Family and I flights booked but cancelled because of covid. My flights are with air Canada and I am looking for a refund but they are ignoring me. Never again will I book anything with Expedia.
Never, Never request a call back when you phone Customer Service, we had a issue, waste of time waiting online so we requested a call back, HUGE mistake, on average it took 7 Plus hours, then we got a rep that could not speak very good English! We gave a credit, we were not able to have full credit amount applied plus on our trip receipt we did not receive a break down of the cost, requested 3 times, would not provide a break down! We have a "Gold" status, so what, doesn't mean anything! This will be our last review about Expedia as we will NEVER deal with them again!
The first time I called they said I could only receive a travel credit for my cancelled flights even though I called with 24 hours. They said I would have had to of cancelled by 12p.m. The same day to receive a refund. That's not 24 hours. Then I called again, they said to call the Insurance company I had travel insurance with. A cancelled trip is not covered. I called again, they said to call Air Canada. Air Canada said to dispute the charges with the credit card company, there is nothing they can do. Everyone I called gave me the run around. I will never book through them again!
I have never used their service but for the last few mths they have been sending me another mans personal information inc address email and even acc balance with itinerary. I contacted them to fix the problem but instead they said they will have to contact him. This is my cell number for 5 years and they cant stop sending me personal info for someone else even after i blocked them so i emailed acc holder and told both parties i will make all info public in 24 hrs if problem is not solved and was reassured it was until 5 mins ago when they call looking for him so if you dont want someone to cancel yur flights hotels and tske your money stay away from EXPEDIA im not posting pics right now but if this continues all personal info will be posted to twitter
Booked hotel stay in Gravenhurst Ont. 3 weeks in advance just to make sure we got a room. In the meantime I received a "price alert" from expedia for same hotel, same room, same dates $40.00 cheaper. I filled out submission form as directed with all the info they requested 3 times! Because each time there was something "not included" I was denied the "lowest price guarantee" each time. They do not honour the "lowest price guarantee" beware they are scammers.
If I could give them 0 star I would! Booked a flight with them and learned the day before I had covid, so I called them and they said I would get a refound no problem. Fast forward two months they tell me they have no record of telling me we would get a refund because their employee forgot to fill the document. They scam me from 1000$ and now they say there's no way I can get it even if it's their fault!
I have been booking my trips with Expedia for the last 10 years at least. I fly and travel quite a bit. This time I booked a flight with condor airlines with Expedia. Im travelling with a baby and I was hoping to upgrade my seatjust upgrade. I called condor directly they keep referring me back to Expedia and Expedia keeps referring me back to condor. All I want is to spend more money on a premium seat and one week before my flight, I have not been able to do this. Its rediculous. I will never again book through Expedia. I will cancel my other reservations with them that I have pending. So disappointing.
Booked a flight to UK through Expedia, thinking I was using Canadian dollars. There was no indication that the pricing was in American dollars. I booked a Canadian airline departing from Toronto, and then got overcharged in CAD when they converted from USD. I contacted online help at Expedia, and they told me they couldn't provide any kind of relief. Pure rip-off.
After calling 8 times and trying to change a flight that airline changed on me we got no where. I have to lose over $1000 to cover an extra vaca for me and my husband because they didnt change my flight back to the original i paid for. Eventhough i did not request this change. After being on the phone for a whole afternoon, they gave me a $50 credit for $3000 worth of flights. Do not buy flights from them they have no control over anything
I always have problems with Expedia, easy to buy a ticket online yes, but as soon as there's any problem; a cancelation, delay. That is not even your fault, they're completely useless. I'm still waiting for a credit over $700 that they won't give me or let me use it. When I've tried to use it they said I could use but suddenly, the fare I saw online was doubled if I was to use the credit.
Another time my flight got canceled 5 times due to weather conditions and Covid, they didn't give any option just hanged up the phone over and over.
I have endless bad stories wit Expedia. The sad part is that I kept using it as I had the TD reward card and they always tempted me with points and unused credits that I 'could use'. They just have an awful service, I would have gin en them 0 stars but unfortunately, it wasn't possible
I paid for a two way trip from Newark last week. We followed the instructions and called when we landed. We were told our car would arrive in 6 minutes. 15 minutes later (while waiting in 36C (102F) sweltering heat I called again and was told no car had been dispatched. It took an hour to finally get a car, and the car was DISGUSTING. A dirty van with garbage strewn all over and no AC. He took a route google maps said was 20 minutes slower and we arrived at the hotel after a grueling 1hr45min drive in a sweltering, smelly car. I immediately complained to Carmel and was told I would hear back in 24-48 hours. That was last Thursday and to date no one has contacted me. Expedia did not stand behind the service I paid for through their site either. The first guy I spoke to was fine, but his manager was rude. My suggestion is to avoid Expedia and avoid CARMEL. You deserve better.
Never EVER rent a car with Expedia, as the price is NOT guaranteed and could be significantly more at the desk...
Was charged extra EUR 83 by Hertz in Luxemburg compared to Expedia price with fees and taxes all included. Keep rejecting the fault on Hertz back and forth, seller can charge extra fees/taxes blablabla... Got to hold to your deal guys, don't care who's at fault! At the end of the day, refused to give me any kind of compensation or hold for their imputability on the matter...
Hopefully, my CC provider will correct the situation created by those crooks.
I booked with a piece of mind, as I read on the web page I can cancel within 24 hr. When I got a better deal on Priceline, I booked that flight and called 12 hr later to cancel the Expedia's one. They refused, saying the airline doesn't allow it and so I was forced to cancel the one with Priceline. Ineresting, since it was a flight with the same airline, leaving at the same time and yet Priceline could do what Expedia couldn't. Never again Expedia.ca!
We booked a flight for $2000CAD on Expedia.ca, but they charged us $2000USD. When we contacted them, they refused to rectify their error. We will not use them again as they are dishonest. We are out $700 as a result.
I can only say that these people are professional thieves especially after they got your money so as soon as you pay you're finished you're doomed they let you know immediately that you have been ripped off
Even if you buy an insurance from them they will tell you this is the number call them we don't give a sh*t about you

Flight changed and I tried to change car pick up from afternoon to morning after only booking a few hours previously and they charged me almost full price. Do not deal with this company
I've used expedia actually quite often to research plane tickets, hotels deals, and have been a corporate member with their rewards program for quite some time now. Good site, always up to date.
When i booked my room it was 1 queen size bed with a jacuzzi tub in the room. When i checked my reservation the day before it was changed to a queen size bed that is wheel chair accessible with absolutley no tub only a roll in shower. And alk they would do to help me is book me another room at almost another 100$ more then origional price. Not a happy camper
Had an error with our booking so we had to cancel and rebook... Expedia said it was canceled so we rebooked and when we got to our hotel realized we had 2 rooms and they had not canceled the previous booking... we got our hotel money back but was refused after hours of my time on hold and with useless customer service representatives for our flights... we have now been forced to goto our credit card company to reverse the charges! We have used expedia for 7 trips and this is how we got treated! I will now get a travel credit card to insure my trips rather than trust this company!@
