I recently just went to dollar general and i called the store before arriving and i was told they close at 9pm and once i got there at 8:35pm they closed the doors and just standing around talking and laughing. All i needed was milk for my baby but they wouldnt let me in. How can they say they close at 9pm but already have their doors locked by 8:30pm

The Lewisburg Dollar general/store has almost every thing a person could need. It's like a miniature grocery store. It's also really organized because of it's amazing workers. These people are extremely nice, and as a person that struggles with social anxiety I love that I've found a place to purchase from that has nice people and good customer service. Even though I mainly go up there to see my favorite workers and buy energy drinks I'd rate this store a 10/10 :)
Dollar general has very crowded aisles with carts and extra stuff but great costumer service I was helped by April who is the best employee and was very nice and helped her best to awnser ever little question I had

The manager at mouthcard dollar general's store is questionable, I have personally heard her talk to her employees and some customers plum awful. There was an older gentleman that fell and she told him that "maybe he shouldn't be so clumsy and that he just fell because he wanted money from her and that he should bring his walker next time", I have also heard her talk about a 12 year old little girls body(it was the little girls butt she was talking about) and told customers and her fellow employees to go look; and told one of the employees to ask said little girl where she bought her butt at because she wanted one. She's rude to the customers and tells the customers and her new employees lies on why her previous employees quit on her. Customers have complained on her to corporate and nothing is ever done I figured I'd leave this review.

Have any of you ever been asked to empty your pockets when leaving a store? We took our autistic, teenaged son to a dollar general in Daytona Beach Shores (2112 S Atlantic Avenue). He picked out some things. My husband was taking him to the car while I paid for it. The store manager asked him to empty his pockets because they "looked suspicious". He refused. When I entered the store, the cashier told me that I needed to leave my backpack behind the counter. I went ahead and did it even though I shouldn't have. This was before they entered the store. It was crazy and we'rean AfricanAmerican family. I'm not about to let this go.

I understand why the service at Dollar General is so horrible, it's because corporate has no urgency or concern for the customers either. The dollar general on 280 and black Creek ga has the rudest employees they follow u around the store and they turn the self checkout off when certain people come in the store and I got banned from the property this morning just for asking for the number to the corporate office so I could make a complaint an employee went out to the parking lot and flagged down an office to give me a piece of paper saying I can't come back on the property I want every employee that was there and treated me like that this morning fired and I'm going to make sure that happens
So I shop at the Dollar General on Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls Texas and besides the fact the rarely have any products, I bought spray paint there to do a project and in the middle of my project it stopped spraying. So I went back with my receipt. At first she tried to say she couldn't refund it so I had to do an exchange. I wanted my money back so she scanned the item an was instructed to put it on a gift card. I didn't want a gift card cause I had my receipt, I wanted my money back. So the she called Kristen, the District Manager and suddenly told me she couldn't do an exchange or gift card so I'm now out of $12 for their faulty product.
