I have to be careful, there is way to many great items for sale. The service is great, other than it would be nice if they combined items for shipping. When buying a "few" items and have to pay shipping for each item adds up. I understand why but nevertheless it would be nice. The items you buy when they show up are better in appearance then they are advertised and they in the description they usually give all the information for you and you have a good feeling about what you buy. I buy jewelry so that what I am referring too. I love the amount of information in the description, my recent purchase of a ring, 14k with 1C of diamonds, I felt really confident with my purchase. When it showed up, WOW is all I can say, it is absolutely beautiful. They mention that the center stone, a cubic zirconia, had a few chips or scratches, and I wondered how bad. When it showed up, WOW, I didn't notice them unless I used a magnify. I did test the diamonds and yes each and everyone on them is real. So I recommend this site and feel confident that you will get a better item then you thought you were buying. I should say the opposite to chase away the competition but I can't lie. Stay safe.
I have bought all kinds of things and always been more than pleased
Also jewelry has been a good investment. There is a little something for everyone
Be careful. It is written Charleston or Month Pleasant sale, but accually the sale is from Ohio. At the end of the auction if you did win, they charge you the shipping whithout your will.
Like most online buying experiences I was having fun browsing and looking at all the different and unique items all from the convenience of my own iphone. I purchased jewelry, furniture (via pickup), vintage household knick knacks, art, records, harmonicas, you name it. I can handle a few things here and there that are inaccurately described and move on with my day. However, today was the day I deleted the app. I purchased a serigraph and when I received it the condition was much worse then described and depicted in photos. This piece had water damage with brown staining around the verso and cracks in the verso on the lower 30% of the item. The listing stated there was discoloration but the piece was in "good" condition. Well, $430 later plus shipping to CA I received a very water damaged piece. I sent off to a paper restoration company and they said that there was not a process they could complete that wouldn't damage the piece further. I emailed EBTH to let them know that I was upset about the misrepresentation. They stood behind their representation and told me a fair piece would have physical tears in it. I honestly don't see how dark water damage, dirty handling, folding and cracks in verso would be considered "good" condition. Either way, the arrogance and lack of any accountability got the better of me and I will do something more worthwhile with my time then purchase through them.
I was a seller on ebth. I sold about 200 very high end, new in box light fixtures. During the photography process the careless workers broke 2 new lamps. Each costing just over $3000!
The infuriating thing is that no one said anything about it to me. I only found out when I saw the broken lamps myself. I brought this up to the supervisor and was told I should claim it on my home owners insurance! They would take no responsibility for the 2 broken lamps and the onsite workers wouldn't fess up to breaking them. There were no other people in my garage so the ebth workers had to have broke them.
The person writing the descriptions was so bad that I literally had to research and write each description (200+ items!) myself and forward it to the ebth office so they could update the severely lacking description their worker wrote. This took me 2 full days and many many hours. She was fired after my sale. That's how bad she was.
Ebth is horribly bad for the sellers as it is for buyers. Please, do yourselves a favor and run away from this company. Life is too short to be raked over the coals by ebth.
I have many more horror stories as a buyer. So many, that I finally cancelled my ebth account and stopped bidding altogether. I can't say enough bad things about this company and how it is run. And * in the Atlanta office is a fraudster and should be in jail for her actions while working with ebth.

As you can see the bids jumped from $1467 to a bid of $1600 by a new bidder (with a lower member number) who inflated the bid price. I think this site has unmonitored Schillers (people who inflate the bid price and have no intention of purchasing)
Also some of the merchandise appears to be from pawn shops, and are not really part of an estate that belonged to a distinctive home owner.
Dealing with this company for two years with declining satisfaction.
As of this year EBTH is getting very questionable about their business practices.
In the latest (and last) purchase I thought I had avoided S/H and could pick up locally.
SURPRISE, I just bought something and must have item shipped to me at almost the same cost of the small item I won.
EBTH S/H is very expensive, items are often over packaged with tape and bubble wrap and take forever to arrive to your address.
BEWARE when bidding! There is a prompt that should come up that you agree to the S/H terms before you bid. That prompt NEVER came up last night, so I thought I had avoided the S/H.
Kept waiting for the invoice and had to contact them (first time this has happened) never received it Contacted them and asked where's the invoice? EBTH sent invoice quickly after that.
Note to all, if there is NO street address, the item WILL be shipped and cost you a more than you can imagine possible.
Deleting their website after item arrives.
Reviews should tell everyone to STAY AWAY from buying anything from EBTH.
Be sure to read all the reviews before you bid.
Purchased 45 items with the cost of shipping exceeding $500.00. In spite of the fact that it has been well documented that FedEx is short staffed, EBTH continues to honor their contract with FedEx. All 45 packages were DELAYED. I ordered a belt buckle on January 3rd. The cost of shipping was over $30.00 to ship out a belt buckle. It's been sitting on FedEx shelve since January 15th. Rather than call FedEx customer service overseas, I gave EBTH a wake up call - AGAIN.
Heaven forbid that you're not home when FedEx attempts to deliver a parcel that requires a signature. It took EBTH to file a Claim to get my parcel delivered.
If you look up EBTH Better business bureau, they keep getting Dinged on the cost of shipping. That doesn't seem to phase this Corporation.
Winning an auction from EBTH is pretty anti climatic. It takes an average of two weeks for your jewelry to be delivered in a gift box valued at a penny. Whether you won an auction for a $17,000 Diamond ring or a $1.00 sterling silver ring, it's all the same to EBTH. Both items are going to be shipped in either a small bubble wrap envelop or a small box in a No Frills small paper gift box that You can buy at the Dollar store for a nickel.
Other than that, all of their items that I have received are Everything uncommon and are as described.
I paid for this item on January 17,2022 and as of today February 1 has NOT SHIPPED yet. Also, it is very difficult to reach out to their Customer Service.
Bought an IPaD online which did not work. I returned the item but the Company refused refund! They wished me a "nice day" however
Purchased items on different occasions. Two times I was strung along for a month as to when it would ship. Then told the items were lost?!
I enjoyed the bidding. Pickup in Cincinnati was easy and efficient. Streamlined for COVID. Item is beautiful and just as expected. Very pleased.
They have everything from A to Z. If you are looking for that special gift, this is the place you should be shopping!
My experiences with auction have been very good. Shipping is high but items are generally well packed and items arrive in timely manner.
This is a great site, especially if you enjoy auctions and a huge selection of goods to bid on. Check it out.
Gorgeous coach purse brand new condition at a great price! Easy to shop website and can search for what you're looking for!
My visa fraud number was stolen, and used in germany, on $ 1458 USD, I think they do not have a security system or someone sold my visa number and data..
My favorite pastime. Very professional and reliable. You can count on them. A great place to find what you want.
Answer: I am just got through selling items through EBTH, and it has been the worst experience I have ever had. They grouped many expensive items together because they thought it was in the best interest of the company not the seller. I am also currently seeking legal council to potentially file suit against the company for fraudulent business practices. They didn't even give me a copy of their so called "contract", that I had to sign and send in with my items, until there was only 1 hour left in my sale. They left out the most expensive pieces I sent in and didn't sell them at all, didn't find out why until sale was over. As if all this weren't enough, they took real diamonds from the items I sent in to sell and replaced them with "white sapphires". So needless to say, they're probably about to get hit with a heavy lawsuit!
Answer: I have filed with the BBB and IC3 for internet fraud, and I am writing the Attorney General of Ohio. These guys make the used car salesman of the 60's look like saints. The products are marginal, and the service i mean customer service is non-existent. I also filed a fraud case with my bank, because for 3 week I got the run-around about them shipping the item, I never got it, and they said they couldn't return my money. Not true! In the United States, keeping the money and keeping the merchandise is illegal. Don't let the technology and glam of the website fool you, they are deceptive, dishonest, and you get the 'EVERYTHING BUT WHAT YOU PAID FOR.
Answer: Just to let you know ebth customers and consignors are dropping like flies. The arrogant company just terminated nearly 300 employees and closed markets in many states. That means its not growing, its failing.
Answer: I've not sold with them and never would. I've read the responses from people who sold items with these people and if you would like to be ripped off, then by all means go ahead. You'd fair much better by locating an auction house in your area. My experience with this particular bunch of thieves is on the buying end. Photos do not show the big picture, if there is a flaw in any item it will not be in the description and most certainly will not be photographed. The exorbitant shipping charges are insane. I'm not sure if as a seller you would see any profit from shipping, my guess is it goes right into their pockets. This is a very dishonest bunch from top to bottom. Please find a reputable dealer to sell you cherished items, I cannot stress this enough.
Answer: I bid on a pair of Swarovski Crystal Penguins. I was unaware that the larger Penguin was supposed to have a "tail" at the back. It's difficult to see with the cutting of the crystal so I only noticed it when I saw another like item and it had the tail. I closely inspected and can see what I thought was a cut in the crystal is really not smooth and is where the tail should be. The item was delivered on May 12. I put in a claim on July 2 and the company is standing on their 30 day return policy even though they listed as good condition and it was not broken in the box, I've spent thousands of dollars at their site and probably would have continued. The customer service individual refused to let me speak to a manager and just kept repeating the same thing. Now for 134 dollars, I am done with ever buying another thing. Not a good way to run a business. If they are going out... it's no wonder.
