six months ago ebth auctioned some items on my behalf. However, they did not list my coach bag or my 15 Versace buttons. Six months of communication has yielded no results. Could someone please tell me, short of legal action, how to resolve this problem.

I have filed with the BBB and IC3 for internet fraud, and I am writing the Attorney General of Ohio. These guys make the used car salesman of the 60's look like saints. The products are marginal, and the service i mean customer service is non-existent. I also filed a fraud case with my bank, because for 3 week I got the run-around about them shipping the item, I never got it, and they said they couldn't return my money. Not true! In the United States, keeping the money and keeping the merchandise is illegal. Don't let the technology and glam of the website fool you, they are deceptive, dishonest, and you get the 'EVERYTHING BUT WHAT YOU PAID FOR.

I want to file a class action lawsuit against ebth Im a seller who trusted this company to sell my late mothers estate only to be bamboozled. I have recorded conversations with several employees making me feel at ease with the procedure as I felt uncomfortable during the process of removing items from my home. I also have everything documented from the first conversation and any text messages/emails to and from this deceitful company

Yes. Definately file your claim with the Better Business Bureau. I did and had success instantly.

Once you sign the agreement between yourself and EBTH, you are at their mercy. They can either sell, donate, throw away or give away your stuff. I mean who in their right mind would sign such an agreement?

Regarding selling through EBTH, I've been involved in the Antiques/auction business for many years and know to fully document and list what I consign-down to taking photographs of what I'm consigning. And I follow up on descriptions and am a very squeaky wheel when they screw up-which is often. Their cataloguers pretty much handle everything-so you may get someone knowledgeable or someone who doesn't have a clue. It's all about cranking out as much as possible in the least amount of time. The only upside to consigning is they process payments quickly. The sliding scale on commissions (and I'm sure "volume" consignors get a better rate) is highway robbery. If you have high enough quality items and want it handled in a respectful manner-go elseware.
