that did not help.

I phoned back that evening and spoke to Nigel. He was nice but said I could not receive a refund and would have an additional $75 cancellation fee. I have to fly before the end of the year and will be subjected to another additional fee. I have a fear of flying and will drive when my father passes. I am not rich and I am now out $950 as if I did not have enough to deal with.

My real problem, is the lack of empathy when you are just a reference number.

I booked a ticket online when I received the conformation it was a different ticket with a layover! I called them within 2 mins of booking to change it. They said I could not change it! And that I would have to be refunded to book again. I said ok, they then informed me it would take 2-10 days to get my refund. They then called me later that night and told me they needed another 75.00 to do this and if I didn't pay the 75.00 within 24 hours the ticket would be non refundable! All because of an error on their part!.,,. I gave them the 75.00 and it's been 5 days and I am still waiting for my refund!

Successful Experience

I'm here because FlightHub got my first ticketing experience with them right. Ticket in hand, I had an uneventful time at the airport going back to Laos and the trip was a good deal, too! I'll definitely use them again.

I used FlightHub to search for tickets for a few years now. It's an excellent site for firstimers and people who want to book w/o other problems. I never had serious problems with them, the flights I booked went smoothly and were dirt cheap too.

Worst company-Deceitful!

They charged my card extra money and wouldn't return it and would not give compensation. They are the worst company, a bunch of con artists. Go with the actual airline and save yourself the headache.

We purchased 5 tickets with a Flight Hub agent; completed the deal, received confirmation number, and were promised to be sent a number of e-mail messages with an itinerary and a seat selection shortly. 24 later, we did not receive any messages and phoned again to inquire. An agent confirmed the deal, bur said that it would take longer to process it. 3 days later and several more call to inquire, we were told that our deal was cancelled and the new price was more than $150 higher per ticket. Flight Hub was not willing to take any responsibility for making several mistakes (e.g. Spelling our e-mail with two mistakes after having been corrected twice *******@sympathico.com instead *******@sympatico.ca); twice promising and never sending an electronic itinerary; cancelling the deal without obtaining our permission/request or sending us a notification). We waited for 45 min on-line, but never were given a chance to speak to a supervisor. At the end, we re-booked the flight 4 days later, having paid at least $500 more for the deal. Stay away from this company.

We booked with Flight Hub for our trip to Florida. My father wanted us to change our daughters' flight by one week so that she could fly with him a week early to spend time with her grandparents before we arrived. After 5 attempts talking with the CSRs from Flight Hub (was hung up on twice, was told I would get a call back and did not once, the other two times I was directed to Delta who told me that Flight Hub HAD to change the flight, as they were unable), I was still unable to get anyone to help me.

Also, I would like to point out that I am aware of the extra charges and willing to pay, I'm not even trying to get out of that!

I am now on my 6th attempt to get help (currently on hold). Oh, was just directed to the survey (gave a terrible review) and was hung up on. So now I will try for the SEVENTH time to get someone to help me.

I cannot believe it is this hard to change a flight. I will never book with Flight Hub again, I would rather pay the extra money and deal directly with the airline!

Customer service is TERRIBLE. They take your $$ and then want nothing to do with you afterwards.

DON'T use flighthub

I booked tickets from Toronto to Thailand through flighthub (China Eastern airline). About a week before we were to leave, I received an email from China Eastern saying our itinerary had been changed and to contact them. It was impossible to get through to them after trying many times. I finally contacted flighthub and was told a new itinerary would be emailed to me. A new email never came, even after calling several times. In one of my calls, the flighthub rep gave me details of a new itinerary over the phone and promised I would receive a confirmation email in 15 minutes. I waited 2 hours and called back. Same promise was made that an email would be sent. It never came. We went to the airport on the day of our flight only to find that even though our names were listed as passengers for the flight, it was never properly confirmed and we were not able to receive a boarding pass. After several more calls to flighthub from the airport (again, with promises being made that a confirmation email would be sent), our flight left without us. This was our first big overseas trip and I can't describe the disappointment and utter disbelief that this was happening. We ended up waiting at the airport until China Eastern opened their wickets (8 1/2 hours after we arrived) and were able to get a confirmed itinerary. We finally flew out 12 hours after arriving at the airport. What a nightmare! Flighthub is happy to take your money but useless in solving any problems that may arise. Next time we will definitely book through a travel agent.

Bad! Terrible!

Really wish there's a way i can give zero stars. I bought tickets for myself and 2 kids. Before buying I asked and was told I could change my travel date as long as I used the ticket within a year. I had to cancel my dates, I did this up to a month before my travel date, they still assured me that i could use the ticket within 1 year. 4 months later, I tried to use my tickets, at first they agreed to change to my new date and I was put on hold for a long period of time, till the line cut off. I called back and was transferred from one person to the other, in the end they told me that I could not use the ticket anymore as it was no longer valid. I was shocked! I called back severally but nothing was done, they insisted that the time period for me to use the ticket had lapsed. I called the airline directly and they assured me that my ticket was still valid for many months but there was nothing they could do for me since I did not buy directly from them. I lost a lot of money to these people, wasted a lot of time on phone with them mostly being put on hold. I advise friends and family to keep away!

I recently booked a flight on Flight hub going to the Sates and for some reason it didn't work even thought confirmation came through so I ended up booking it again with a confirmation. The next morning I received an email addressing there was an issue and that the first flight was book correctly and visa was processed, I called them to advise them about the double booking as their website cause the error, I'm now being forced to pay 2 $75 cancelation fees even thought the error was on their end. I could go on but I don't want to waste my time.

On another note the communication skills of the person I'm talking to is really bad and I feel like I'm talking to someone in Asia. Very poor customer service and its the last time I go thru that website

Theft

The dates I booked did not reflect the dates in my e-mail. When I called to change the supervisor Renee had no idea which site he was taking a ca for at first, then when it was cleared up he said it was $300 to cancel, $400 to rebook. Really wish I saw this site before I booked but, but the system changed my dates without notice and simply tried to hit me up for more cash. Never let anyone use flighthub

Terrible
January 19, 2017

They accidentally charged me 3 times for my flight. I contacted them on Dec 6th, and they promised me a refund for the mistake charges within 6 weeks.

Over 6 weeks later I called them back, no refund. They tried to tell me they had already refunded me, and to contact the bank. I knew they had not, and the agent then tried to tell me that it was going to take an additional 6-8 weeks to refund.

This charge is on a credit card and I cannot afford to pay the charges (over $7000!). Therefore, I have interest building up on it. By the time they get me a refund within 6-8 weeks it will be around $1200 in charges.

After 5h on the phone with them the most I got was that i would get a refund in 6-8 weeks, but was unable to get any email confirmation about that. They refused to pay for the interest charges.

This was not my mistake, and yet somehow it is still my responsibility to pay for it. Not impressed.

Update**
Still have not received anything back. Not even an email confirmation that I would be getting my money back.
They requested my booking number (like they did with everyone else), but have not heard back from them. They just say that to look like they are helping.
