I lost $400 by buying a hotel room on expedia a couple weeks ago. No refund because it was through expedia... if I had booked directly through the hotel I would have been fine. Lesson learned for me.

I was totally screwed by expedia and they wasted probably 20 hours of my life - anyone feel me!?

Agreed. I just lost 800 because expedia wont refund the tax and they tricked me to change the flight doesnt include luggage and seat and they clearly told me it includes. They put me on a case review. Another day wasting because they like to scam and Rep doesnt know what they are talking about. Never book with expedia.
