I stopped into the store in richwood,Kentucky, and was very impressed! They were knowledgeable very friendly and the store was stocked well, and very clean. I would like to mention Ariseli, she is a real Gem,and goes above and beyond! She should be recognized and always appreciated.Thank you Ariseli!
I was excited that the rubbing alcohol was $. 01 because it seems I never get those deals so when I scanned them in the app it came up one cent each …. Went up to cashier and he didn't know how to let me cash out through the app with phone number so then he rings it out and " conveniently" the rubbing alcohol wouldn't scan, so not only didn't get the discount but I couldn't even buy them. What a scam.
I work for Dollar general in Illinois, it sucks dollar general is one of the most greedy companies ever. They don't give employees raises, they pay the bare minimum and expect you to kill yourself for the job. And the customers who come in are entitled sacks of $#*! and treat everyone who works there like sub human garbage. Avoid working here if possible trust me. They also will usually have sale things on strips and often said sales have expired months ago yet the people who are supposed to come and reset those don't. $#*!tiest company ever coming from an employee whos been working there for awhile.
I am finally free. I quit DG. There is a feeling of weightlessness and joy. RELIEF. Working at DG is like being in an abusive relationship. It can't get me now
Hillsmere store in Annapolis, never has a full service register. Items are scan at wrong price. The store is dirty and not organized. Why have one self checkout and one cash only? Why not a full service register?
Young clerk with brown hair at 3333 Manchester Road, Akron, OH. Rude, condescending, and combative. Instead of giving me my cancelled receipt she called a sheriff to remove and bar me from the store. Not the kind of store to spend money in.
The following has happened to me too many times: You see the advertised price of items on shelf. You like the price, you pick the items to buy. Guess what then happens at the register. If you're not paying attention as I suspect most consumers are not, the register reflects a different, albeit higher price of the item. Dollar Generals excuse? (Lie) The workers haven't got to that item to change the price. That's b. S. and DG knows it. So people what the price they ring up after you have just scoped the advertised shelf price. DG stores are true ripoffs! A battle I endure everytime I go in their stores. I enjoy the challenge. They don't rip me off.
Went to the Dollar General on army post road Des Moines Iowa it was the worst customer service I have ever had. I will never shop here again and the store is a total mess. And when you talk to upper management it seems like they don't really care. Will not be back.
My overall shopping experience is always exceptional. Keyondra was my cashier today. She is always extremely pleasant and very helpful. Rick the store manager goes above and beyond for the customers in the store is very clean. Within 10 mi of my house there are at least five stores and this is the best one yet! Isles are always clear, store is very clean. Becky is another cashier that is very nice as well. I have yet to have a bad experience at this particular Dollar general.
The new milk Prairie farms sucks so bad and is just gross. I got a gallon of it and it says 10-9 expiration date and its only the 4th and it's totally rotten. The time before I smelled like garlic. Just over all it is nasty
It should be illegal for Dollar General to have only "1" person working in a store at a time. Today, I witnessed a worker fall off of a ladder. There were 3 of us in there to assist her. Had we not been there she would have been in the store on her own with no help. One can only imagine what could have happened.
If i worked there i would sue them for all they are worth. They, of course don't pay her enough for insurance. I wanted to call EMS, but she declined, probably because of no insurance. I would have called EMS if I had worked there and sued for injury and other costs. Someone needs to complain to the labor relations board and make them have more than one person in these stores. All of their stores have only one person working there. That one person is expected to run the register and stock the goods with no one else to help. She was putting goods on the shelf and had to leave in order to check us out. This is when she fell.
This happened in Danville, VA.
I frequently shop at the DG in Wedowee ( the one next to Jacks). It has always been a positive experience to shop there. Patricia is a wonderful and cheerful cashier that is eager to please. She is sunshine on a rainy day.
Not sure why the store at OakCircle Drive in Knoxville, TN is becoming neglected. The store hasn't been well maintained now for about 4 years. It has declined in staffing, cleanliness, organization and item availability. Went in for sugar…none on the shelves but lots of carts everywhere that need to be put on shelves. It's a great location…but doesn't help when the store is in the shape it is. Disappointed…I use to enjoy going in but now it stresses me out.
Why doesn't Dollar general sale crotchet or knitting yarn in there craft area, they did in the past. Why not now since so many are being built?
They don't have very good customer service and my family and I had to go back in because we forgot some stuff for lunch the next day and the woman working there…(unfortunately looked like the only person) came up to us in the aisle and was very rude and told us she would not be checking us out again and that we needed to get out of the store. Wouldn't recommend going there if I were you.
I was in dg and a lady in front of me was crying because she had been served divorce papers and the manager at ******* actually pulled her outside hugged her and prayed for her. I have never seen customer service to the point that it goes beyond work but genuinely caring about the customer. I have told everyone I know that you guys are hiring better people than before. Seeing that and how she talks to everyone that walks in and keeps a smile on her face I like it. I truly thought when I first met her she was gone be like most of them but she isn't so welcome and thanks Tywanna the store and looks so much better and so is the service.
Dollar General is an Akron's awesome store, relatively cheap and easily accessible. The only problem I have which could easily be rectified is the meat selection, they have a nice vegetation aisle but to go along with that you should also add more of steak, chicken, and hamburger meat style selection.
The pot holes in Dollar general parking lot in elmira ny BROKE the control arm on my vehicle in the first week of August! I was told MULTIPLE TIMES the owner of store would be fixing my car only HE STILL HASN'T CALLED OR ANSWERED ANY OF MY EMAILS! I've been told by MANY of his employees and former employees that my vehicle hasn't been the only one damaged by this. But he has time enough on August 19th to employ people to quickly come fill those pot holes (have it all on video) but still hasn't called! I have been without a vehicle since August 4th!
9/14/22 arrived at store, no milk in cooler, pallet of milk sitting on floor. I shopped, went to check out, manager and assistant manager sitting on the floor behind cashier (guy), I said & pointed the direction of milk, "I would like a gallon of milk". Guy ignores me after turning and looking at them on floor, rings all my stuff up (Over $100) and I said I still need a gallon of milk. Women on floor argue with me saying no milk is over there, I said yes it is. They jump up, get attitudes, start slamming papers down on counter. I said that's why I told you at the beginning so it could be done while ringing me up, they said nothing. The manager runs in the office, I asked the guy to go get her and he says, "I don't have to" I said you don't wanna keep your job either. Then Casey, assistant manager, tells me if I don't like how they do things, I can go to Walmart. I said, oh, I will. Manager never came back out and I called and reported incident to cooperate. Got call back from district manager and she was very upset by their actions. I told her I will not spend another dime in there while those 3 are employed there. I'm done
Answer: Most of it comes down to the iron fisted payroll. Like 40 asm hours for 2 full time employees. How do you give your asm 20 hours and call that ft!
Answer: It may be because your location is running out of business or stock on the water, and I still haven't found out on the coupons myself
Answer: Download the DG app. Sign up with your phone number and add coupons to your account. When you check out in store there is a dg coupon button on the pinpad screen. Click the button and put your phone number in.
