Love this store, good quality items and great prices! With the extremely friendly lady at the front checkout- there is even more to love! Wish I had gotten her name! She told me the store was under new management, I haven't lived in Snellville long, so not sure how it was before new management but am impressed with it now! Will certainly be back really soon & is now one of my favorite stores! It is really close to home so will surely be a frequent shopper! Thank you!
I used to love dollar general. But now and days you can't walk down half the aisle do to carts of stock being on the floor, no matter what day of the week it is. I understand needing to make a profit by keeping cost low. But every store I go into is like this. It is a safety hazard to customers and employees as they risk having product fall on them, and it's also a fire hazard as the other day you couldn't get down 5 aisles even without a cart. Dollar general should not be allowed to continue to operate with such poor working and shopping conditions!
Manager at store #******* needs to find another job. Because sitting behind a desk accusing a fifteen year old of stealing is very very wrong... all because the fifteen year old was standing on the same isle as a women who was being accused of stealing. Stupid manager said fifteen year old walked into store with women being accused of stealing... wrong... she walked into the store with her grandmother... me... my granddaughter had to go outside and get a buggy because there were none in the store and just happen to follow this women in the store... really! I wouldn't shop at that store again if my life depends on it... she should be out getting buggies instead of accusing a fifteen year old who had to be frisked because this stupid so called fat blonde girl said she was caught stealing... I watched the video. My granddaughter never once stuck anything anywhere... and of course no apology was given... yeah good management...
Dollar General would be a textbook example of how NOT to run a store! They are always understaffed, often only one person or two to run the store. Frequently, no one at the register for long periods of time. Lots of turnover, I imagine pay is minimal. Must always check your receipt because of overcharges on items, especially SALE items. Have walked out of store without purchasing anything several times because no one was at register. Their online coupons don't work! This seems to hold true for many of their locations so can only assume it is a corporate problem!
2/9/22…. Went to Dollar General in Eagle River, WI this afternoon for the first time moving here. Store was nice but the check out lady was rude and down right nasty. I asked her a few common questions and she would snap back with the answers. I always try to see the good in people and realize we all have a bad day, but with her demeanor and the way she snapped at me after each of my questions you can bet I won't be coming back. Totally uncalled for the way I was treated! This lady is going to hurt your business in the long run if you keep her on.
This is the 4th and last time I will shop at a Dollar General! I have been repeatedly miss lead by their sales and items. When I get to their counter, I either get told their machine is down and cannot honor your phone number for sales and discounts. Or I get told a sale is already over when there are more than one sign still up, representing a (the) sale item is still on sale. The cashiers are never helpful and just say oh well. This is miss leading to consumer. Definitely not good business practice. I have call corporate, which is also a joke as they will send you to multiple people throughout the company to get you nowhere. As I said, I am done with a Dollar General and I will never shop there again, unless I find their business practice has changed.

Went to one of the local dollar general stores, and didn't see what i was looking for. Before i left a lady named Makayla recognized me, asked about what i was looking for, and retrieved some product from the stockroom for me. She did all of this with a smile. Dollar general store #******* in hammond, la. Should know that Makayla is an exceptional employee who works everyday to make sure that her customers are taken care of. The store is neat clean and organized. I CAN shop ANYWHERE i choose, but im ok going to my local dollar general. I hope someone important in the organization reads this
My wife worked here until tonight. She starts a much better job Monday! Their reviews are fake. Her manager and district manager made her as ASST MNG write fake reviews nightly with receipts customers didn't take. They're horrible people to work for and very rude! The product in this store goes bad often because they won't fix the AC or refrigeration in the coolers. Joanna the store manager and Amanda the district manager are very unprofessional and very untrained for management. I'll never shop at any DG again!
I visited Dollar General on Arch Street and pike. I noticed the signed stated mask required was removed from the door. I also witnessed for the third time a employee not wearing a mask. It is very upsetting and disturbing that people take other people safety for granted. No one wants COVID-19. It's very disgusting! Was a former employee and was sexually assaulted by a training store manager, he grabbed me by my whole neck and almost pulled me from the office chair... Made me feel so uncomfortable unsafe and very unwelcome I feel so disgusted... I stayed an additional month to comfort this problem and they looked at me as I was speaking tongue. Made me feel lesser of a person for sure... Your caught on cameras my dude... But y'all don't wanna address it? I run to Dollar General to get dryer sheets. Only one kind, overpriced but for a digital coupon which I assume gets generated at the register. No. I have to go home, log in, and give them my phone number for life so they can harass me for the pleasure of attempting to get a decent price on any everyday item at their store. I say bullsh*t. Now I have to go back and return it on principal, and rethink ever going there again. What a waste of time.

Today I was discriminated against by dollar general. I have a underlying medical condition. Which makes my high risk for covid-19. But because I 'm no over 65 I was denied the ability to show at your store. This company need to do better at taking caring ALL high risk individuals instead of just seniors.
This store manager Monique was extremely rude to me! Her attitude is beyond nasty and she treats customers like crap. She was pissed off that she was the only one working during the hour and decided to take it off on the customers. She was choosing not to serve customers that didn't wear their mask perfectly to her liking. Even those wearing masks were turned away. She decided to call the cops, she is a horrible person. It is obvious she hates her job but she should not be taking it out on customers!
I ordered from dollargeneral.com. At first they charged me an extra $2 dollars. I called and they said it was a processing charge to verify my card and that they were going to refund the extra $2 back... WRONG! They never refunded me back! Next thing I know they charged an extra $16! Contacted them again, they gave me the run around and didn't do anything about it. Scam artists! Not to mention delivery takes forever! I will never buy anything on there again!
It stinks, the floors are nasty, open and unopened items are laying on the floor and everything is in disarray. I am surprised the health department hasn't closed it. Ceiling tiles are down from leaks and there is a moldy smell. I have never seen a place of business in such bad condition. I would like to go again but not until there is some improvement. I have always liked Dollar General and I hope they go back to keeping their store in tip top shape. This is the only time I have written a review as I was so surprised by it's condition.
Dollar General is an Akron's awesome store, relatively cheap and easily accessible. The only problem I have which could easily be rectified is the meat selection, they have a nice vegetation aisle but to go along with that you should also add more of steak, chicken, and hamburger meat style selection.

And when you go to call the number it won't let you get through to a human being and that's me calling four different numbers. So I will never shop at this s***** store again I want to get treated like crap I'll go somewhere else I don't know how they stayed in business this long to be honest with you their store looks ugly it's all out of disarray and this has been my final experience. This Dollar General store has improved 100 percent since Mr. Kendrick(might be wrong spelling) has been involved with the store. The store is clean, I can always find what I need(and more). I am amazed by how even the staff has become nicer & more helpful. Before Mr. Kendrick, some of the staff even acted like you were bothering them for coming into the store!
