Garbage
January 4, 2018

This company really sucks big time. Sign up for domains and hosting etc but nothing. But they took the money first thing. Service stinks bigger time. They don't seem to even know what they are doing there. Extremely long wait time for technical support. THEY OBVIOUSLY does not know the hosting or domain business. Or industry. Stick with other companies.

Cheap but confusing. They offered free domain, which I had to pay for to renew and wasn't free at all, hosting costs and other costs for two years cost me nearly £200, but the domain name was on the open market 6 months later and I lost it. E hosts say it was my fault as I did not renew. (But apologised and admitted a mistake had been made and if I renewed they would give me back the money)! Eh why should I have to pay for a site I spend months building when they lost the domain and refuse to accept responsibility. Why had I paid them all that money for? So yes it may seem cheap and is easy to use to build the site. But whats the point if you lose the site or end up paying lots more in extras because of complex admin, shifting blame, and poor after sales service. I have used many other host companies but never again with e hosts.

I bought a 4 year plan from ehost in 2015. I was pleased with the service for the first year. However, with no warning they decided to cancel my domain. So for several months my client was without a website and I had no idea until his clients started complaining they couldn't reach the site. I contacted ehost and they assured me the site would be back up in 24 - 48 hours (I never did get a good explanation why it was down in the first place). A month goes by and nothing! So then I started the dreaded email ticket trail that I've read in other reviews. They won't refund my money even though they failed to provide a service and now in order to get my domain, they are charging me another $15. Total scam and I would sue them in small claims if I knew who to talk to for all the time and money wasted dealing with them. Do NOT host with this company!

Scammers - bad company
January 8, 2018

I have had my website with eHost for 2.5 years. They have charged me bogus charges of which they would not refund me. They tell me I have registered my domain name twice, it was because they charged me a second time for the name 6 months after I had purchased it. They charged me for "domain privacy", without asking me if I wanted it. That took many phone calls to have removed and refunded. Once my subscription is terming, I will be moving to Go Daddy who seems MUCH more reuputable. Stay away from eHost for your own good.

I signed up to ehost for a year inclusive of a free email account. I recently had clients contacting me saying that emails to my account kept bouncing back. Having checked my account with ehost I found that my entire account had been cancelled! Upon contacting ehost regarding this, I was told that I had deleted my own account and that it could not be reinstated!?! Absolute rubbish, has been very costly in terms of time and effort! Have now gone with godaddy instead!

Worst company ever
December 14, 2017

They have deceitful practices. I cancelled 2 years ago 10 days after starting with them because I hated their services. It just plain sucked. 2 years later, I get notice that they billed my PayPal account for a 2 year subscription. If I cancelled 2 years ago then WTF are they billing me for something I didn't want. They did not delete my account, and kept my banking records on file. Don't use them.

At first I thought they were okay cause they were cheap but then I got charged fees after contacting support and they never told me I had to pay those fees before but fine. Next thing I know they kept playing with my cron job and changing the permissions on my files so then others were able to then hack into my system.

Not recommended.

All I wanted was my domain linked to my Office 365 account. Countless hours (and I mean hours... hours upon hours upon hours of very BAD elevator music) everything is still F'D up! None of the support tech's are truly IT trained. They are eHost trained... which apparently means they type your problem into a search bar and give you a PC text book answer not at all related to your question. Then they close your ticket without solving the problem. Even better... is NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH. And I mean no one. Which wouldn't bother me so much if I could at least understand what they are saying/asking! We know your name is not Susan. I'm going on 10 days and 7 tickets. I've had Microsoft support tech on a conference call with an ehost tech... couldn't even answer the other tech's questions. If you need a real website that functions for your business go to godaddy. This is not worth it. They are horrible.

Big mistake to go with them. They have charges for everything, and they go into your pay pal account claiming they are a recurring account, which means they can take money out of your pay pal account monthly. They are not an American company; they are hard to understand, but one thing is for sure, they are out for your money.

I am filing a class action law suit against them. If they have scammed or serviced you against their terms & conditions too, please get in touch at *******@gmail.com.
They have failed to renew my website on multiple occasions, charged me without asking and charged me for domain privacy which they didn't implement, leaving my name and address publicly accessible for several months. They attempted to issue a refund (a very low price for having breached my privacy in that way) and they issued it in the incorrect currency, meaning they hadn't even issued a full refund. Each time they are asked and supplied with evidence they deny it and have no clue about the business they are running.
I'm going to be suing them, and given how many reviews there are here, feel free to get in touch with me at *******@gmail.com as there are grounds to file a class action suit against them. If you're considering them, obviously, do not sign up.

... this would be it!

Awful from start to finish, they grab your money then ignore you.

Hosting renewal fees grabbed a month early with no warning...

Be careful what you click in their emails, a "click here for more" was actually a buy now link and resulted in my card being debited 116.79!

Requests for billing support are ignored

AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COST!

They are the worst hosting company ever. They reverified my domain so I couldn't change it for 60 days and now I get many calls to from India asking to develop it. They are the worst. They deserve this terrible rating. Stay away from these guys as they don't have a clue what they are doing.

Stay away and be safe or get hosed for hosting with them, will suspend your hosting account and demand ransom, to get it up and running. In my case they cited that one of my domain was infected with malware, for this they suspended my whole hosting. I had 30 websites hosted, I asked them to shut the domain that is affected so that my other websites can be up, but they want to hold you to ransom, asking me to get it fixed throug Sitelock which is another blood sucking company. Total thugs.

Simple email
December 20, 2017

3 weeks ago, my email setup outlook 2003 was rejected by ehost. They elevated the problem to a higher tech that solved the problem 2 days later. This has occurred again, password rejected by server and numbnuts wants all of the emails changed from pop3 ti imap, or, deleted and reinstalled, or... well i do not work for them. This is not a good place to host your web site if you would like to have email access with microsoft outlook.

I was told I would receive a refund after finding their ftp services to be poorly configured and a waste of time. I am a software developer by the way - I have worked with numerous hosting providers during my career and never had as many issues. As a service it is restricted and will keep you from doing anything beyond initial setup. As a company they will charge in any crooked backwards way they can manage. Save yourself and benefit from my experience - your better off anywhere else.

Just don't use them! They WILL steal money from your credit or debit card. There is no way to contact them from the UK. The number is bogus. They stole £164 from me!

Dialogue takes places with technical support within around 24 hours, however, every attempt to contact billing goes unanswered. Four days later after dozens of attempts to contact billing, I finally receive a reply saying that my money is being refunded (it hasn't) and furthermore they have suspended access to the account and I have lost hours of web development work. Ehost has an address registered in the USA, however, I believe they operate from the Philippines. What a dreadful way to run a business.

Hey,
I have tried using EHOST for my personal website and found it to be an truly awful experience.
EHost will not let you continue paying promotion price if you feel you need to test for a month first before committing to a yearly subscription. Promotion price is not valid for second purchase.
I was charged after specifically stating that I did not want to renew the monthly contract the following month.
I was accused of cancelling after the current billing period before proof was presented - fraudulent accounting
They are refusing to refund stolen money despite having proof of cancellation within the previous period.
Being ignored when looking for an answer despite several attempts to find a resolution. Customer service does not exist.
Not at any point was I informed that EHOST required two cancellations to cancel

Daniel

I can't even begin to express how horrible the support is at this company. Front end, things appear great until something happens and you need to attempt to solicit some level of support. Communication is lacking if it happens at all. Fixes never happen. I have requested someone to physically contact me due to the fact that I still cant get something resolved and they continue to hide behind cryptic emails, with no resolution in site. If there is any word of warning as it relates to doing business with eHost, it would be simple... DON'T!

This is a deceptive company. They are fraud, don't ever give them your credit card. They will abuse and put phantom charges. I have been charged without any approvals for unnecessary services.

I am going to move my WEB site to Square Space and take a loss of what I have already paid them, However, I will be filing complaint against eHost at my local civil court for complete refund of all charges. I don't like to do business with dishonest organization. This is definitely not a company you can trust.
