ETBH not only puts rare treasures and collectibles up for auction, the site actually educated names and details about items I've never seen.

They give you an estimated shipping cost based upon your zip code and mention that the price will be adjusted for multiple items from the same auction. Now the estimate seems a little high but one would assume that is so they don't underestimate when you get the true shipping cost.
I won two items that I had intended to be gifts. I went to pay for my items and found I had two options: a) pick up my items on a set day during a set, narrow. Time window which would have necessitated my leaving work early and dealing with heavy rush hour traffic or b) pay $68 to have an 11-pound box shipped less than 50 miles. Although I was not pleased with the absurd shipping cost I figured it was better than the time, stress, and hassle involved with trying to pick up the items.
On day 3 I received an email saying my items were being prepared for shipment and I would soon receive an email with a tracking number. On day 9 I inquired about the status of my shipment because nothing had been updated since day 3. That's when I had the pleasure of encountering their horrible customer service. Absolutely no concern for the customer at all. All this person was capable of doing was stating policy. I honestly do not know why this company even bothers employing a customer service department because EVERYTHING they said I already read for myself on their website.
This person ticked me off to the point that I immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company.
I don't hear anything else until day 14 I get an email with a tracking number. Day 15 there is a box sitting at my front door. So now I no longer need the purchase because the day it was to be gifted has passed. I'm not even sure if I want to open the box since I have a dispute pending. I've even thought about just claiming I never received it but the integrity I was raised with won't let me do it.
So, long story short, they took 15 days to ship me an 11-pound box less than 50 miles for a whopping $68. Insulting in an age when I can get an item weighing 10 times as much shipped to me the next day for free. They do not cut you a break on shipping which only means they are using the difference between the actual cost and what they charge to pad the bottom line and their concern for their customers is laughable at best.
My first and last purchased from this company and I cannot in good conscience recommend anybody doing business with them. I am thankful at this point that the no less than 10 other items I wanted I was outbid on. I am looking for every website I can find such as this so I can spread the word.

I have been a long-time supporter of EBTH. I have been supporting it since it was a small local business, unfortunately in the more recent years, things have gotten out of hand. The site and service itself are fine but the higher-ups at this company are a complete train wreck. I have witnessed many changes to how this company runs its operations and honestly, it saddens me. I have known many people who work for EBTH and they all say the same thing, "I just feel like I'm underappreciated." This aside, I happen to have connections with the VP of operation, whose name I will leave out (google it). The only encounter I have had was strange, to say the least. First of all, this man was dressed in an ill-fitting blazer. Also, I definitely only saw three buttons on the cuff so I am almost certain this particular garment was made for a large child. Second, this man smelled remarkable close to cottage cheese and I DO NOT mean just a faint odor. He also preceded to tell the entire group about his "legion of minions" he had beneath him (I can only assume he meant employees). Finally, and do not let me understate the redundancy here, he continually asked me if I would like to see his "Pog" collection? I genuinely do not have the faintest clue of what that could possibly mean but yes, the VP of Operations at a major company asked me this question, at the very least, ten separate times. Obviously, I was thoroughly confused. Not sure if this man is fit to be vice president of anything (with the exception of a company that specializes in whatever a "pog" collection is). Nonetheless, I thought my personal experience with EBTH was worth sharing. I believe that a company is only as strong as those who run it. Therefore, through what I have seen, I will no longer continue to support Everything but The House.

Sent To EBTH: I had an issue on Tuesday 1/24/17 that I felt needed to be reported to you. I arrived at the Blue Ash location to pick up an item. It was supposed to start at 3:30, I was there at 3:15 and there were about 20 people in front of me. Nobody was complaining and most people were taking to other people in line. All at once a loud voice was heard and we all turned to the area of cashiers. The man (I certainly cannot call him gentleman) was berating a "runner" for taking 2 packages to a clients car. He said (and I quote) I don't care how many little old ladies are here, you do not take packages to cars. It will slow down the process. You pick it up and put it here next to the cashier area. After they sign they can carry it out - not you! Do you get it? 1. It was embarrassing to watch this person talked to in a very insulting voice. 2. I was one of the little old ladies standing in line. When my item came, I put it on the floor to push it out. I usually bring a cart to use for my items, but I had forgotten it. The cashier said "do you want help?' I said " No Way!, I don't want anyone to get in trouble.", She smiled and nodded. As I put it on the floor 6 people came out of line to say they would carry it. The woman who picked it up said she has been coming a long time and had never heard anything like that before, I agreed. I have been participating in your auctions since one year after you became a business. I have always been very pleased with every person in our employ until now. A woman several people in front of me was embarrassed also by this guy because she did not have her invoice number. She had downloaded the wrong page to her phone. For years, I have seen people give their name and usually what they were picking up or how many items were being picked up. If you are changing the policy of what is needed that should be in print when sale is completed, so they do not have to be embarrassed by this "jerk' in front of everyone. He was rude the last time I saw him, but nothing like yesterday. He is a fairly tall white man with a long ponytail. I am one of the "little old ladies" who do business with you - I am 72 years old and in the last 7 years I have had both knees replaced, one - twice and a hip replacement. I need a cane to walk and am not used to be referenced this way. I know that at least 30 people in line were dismayed at his actions. I will share the experience with my friends and I hope you will address this with him. I am a retired Quality Improvement nurse and this type of behavior is not excusable.

Banned for Honest Review
July 31, 2020
Updated review

*** 2nd Update: (July 2020) I wrote an honest review and provided pictures of two negative EBTH experiences (after several good purchases) last year. I posted an update out of fairness to the company regarding resolution of the issue. I subsequently deleted the app and have not used their service since. Recently, however, I tried to log in to my account to obtain invoices and descriptions of items won, in case we were not able to keep them in our new home and have to list them for sale. Apparently my account was "closed" by the company and without any communication from them informing me of this action. Another red flag from EBTH. Just wanted to share an update for those who were considering shopping from or selling with EBTH.

*** 1st update: (originally posted as a comment in March 2019) For anyone considering purchasing with this company, I wanted to post an update out of fairness: I was originally told by customer service that there was nothing they could/would do as the backing is not integral to the rug. The color differences and staining were not mentioned or addressed. (That was one phone call and four emails two back and forth.) I let customer service know that was deeply disappointing, given their pictures and description, and that I would be reviewing their site accordingly. I posted reviews (and pictures where possible) on the app store, Better Business Bureau, and here. I received responses via two of those outlets and was asked to reach back out to EBTH. I did so providing a synopsis of the customer service response to-date, a screenshot of the review, and attaching the pictures that were posted publicly. After many back and forth emails (16 in total), I was told that a $75 partial refund as a courtesy was the most that could be offered. I advised that I would like a full refund and asked that the case be escalated to a supervisor. I let customer service know that I had the original packaging and would be happy to drop the item off for shipping or they could arrange for a courier to come to my home to pick it up. I also advised (after speaking with my credit card company) that if after management review a $75 partial refund on a nearly $300 item was sincerely the best that could be done, I would take the rug and the EBTH item listing to a professional, get a second opinion, dispute the charge, and have the charge adjudicated by a third party. I never spoke with or was contacted by a supervisor but was given a pre-paid UPS label and told that upon receipt of the item a full refund would be issued to my credit card. It was communicated that this was, under no uncertain terms, a ONE TIME courtesy. Bottom line: there are ways to return items that have did not meet their listing descriptions, but be prepared to work for them. EBTH's customer service does not make it easy. I have received my refund and have since deleted the app. I don't want to risk being fooled by their misleading listings again and be stuck with the next item.

Buyer Beware
March 16, 2019
Previous review

I had three great purchases with EBTH, but will not use it after my last two. Their images are heavily edited; I've had two rugs arrive that were drastically different looking than in their pictures. The written description of the conditions are intentionally vague. In my most recent purchase, EBTH went so far as to show two separate images of the leather binding on the back of the rug (one corner and one cropped bit along an edge) appearing to be in perfect condition; upon receipt it is actually coming completely undone on two corners and shows when flat on the floor.

EBTH's customer service failed to address their intentionally deceptive listing and told me that "the edge support tape is not integral to the rug and would be a very simple repair."

I will not be shopping with them again, personally or professionally. I would urge others to shop with caution, especially for rugs or anything fabric.
