The Dollar General on Main Street Dayton Ohio was starting to get better especially after remodeling went in there today and food in meat salad 50% off the cashier wouldn't honor it go look or even check with manager also got apple/caramel pack and when I got him the apple slices rotten I will not be going back to that store!

Wasteful spending

They spent all that money to put in self checkouts, then decide that it's too easy to steal so we go to 1 checker 1 checkout stand Why is that all the good people have to face the wrath the the demons. Hello they are not stealing because of self checkouts they are clearly doing the sloppy work of the devil and if you had a brain you could easily stop it but unfortunately you just decided to make us all suffer while your one checkout stand is working with all the customers lining up, they could literally wipe your store out Wake up America save your own souls

I stopped in 2 months ago to get balloons blown up for a gender reveal and was ripped apart for not calling ahead to "give them a heads up." I only needed 5 balloons blown up……I then stopped for a baby shower to get balloons blown up and called 1 week in advance to *make sure it was ok to stop in* I asked to drop the balloons off and pick them up in the morning for the baby shower. The lady who blows up the balloons said the girl who worked the next morning "couldn't tie the balloons." And asked to blow them up right then. The balloons were deflated the next morning! I am appalled by the way they talk to their customers. The gentleman behind the desk is very sarcastic and talks to his customers like they know nothing. I don't see how they are able to keep their positions. I would rate these workers in the negative if I could.

Treat employees terribly. This reflects in every aspect of the company. They have yet to realize if you treat employees good, there is better performance overall. They encourage DMs and above to threaten those below continuously.
Be careful of anything you purchase also. Items come in frozen as well as subjected to extreme temperatures which negatively affect the quality, medicines - food - baby food and formula are some good examples. Further, they send food in totes that are never cleaned, therefore items (i.e. Food, medicines, toothpaste, skincare, etc) come in totes that have mold and all kinds of gross in them, not to mention the cross contamination. Fresh foods such as lunchmeats, butter, cheese, yougurt. Keilbasa and so on, are often shipped in totes of water that has been sitting in them from being rained in when people don't flip them over.

Cashier is so rude and literally would not help me get an item from a top shelf. I left my cart and everything in it sitting and walked out. This is the store at 711 Mulberry ST in Loudon, Tn.

I went to the dollar general store#******* while visiting my daughter in Michigan.

The gentleman was very helpful and friendly. I like good customer service. While checking out, I hut the wrong face, and thought I hit a smiley face. Sorry about that.

1) Employee unaware of online coupons nor Saturday $5 off $25.
2) Shelves a mess. Unlike-items stocked together. Made it difficult to locate purchases.
3) Garden clippers & tools not stocked. Store never has 1-gallon sized distilled vinegar but they keep the shelf open & the item label posted.
4) Two employees loudly and clearly conversed using 'F**k' this and 'G*d d**n' that. Customers were present, all ages, all demographic.
5) Employee (one of above) used a bent-wrist motion to SLING purchases into bag.
***Employees choosing retail employment need clear guidance on acceptable storefront behaviour. And basic instruction on stocking & bagging skills. What I and the other customers experienced was discourteous and offensive.

RACIST EMPLOYEE'S

DOLLAR GENERAL IN EUTAWVILLE ARE HORRIBLE. The employees are Illiterate, they could not fill out a wage verification form for DSS. Everybody got manger titles but no one can do manger duties. The workers we had dealings with treated my husband like he had forged this form when it had all of Orangeburge County information on the form. We have gone to the store 8 different times and they have REFUSED to fill out the form. Today is the deadline. Dollar general use to be my favorite store, but after this experience I will not shop her anymore.I will shop at Family Dollars now.

I was at dollar general in mountain Grove MO this morning. I was at the self-check out when the employee approached me. She wanted to "help." She grabbed the receipt from the machine and proceeded to go over it to make sure I payed for everything. I had 2 orders so 2 items remained in the cart because I was just finishing up the first order. I was embarrassed and mad both. Me, my son and brother will never shop there again.

The Smethport Pennsylvania location is absolutely filthy! There are cigarette butts all outside from workers. It's never cleaned up outside. The inside floors are just dirty with filth on them and products everywhere. You can't walk down an isle because of all the products. Stuff is off the shelf and just thrown places. I only shop there when I absolutely have to because of this. Management is a joke. She'll be on the phone stocking shelves throwing the "F" bomb. She's not friendly and always seems bothered if you have to ask a question or for help. Overheard her saying she wasn't going to do the display the way DG recommends and if they didn't like it, too bad. I hope the new store gets better NEW management and has someone that will keep the property clean inside and outside. Have pride! If I was out of town coming into Smethport, I'd keep driving.

Went to the Dollar General on Broadway in Alton,il. I walked into the store hearing the cashier who was in the back arguing with her boyfriend on the phone, I walk up to the cashier (still arguing with her boyfriend),someone yelled at her she came out of the back slammed her phone down check me out not a hi or thank you walked out of the store still arguing and the store phone ringing. Stopped there one morning at 9:00 store still not open, I won't be going back

Was a former employee and was sexually assaulted by a training store manager, he grabbed me by my whole neck and almost pulled me from the office chair... Made me feel so uncomfortable unsafe and very unwelcome I feel so disgusted... I stayed an additional month to comfort this problem and they looked at me as I was speaking tongue. Made me feel lesser of a person for sure... Your caught on cameras my dude... But y'all don't wanna address it? I hope to see my lawyer soon you put me two months out of work bcuz of this and you guys don't want to answer or look into the problem... I'm so disgusted in a malti billion dollar company... Only takes matters in there own hands when there stores get shot up in a drive by... #killed two employees for them to pay the families wow that's gross as could be...

They want your feedback on their product or guarantee satisfaction,,,,THEY DO NOT! I purchased their toilet paper, stated "UNSCENTED" was not unscented. It ended up causing me UTI and other issues due to sensitivity. Contacted them, had a ticket number, said it would be escalated, 9 days later still never been contacted. I'll handle with legal help now.

Dollar General in Crystal City/Festus, MO kicked all customers out of the store during a tornado warning, stating store policy. This is extremely unsafe. I am honestly flabbergasted and furious. I had my kids with me. How can this be ok?

Bought enough items to reach $25 but wouldn't accept the $5 coupon (Saturdays).
Not the first time this happened.
Maybe if enough customers cancel and walk out they will fix their faulty system.
Oh, and living in the country it's a 8 mile drive to and from the store (16 miles).

I have been to Dollar General on Avalon Blvd and Commerce in Milton, Fl several times. Their staff is never present at the register. They roll their eyes at customers and are rude. Service is so poor and slow, I've chosen to go to higher priced stores. They need to fire their staff and hire a whole new crew.
