The customer service is useless. They are rude, not helpful and purely annoying. Their subscriptions often does not work. Avoid.

11 bogus charges in addition to Epoch.com for $159.99. I had to call my bank's fraud department and cancel my card. Very deceptive practices. Do NOT give them your credit card number - EVER!

If by "bogus" you mean you didn't make the purchases, then you did the right thing by canceling your card as it may have been compromised. If you would like to know what the charges were for, you're welcome to contact us with the last 4 digits of your card number and we can tell you what was purchased and when.

No PCI training
December 20, 2017

Epoch is not PCI compliant. This means your credit cards will be compromised. They don't even accept VISA or AMEX cards in most sites... use at your own risk!

Epoch is 100% PCI compliant and was one of the first companies to reach full compliance. Epoch is listed here: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/get_involved/participating_organizations

Additionally, Epoch accepts 39 different payment types, including Visa and Amex.

Fraud Scammers
June 28, 2019

They got me 119$ for a payment supposed to be 1$
This 119$ was no where before I accept the payment and only surprised by it after receiving paypal email.

To get the the higher amount of money from you, they transferred the trial memberships to the annual one, not even the monthly memberships.

I contacted them and they say: bah! You didn't read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS :)

There are multiple ways that purchase amounts are displayed to each customer. First, every site we process for is required to have clearly stated terms of purchase, and by "clearly stated" we mean in print size relative to any offer, in strong contrasting colors, and at the point of sale where you progress to a payment page. Second, the payment for where payment credentials are entered is controlled by the payment processor, Epoch, and each payment form fully discloses at the top of the page what you are purchasing, for how much, and if that sale has subscription terms. Third, once you make a purchase, you are sent an email receipt for your purchase that restates what you purchased and how to view your purchases. You can always see your account details in order to manage or cancel subscriptions or reach customer support. If you would like to post the page where you made your purchase, we can verify all of this with you.

Epoch doesn't host websites. Epoch is a billing company. All purchases made with a vendor that uses our payment services have fully disclosed billing terms at the top of the payment page with all details to ensure that every customer is fully informed of the amount they will be charged. Additionally, an email receipt is sent immediately to the purchaser to confirm the details of your purchase(s), and, the email provides information about and a link to our 24/7 customer service. You can also manage subscription purchases online without the need to make a call or send an email. If you have misplaced your email receipt, here are the various ways you may contact Epoch for a resolve to your questions. I hope you find this information helpful.

Without more information, I cannot comment on the specifics of your transaction(s). However, I suspect you have more than one subscription service. You can easily investigate this yourself at https://epoch.com. Alternatively, you can call us, requests that we call you, instant-chat online, Skype, or send an email to Epoch Support. You might also try using the "Search" field in your email account for the term "Epoch" and you will find purchase receipts for anything you've subscribed to via our services.

All of this information is available at epoch.com, the first place anyone should go with any questions regarding a charge, subscription or membership billed by Epoch.

Bad experience
July 22, 2018

I have used epoch services for several years. I have purchased three monthly subscriptions at the same day. Two month later one of the subscriptions refunded back the money. I have tried to purchase another subscription, but was informed that the system has blacklisted me for some reason. I have tried to contact support, to find out the reason, I was ready to provide all the details, including bank transactions to prove that I have been charged and my card and details provided were legit, but the online support said that they cannot do anything about it. And it is really stupid, cause once You enter email and card details on their website, You can see the history of purchases. The online support has offered me to use another billing company, I have contacted the webmaster- he said epoch is the only billing company they use, meaning I will not be able to purchase any subscription ever from that website. Awfull experience, no support is really provided. There was no reason explained, why I was blacklisted.

ACTION
July 2, 2017

I think it's about time for a " Class Action Lawsuit ", where to file it? I'd suppose New York... AGAIN, it's time for a " CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. This would only accept minimum 100 characters so I repeated myself... This would not allow no stars so I chose 1 star rating

VISA hates Epoch.com
August 5, 2019

I personally have nothing against Epoch.com. However, once you are subscribed in Epoch (whether it is what you want or against your will), your credit card company (mine is VISA) will go crazy and text / phone / email you every week that your credit card number is at risk and might have been leaked and you need to be careful and reissue the credit card to be safe.

I finally relented. I am receiving my new credit card and expiring the old one. I don't know why exactly, but the company like VISA wouldn't do such things unless Epoch has done something dodgy in the past. I don't know how VISA decides which business is dodgy or not. But there must be some history VISA is concerned about. I'm not claiming Epoch is a scammer, but at very least Epoch is not very careful about customer's personal information. (... according to VISA. But which one would you trust: VISA or Epoch?)

Reading the reviews here, I start to see why VISA warned me about my credit card security. If any website offers subscription through Epoch, stay away. The world's biggest credit card company, VISA, advises you to do so, too.

I'm still waiting for them to refund my visa debit card. I have spoke to them 4x in the last few days. Also I talked with them to try and escalate this so I can get my account credited. The refund was issued on Dec 1st, 9 days ago was to up to 5 business days to show up in my account, Checked the FAQs on their website and did not say more than 5 days but a CSR I talked to says up to 7 days, but I was not informed of this until I talked with them yesterday. I talked with my bank and was told it could take up to 2 weeks before it shows in the account, due to them being a non Canadian company, so some misleading information on their website. Also very rude customer service staff. I also got an abrupt email from them it reads as follows:" Dear Customer,

Our system shows the transaction is an authorization, we will not settle and the funds will go back to your account. Please review your account, the amount should appear as a pending amount. You can contact your bank or credit card company for a release date.

Thank you,
Billing Support"
So now i'll wave to wait for this to go back into my account.

Well, the good news is... if the "charges" are indeed just an authorization then you won't have to wait for a credit to work it's way back to you. Your funds should show in your account faster this way. Authorizations should revert within a few days (usually 5 or less).

Overview

Epoch has a rating of 1.5 stars from 105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Epoch most frequently mention credit card and customer service. Epoch ranks 53rd among Billing Software sites.
