I won a bid for a refurbished Dell laptop for my husband. He didn't need anything fancy so we both thought this would be fine for his needs. When it finally arrived it in no way looked like the picture on Tophatters website. Someone had beat the hell out of it. I 'm not sure what you'd have to do to get a laptop in this condition. It looked liked it had taken the brunt of someones anger issues. But for the price if it worked we could overlook the condition. I go to charge it up and find no power cord/battery pack has been included. I send an email regarding this major oversite but get no response. I go to Amazon and buy one for 6.00, no biggie. Two days later I get the missing items. It would have been nice if someone had informed me they had been shipped instead of magically appearing with no explanation. Anyway, we plug it in. My husband spends the next 2 hours just trying to connect to the internet. There were so many things wrong that it was obvious it was never refurbished. I contacted Tophatter about returning it for a refund. I was supposed to have a return label emailed to me but I never received one. I returned to tophatter looking for someway of contacting their CS other than email, which no-one pays attention to. I happened to see a email from I guess the seller, and he was kind enough to send me an address where I could return the laptop, on my dime. Ya, I don't think so. I tried repeatedly to get someone to respond, which someone finally did, but I had thrown it out by then. Lesson learned, not worth the headache. I deleted my account.
