They are in the process of letting a member of theirs steal from me. They have been alerted to a fraudulent transaction which is pending in my account and they refuse to discuss it with me. Put me through to a voice mail. I do not have a HW account, I have never used HW, but they a billing my credit card because someone else used it fraudulently. They are aware of this and are unwilling to stop the transaction because I cannot verify the info in the account., Well of course I cant, I didnt create it. Account has my name and CC number but some other persons email, phone, zip etc. Because I can not verify that info they wont discuss, But I can read the Card number and my name and that is correct. Clearly fraud but they want nothing to do with it. Stear clear of this company. They do not care once the money is flowing. They have no easy avenue to correct issue with your account.

It's like they avoid changing flight plans at all cost, it should be way easier, never again, better off to buy directly from the airline and skip the middle man! Lesson learned thank you Expedia

No booking

I booked and paid for a room at the Paris Airport and when I got there, there was no booking. So, I had to pay for it again. Once to Ibis, which is great, and once to Expedia, for nothing and with which I will NEVER use again. I think that they are scam artists.

Expedia. No Thanks.

Terrible customer service! We booked a bundled flight package and needed to make an emergency change TO ONE TICKET. JetBlue is saying we can make the change and even gave us a Divided Reservation confirmation number to give to Expedia; because Expedia has to make the changes. Every person we've spoken to with Expedia's customer service says the airline is telling them per "airline" policy they can't. Liars and crooks. Even with a confirmation number from the JetBlue itself, Expedia wont make the change.

Great Deals

I went to las Vegas about 1 week ago and it was the perfect trip - I booked with them and was very happy with the hotel. We stayed at mandelay Bay which was great. I had tickets to the for cooperfield and he put on a show.

If you are planning to make a claim through the Expedia Best Price Guarantee don't expect a positive outcome. I recently booked a car rental through Expedia and within 24 hours found a better rate for the same car on their own website. I submitted my Best Price Guarantee claim and sent Expedia the required screen grabs to support my claim. I promptly received and email indicating that my claim would be addressed withing 72 hours. Four days later (96 hours) I had still heard nothing from Expedia so I cancelled my car rental and re-booked at a lower rate. On the fifth day (two days after they promised to deal with my claim) Expedia finally responded and denied my claim because I had already cancelled my original booking. I wouldn't be surprised if Expedia uses this tactic to avoid other Best Price Guarantee claims. It is not worth my time to engage in a lengthy dispute with Expedia trying to get my $50 Best Price Guarantee credit.

IT'S ALWAYS BEST TO BOOK FLIGHT TICKETS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AIRLINE. Never ever choose to use these third party Agents... All Refunds are problematic. All Rescheduling are Problematic.
Such a Pathetic experience with Expedia in booking the International Flight Ticket. Agents are simply closing the Chat window saying System is booting and contact later. No Proper Refund Process. No agents have proper knowledge about Airline, Pricing, Policies etc...
For every question, they take close to 20 minutes to answer. If you ask next question, it will be another 20 minutes. If you POST a feedback in Facebook page, they are deleting.

Greedy

We purchased non refundable flights to NYC in February for April trip on Expedia. When cities started shutting down around the country due to Covid 19 I tried for a long time to cancel our flights. The whole time they were hiding behind what the airline policies are. Finally at the end of March I received an email from Expedia that my flights are canceled and I have till February 2021 to use the credit. I was surprised they didn't refund our money but I had hope we'll be able to use the credit they gave us. Until I saw all the small writing and how the airline would charge me rebooking fee and decrease my credit if we fly to different destination because we'd have to pay taxes again. How greedy can you get in pandemic? So I called my bank and challenged the charges based on Expedia not responding to my calls. By the way they would only answer if I was ready to rebook my flights. I got my refund next day. Don't let these big corporations push you around, know your rights.

I love Expedia!

Ive booked several trips through Expedia, without a problem. Last weekend, I booked a flight on a Saturday with their 24 hour no charge cancellation. Monday morning I found I needed to change the dates of the flight. AA wouldnt waive the $200. Change fee, on the non refundable flight. I called Expedia, explained my problem, and the rebooked my flight, with full refund! They explained the 24 hour policy meant business work days, so Sunday didnt count. I wrote recommendation for Expedia on all my social media, after that! So great to find a company worthy of a positive review! Thank you, Expedia!

Expedia WAS a good company for anything related to traveling, now it is VERY good agent if you need a hard attack in addition to losing your money!
As a gold member, I decide to deal directly with airlines, hotels and other and never-ever deal with such fraud agency.

I used Expedia to book an all inclusive trip for our honeymoon. We paid extra for all the listed amenities. We arrived at the hotel only to find that we paid for a hotel room and airfare. Their site was very misleading and never offered an option to not have the all inclusive experience. And when we talked to the on site expedia rep, he was neither helpful or apologetic. The same goes for the supervisor when we returned home. He was actually quite rude and unhelpful, wanting only to get off the phone. We also knew we were going to have a problem when there were 15 other people at the hotel having the same issue upon check in. The hotel itself was apologetic but said it was Expedia that had booked it and that they could do nothing about it. I will be canceling my gold Expedia card as well as recommending that my on line friends boycott their service. My business site as well as my wifes business site will not be recommending them either.

The Worst!
December 15, 2020

I have been trying to get a refund for a flight that had to be canceled, due to Covid. I bought the insurance, so I would not have to have problems, in case a cancellation was necessary, and it has not mattered. I have waited over 9 months for a refund, and still have not received it. I can NEVER get a straight answer, and all they want to do is blame the airline. I booked with Expedia, and I expect them to make this right. This is NOT how you get return customers or referrals for new ones.

Horrible customer service

I have used Expedia no less then 10 times this year, I will never use them again. Wife and teenage daughter arrived at a hotel purchased through Expedia found bugs in the room, stains on the bed covers, trash in the microwave and a shirtless man began banging on their door who also had no shoes on and appeared to be homeless. I told her to leave and I would call Expedia. They refused to help me in anyway and refused to issue a refund even after I spent an hour on the phone with them and immediately purchased another room for my wife and daughter through Expedia. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Very disappointing
August 22, 2016

Tried to make flight bookings on Expedia online and received a message that the booking was rejected. So called the customer sevice and the agent helped to book the tickets.
A few hours later, received 2 confirmations: both the online and through the call centre. Called Expedia immediately and was on hold for very long and even after speaking with the expedia agent for a very long time was told that I am unable to cancel the double booking. Expedia is telling me to call airline directly. Shouldnt expedia take responsibility?! AND help me to cancel without charge and compensate me for all my trouble and time?! Anyone thinking of booking through expedia should really re-think!

I booked a room for my parents through Expedia accidentally (I have had bad experiences in the past with Expedia). So, when I didn't receive a confirmation, called the hotel directly and found out I had booked through Expedia, I was afraid. Rightfully so because my room was incorrectly reseverved. I paid for a king size room and was booked for a single room with a small bed. The hotel couldn't change it and calling Expedia was a joke. On hold for 45 mins, 3 different representatives and a suggested additional charge, I was told they would try by manager, Megan. I refused to pay anything for Expedia's mistake and decided to warn any and everyone NOT to use Expedia. There so many other options.

I am not happy with Expedia. The price changed to a lower price and the company denied the claim stating I have 24hrs to file a claim. Booked on 7/1/16 and found the same trip cheaper 7/6/16. Spent a long time on the phone filing the claim of $65. Then denied the claim on 7/7/16.

Exedia's best price guarantee means nothing. I promised to take Expedia's denial of claim and post it on the internet so others are not scammed by Expedia's statement that they have a low price guarantee. It's the same as a warranty that you cannot collect on unless you go to court.
Senior management needs to be notified of their lack of customer service. If they already know then your whole company is in trouble.

The company booked the wrong dates for my hotel. I called the customer service to have them change the dates for me and they said they would have the manager call back. My traveling day was coming up in less than a day and I needed it fixed. They had it booked for the following week. It wasn't until at least 3 weeks after that someone called me back to say that they would give me a credit for the hotel that I no longer needed. I called to dispute the charge with my credit card company but the Expedia claimed the charge was legit (No refunds whatsoever). I had been a customer with the company for over at least 10 years. I wouldn't spend another penny for this company and take my money elsewhere.

Lying to customers

Why do you tell us hotels / motels are full when they are NOT, l call and did get much better yes better prices than you l also tell people check prices at motels / hotels them self. You need to start TELLING the truth "oh" that's a bad word to Expedia and all of your company's. Check who owns the travel company's you are using.

After 2 reservations with expedia we were asked to provide a credit card which was not to be billed after wich we were sent an email which billed at a rate $10 to $20 higher than quoted. When I called to complain I was lied to and told the quote was as billed. When I told them to cancel I was immediately billed on my credit card. Avoid Epedia at all costs!

Ripoff!

Expedia would not respond when we attempted to apply a credit last December. Deadline to book flight and apply credit was December 31,2021. After that date Expedia said the deadline was actually June 30,2021 EVEN THOUGH we have an email confirming the December 31 date! Extremely dishonest! Avoid Expedia!
