The new remodeled store is very nice. It has never had enough help and now that it is remodeled and more customers are trading it would help greatly if you could have more full time employees. These girls are busy trying to check folks out and have no time to stock. Therefore stock is sitting everywhere... It is going to be necessary to have a place to place carts out on the parking lot or you are going to see carts come up missing. The wind in this area is strong and carts are going to get blown away. I hope this review will help. I appreciate the remodeling that has been done... but let's get it finished and looking great.
Awful management. The manager is rude, Selfish, cusses employees out, doesn't care to do her job unless it's suitable for her. Creates drama with everyone that works under her. Pregnant employees included. Can't hold employees to save her life.

I went into the dollar general with my mom who's in a wheelchair with one leg and the isles where so packed with boxes I tried moving the metal frame cart that was in the way to push my mom down the isle and the employee took the metal cart on tried pushing it towards us and to us we"needed" to go another isle so we went one isle over and the shelves were completely empty, there were so many boxes lying in the isle we couldn't get around that way either, I pray her mom or a loved one never becomes wheelchair bound, we will NEVER go back into dollar gener store on Fm 1459&Hwy 35 Sweeny Texas. Btw. She was an heavy set white girl brown hair wearing glasses. Never again dollar general will u disrespect my momma
It seem your company offers digital coupons which dont always come off during purchases. I am getting frustrated with this. Digital coupons do but not the special of of $5 off 25 or gain $5 off 30. I am not the only one it is a recurring problem. I am ready to go to other store to shop with coupons because most coupons offer area generally same in circulation. I come to you store for that extra discount, if I am not getting them then I am moving on.
The shipping system and low staff is ridiculous! You can hardly get down the isles - fire hazard, tripping on items not on shelves etc! 2 employees for a store is terrible. They're setup to fail! I have discontinued shopping in your stores.

Duncanville, TX ******* so, i I went to the store and when paying I was charged double for each item, I checked my ticket and decided to take photos of the prices to prove to the cashier that I had been overcharged, the cashier took a long time to correct them and returned what I paid He wanted to and in the end, apart from making me sign twice, he did not return my purchase receipt. I will definitely not be buying from your store again for some time. The store is not tidy and the prices are either not up to date or they usually charge whatever they want, they think the customer is not going to notice, this is not the first time they have done this to me, on other occasions I have had the same problem. The cashier didn't apologize either. I didn't like his attitude.
I was at a Dolalr General located in Rochester NY last night and witnessed a manager argue with a customer about paper plates he wanted to purchase. Then she got on her personal phone and called someone to come to the store to assault customer. A guy walked in within a minute or two of call to fight a customer. It was absolutely insane. I called corporate today and was unable to get my call back like I scheduled. I don't know why someone with this mindset has a job in customer service. I was so afraid. I didn't know if the person had a weapon or what. The manager ended up walking out of business after altercation. Her friend ended up knocked out on the floor. So sad
A very nice manager just left. Too overwhelmed. Area going to pot. I was in there twice a day. No more. I saw theft first hand. A bunch of thugs there now. One got really mean with me yesterday. He's new too Amazing. Place is filthy. I'll drive out of my way somewhere else.
If you think you may need to return an item, don't use the self-check out. You will not be allowed to make a return since in-store scanner cannot read the bars of a receipt from self-check out.
2/9/22…. Went to Dollar General in Eagle River, WI this afternoon for the first time moving here. Store was nice but the check out lady was rude and down right nasty. I asked her a few common questions and she would snap back with the answers. I always try to see the good in people and realize we all have a bad day, but with her demeanor and the way she snapped at me after each of my questions you can bet I won't be coming back. Totally uncalled for the way I was treated! This lady is going to hurt your business in the long run if you keep her on.
I just wanted to say that my dollar general has the best manager and assistant manager their customer service was outstanding and they are both very welcoming! Amber Peters and Marissa Towery are valuable employees Dollar General could ever have and I just wanted to let everyone know if you are in Green Cove stop by Dollar General on highway 17 store number ******* and get your products from them at a reasonable price and have a positive shopping experience you wont regret it!

Called the Store in Clyde, NY to see if they had any Pokemon Cards in Stock. Was Told they had many different varieties. Drove 35 mins to store to find out that they have nothing in Pokemon - Poor Customer Service to outright LIE to you - Never again will I set another foot in a Dollar General.

The Cassopolis Michigan DG was going out of business if something wasn't done no one wanted to shop there. But now it is a great place to shop. The new manager Brian and assistant manager Ramona has turn this store around by 100%. The store is clean, the shelves are stocked, and the service is wonderful. You are always greeted when you walk in, they go out of their way to help you find what you need and the always have a smile on their face. Even their sales associate Hailey is great. They have worked hard to get this store back in order for us. I want to thank them for their hard work and I hope they stay because we need people like them, employees that really care.

I lost 25 minutes of my time, bc the cashier and manager did not know how to put in a Visa gift card in the Beecher Location. Funny thing is, the mom and pops store down the street did it just fine, with OUT using a manual login, as I was told DG would and could not do. I was supposed to work here, but something did not seem right when I was training. They gave me the wrong name... first and foremost on my first day, and it took close to 20 hours bc the system kept logging out to train. They got rid of all the items I like, so DG doesn't look too good rt now, considering they then told me that if I wanted to pay with my debit card, I would have to wait behind five people with baskets full. 3 people in there knew me and know my work ethic and background in sales/cashier. They just shook their heads and apologized for the cashier and manager. The whole process was very inconvenient and I will never walk into another DG again, and also make sure my friends know about this as well as the many business owners of Beecher I've known since I moved here 24 yrs ago. Also, Please stock your shelfs... the shelves are empty. Thank you for your time and sorry to have to vent, bc this store in Beecher was my very very fave. Store to shop in. I'll find somewhere else that is not DG.
This has occured at Oilton, Oklahoma and Jennings, Oklahoma in the last week. Pepsi advertised at the checkout counter coolers as 2 for $3.50 is charged at $2.00 per bottle. When I ask the clerk they play dumb and say there is nothing that they can do. I suppose a charge of false advertising could made and an ensuing law suit could be won. I'll keep you posted.
Today was the 2nd time I have had this cashier at Dollar General. I live across the street so I am usually there twice a month. The first time I had her she argued with me about my bringing my own bags. Today... she outright told me " Yeah, I'm not doing that", when I put my bag on the bagging carousel. I use these bags because I can wipe them down after every use but NO that's not her job to bag my purchase if I don't want plastic bags! She says all this while standing there without a mask (Or name tag). I had mine on! If she's SO worried about catching something here's an idea... WEAR A MASK, DON'T WORK IN CUSTOMER BASED JOB. I use to enjoy going to Dollar General on a Saturday but lately it's not worth the rude treatment.
