Expedia has cancelled my hotel reservation without notifying me or explaining the reason of it. Customer service did not resolve this issue and I still do not know what has happened. Untrustworthy.
DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA, THEY WILL RUIN YOUR VACATION AND STILL CHARGE YOU!
We booked 2 rooms back in February for this past Saturday. We showed the confirmation numbers to the hotel clerk upon arrival. The reservations did not exist and we spend over 4h trying to contact Expedia for them to fix THEIR mistake. It was very hard to get someone over the phone! Since it was Canada Day weekend, no other rooms were available in the city where we reserved. Expedia found us new rooms in another town (40 minutes away) and after all this waste of time, they expect us to pay for the 2 rooms that we never got at the previous hotel. Since I was handling this over the phone for several hours, my kids had to eat much later than expected and this ruined our night. We had other friends and family with us and we had to change our plans because of Expedia's MISTAKE. This was unacceptable and very frustrating. To avoid frustration, do NOT use Expedia's service. They didn't even try to make it up to us, they rather loose their clients and make money off of them.
I'm trying to reach customer support for 3 days to fix the issue the agent who booked my flight ticket committed. But, I could not reach them even after 2 hr of waiting for each call. I almost make 8 calls like that.
The worst service provider I ever experience. KIND ADVISE TO ALL NEVER EVER USE EXPEDIA TO BOOK ANY FLIGHT IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL WITH HOPE AND PEACE.

I booked into a hotel in Nova Scotia through Expedia.ca and found out there were no places to eat within 45 minutes drive.
I cancelled my booking within the allotted 2 day grace period but the charges went onto my credit card anyway. I tried several times to connect with "Customer Service" but always stalled out at the virtual agent stage and could not connect with an actual person to resolve the issue. The virtual agent kept me going round and round, asking the same questions and telling me that my email address was not in their "system"
I truly believe this runaround was designed to make me give up and forfeit the bogus charges to my card.
I resolved this by contacting the hotel directly and was told by the manager that my refund would be showing up on my statement very soon.
Expedia... SHAME ON YOU FOR THIS BS WAY OF TREATING CUSTOMERS! NEVER AGAIN!
We booked a cruise for the beginning of this year, we booked and upgraded and were told the total amount was 2020 CAD. On day 1 when we onboarded the cruise, we have been told there was an outbalancing of 534 CAD because the total was supposed to be 2554 CAD. Can you imagine how annoying is during the mid of the trip? We chose not to deal with it and paid it off first ( Otherwise they wouldn't let us leave the cruise) and handled it after our trip. The nightmare began there, endless calls to Expedia and no one knows what is going on. Basically, Cruise said Expedia told them there is an outbalancing, and Expedia didn't know what is going on. We didn't get the refund by the end, and too much time and energy were wasted on this, but this is really unacceptable and we will never use Expedia again!
Last month booked a car rental through Expedia and added collision protection too. When I went to LA Thrifty car rental at the airport to pick up the car, (waited 3 hours in line to get the vehicle- I didn't get the SUV that I booked) they have increased the Expedia quoted rental price and asked me to take additional collision protection through Thrifty and said Expedia's collision protection is not valid. Expedia already charged my credit card for the collision protection. Now I am after Expedia to get a refund for the collision protection coverage.
I tried to redeem my expedia credit voucher and they kept saying there were problems rebooking my flight. They made me wait over the for for over 3hrs and they kept saying that my rebooking was successful and then a few days later I would get an email saying that my transaction was cancelled. They kept doing this for almost 3 weeks and the price of my new flight kept going up, until the point that the difference that I had to pay for the new flight (from the airline in which I had the credit) was more than another flight from another airline.
They do not keep their word and have a horrible costumer service that is slow and inept. It is only good when you book a ticket and you do not have to make any cancellations or changes to it.
I have been trying for about 3 months now to use the flight credits I have with British Airways for a vacation booked through Expedia that was cancelled due to Covid
Phoning them has been useless as I get passed from person to person or being told they will phone me back in 72 hrs or that I need to phone British Airways. They never phone back and British Airways says I need to phone Expedia.
The site says I have 4 British Airways flight credits I need to use before the end of September 2023.
I would love to use them. One Expedia rep said I needed to re book the trip. Which I did and then I would get the credits. That was 2 months ago!
So now I have essentially paid twice for the trip with no credits and the Expedia site says I need to use them. TELL ME HOW!
I used my credit card for a Motel reservation, just to hold the room, but Expedia charged it to my credit card weeks before the actual Motel stay. On top of that they charged my credit card more than the actual price of the room. When I got to the motel, I couldn't stay there because the room stunk and the lady at the front desk was very rude, and there was alcoholics and drug addicts hanging around blowing their smoke all over the place. When I ask Expedia for help, they wouldn't do anything. They put me on hold for over 40 minutes and then when they finally answered, and found out it was me, they pretended that they couldn't hear me and hung up.

And was greeted by a very nice lovely lady Indi she helped us a lot as we had some problems with our reservation she answered all our questions and gave detailed explanation and fixed everything for a night check in we were not accepting this nice and professional service way to go Raddison for having this great staff

On a recent March Break weekend trip, I booked a hotel through Expedia. The hotel was wonderful. Just before leaving we decided to stay a second night. I called the hotel directly and as they had a room I booked while in the phone. The price of the hotel was OVER 50% LESS THAN EXPEDIA PRICE! Very disappointed in the way I was treated. I will not use this untrustworthy service again!

We booked flights through expedia and went on our trip. On our return we find out at the airport that the airline expedia booked no longer provides the flight. We booked in September and airline canceled all flights in December. We traveled in July and NEVER did expedia tell us our flight was canceled. We ended up having to book another last minute flight at a much higher rate and pay for an extra night at hotel. These agents are a JOKE! Not one trip we booked through them has gone smoothly. We are officially never using them again!
It'll probably take a year to resolve this with them...
A friend and I booked Extended Stay America Tampa Airport. We were both charged for the stay. They used my credit card as a booking on another Extended Stay hotel. Expedia would not refund.
I prepaid a trip they made a mistake and they tried to charge me 699 to fix it

Worst travel agency I have ever deal with, several times double charged for flights, problem with hotels and most recently canceled flight without informing us.
Worst experiance ever. Used to be good company. Changed my flight without checking with me. As result i was not able to change hotel through expedia. This will be last time i'm using them
They lied and charged us extra for a kitchenette, when the hotel had no such thing. Somehow the Doubletree hotels are in cahoots with Expedia.

Arrived at Firefly car rental at the airport to pick up our pre-booked vehicle through Expedia. This company at this popular location was no longer in business. Called Expedia for assistance - couldn't help so rebooked a vehicle for more than double the cost that we had originally booked and I might add, confirmed availability not once, but twice before our arrival. Expedia said they would arrange to cover our initial booking fee.
This turned into a 6 month long fiasco of one agent not telling the other what they had previously told us, few to no notes left of our discussions. End result: they said we were a no show to pick up our vehicle - no refund. How insulting and disappointing having had detailed conversations and providing everything we were asked to provide (e.g., receipts), being told we would be refunded and then getting a completely different result. Expedia does not take care to ensure that the car companies, hotels, etc. that you book through their service will be available when you arrive and if this is the case, based on our experience, you're on your own. Such poor service in our case.
