I have ordered from this online site a few times in the past 5 or 5 years with no problem. However I placed an order in March of this year and didn't receive it. I kept checking the site for my delivery to be sent. I could see my order in my account and it had not yet shipped as of 3 weeks later. About 2 months later I was not able to contact customer service on site. I did google and found a phone no. For the
business, I called a a woman who was cold to me told me that ordered had not shipped yet but would soon. Could get no questions answered. I actually forget about the order I placed. I honestly do not remember trying to contact them again until today. I went to the site today and saw my order when I logged in, The site does not have a customer service page to contact them. I again looked up the phone no. And tried to call 2 times in the last 1/2 hour. Only got a recording saying to call back during business hours which were 8 to 6 est. My calls were at 5pm and a few minutes later. I am est. Googled to find another way to reach them. Found a link to chat with dollar general.com. That led to to a page that was a bogus site but had the email link as officially belonging to dollar general. I found a street address for the company. I will be writing tonight a letter stating I want a refund! My bank will be notified also. Order placed in March 2022 and today is Sept. 2022! Hope this is helpful to someone.
My elderly dad purchased a Verizon prepaid card and the card was defective. We if we could return it and the employee refused and told us to call the 1800 #, which there is none. He literally purchased it less than 30 minutes and she refused to reprint another receipt because she didn't give him one to begin with. People don't know how to go the extra mile to help someone out. Verizon company needs to improve the way they make prepaid cards.
I tried twice to order online, liking the reduced prices relative to what I would pay buying off the shelf. Unfortunately, my orders were cancelled at two different locations. My guess is that they did not have all of the products in my order. I don't think they have a good method of keeping up with inventory. Now that I know how much I should be able to save online, I am reluctant to buy in the store. I think they may lose more customers with this service than they will gain.

Since this isn't my first time with this issue, please watch your receipts. I recently purchased sale items on a table that was buy 2 get 1 free. Once I checked out and got to my car the sale was not applied. Since I had to discover this myself I chose to return everything. The next day the initial charge hit my bank account but the credit didn't. When I went back to the store I was told that although the charge processed to my bank immediately the credit takes 3 - 7 business days. So you're out the funds until it gets processed. This is a corporate policy and one that shows no consideration for the customer who may not have the funds. The manager and store owner were very nice and offered to give me a gift card for more than my credit. I wouldn't accept because this is a corporate issue and corporate should be held responsible and called out for their disregard for their customers and their customers money. I've processed credit cards at jobs before and know that generally charges and credits process at the same time. I should not have to wait 3 - 7 days. They need to address this policy as more people struggle to make ends meet.
Dollar General has become a horrible place to shop. I have shopped at 3 of them recently. I have not been charged what the shelf tag said on up to 3 items per receipt on my last 7 trips. Any where from $. 35 to $1.60 over what tag said was charged and depending on manager, I either get a flat "that's what the price is" to a hateful response including one saying it was my fault I didn't know the right price. I know my $80 a week spent doesn't mean anything to Dollar General but if enough of us get fed up, it will hurt them where they apparently care, in the pocket. I won't be back
Always watch when they are scanning your items. Prices are always ringing up wrong and never in your favor. Last night I wasn't paying attention like I usually do and found a 10 item on my reciept rang up at $ 12.35. This has been going on for years. Get it together Dollar G! Also could use a step up in cleanliness. And all the workers at my store usually wreak of cigarette smoke. That being said the workers at my store are usually pretty nice and helpful.
Please work on your weekly ad. It's pretty hard to look at on your phone and pretty hard on a laptop as well. I do love Dollar General though.
What a deplorable company and I'd say the store in California City must be the worst why the big wigs here chose this over Wal-Mart is beyond me. Food already bad, stale, hard charging $ 2.00 more for eggs than Stater bros batteries that last 1-2 hour's vegetables consisting of four different kinds of onions, potatoes. The shelves are always empty literally! And we're told they didn't get to put things out because the trucks got there so late there clover valley brand where everything's main ingredient is sugar. They stopped getting reputable brands to sell that stuff. How can all perishable products be bad when there are at least two warehouses within 40 miles of here? I remember at a town meeting the city council saying "go for low hanging fruit" when discussing towns people and turning down Walmart's offer for these crook's good job to the jerks on both sides as it's the only store around.
About every store I've had to go into is messy and dirty. You're lucky to get greeted when you walk in or get thanked when you leave. Many times while checking out, have to hear the cashier complain of their hours, their pay or how they hate their job. Most common food items bought, are usually out of stock. I'm surprised this franchise has lasted this long! Piss Poor business!

I had an item I needed to return that I purchased with my debit card. Gave the cashier my receipt. She credited the refund back to my debit card. It has been three days, and my refund still shows as processing when I check with my bank. All others stores, refunds are added back to bank balance within minutes to a couple of hours.
