Directv will probably kill itself off soon. Their customer service is garbage, the tv and internet goes out when the wind blows, and they are hurting so much for money that they are holding a $140 check hostage because they decided to be lazy and not put our business name on our refund check! Instead, they put a name with a number on the end - not even our correct business name! What a disgusting company! Good luck to the employees that will undoubtedly looking for jobs real soon!
HD picture is no better via satellite upgrade. Cost went up. Quality went down due to a black/gray horizontal Genie bar cutting off the top part of the screen. So, I am paying more for less picture. Often heads of people or words on screen are blocked. Bad! & no fix.
Had direct tv for years. Cancelled due to continued increase cost and every time it rained - no TV. Over paid final bill by $77. Called for refund on 10/13/22 was told it would take awhile, it's now 11/24/22 still no refund. They have no idea how to treat customers - a lot of lip service. BEWARE!
I have been with DirecTV for several years and they are always working toward improving the ease of using their website, making live person assistance available to customers. I love their service. Bad weather rarely interferes with the signal, service is almost never interrupted and ordering movies from them is easy. I ESP am glad they have a few safety features in place to keep us from accidentally ordering extra movies, etc.
Had an appointment to relocate my dish. The first appointment they sent out a contractor with a piss poor attitude which nearly ended in a fight and nothing accomplished. The second day they sent out a Direct tv employee. The technician (Juan C) was smiling and helpful. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied and went above and beyond to accomplish that. It actually reminded me of what service once looked like. Thank you Juan!
Bill was increasing every month without any updates or adds to my account, 31.00 increase in 2 months. At the end of every year this happens sometimes sooner they indicate at the end of the current promo. I explained to the service agent, Lena agent #EN633N I have been a loyal 10 year customer have not added to my account and just want the same service without the drastic increases without warning. She was very professional and told me to in the future call approx. 2 weeks prior to promo ending so I can be switched to the current promo. She was able to get my bill down to a reasonable amount, without the usual excuse. Thank you Lena!
Long time customer finally had enough! Prices ridiculous. CEO could care less about the elderly. Had basic plan and internet went from 124 a month to 174 a month. Done, I'll save 1500 a year which is great for me on fixed income. Seniors should have a discount especially after being a long time customer. Plus the cancellation of newsmax and oan mad me mad. Tired of corporations forgetting how they got where they are! Adios direct tv! I'm out!
In the last year I have lost 4 channels of which two were major channels and my monthly payment has not changed. Also I lost access to the NFL Package. Service is really going downhill. I will definitely be looking into Dish or local cable network
I call every 3 weeks and am told the same thing. So sorry the prior agent did everything right. It's the credit department who has to send the refund. I ask to speak with a supervisor and am told the customer service center supervisor is not taking calls from the customers! Hmmm…what does the supervisor do? I think they just hope I and other customers will just forget about our credit balances and go away…I always thought AT&T was the worst telecommunications company ever. Direct TV has them beat. Next step I plan to file a complaint with our state attorney general. And keep calling. I won't give up on getting the credit they owe me.

If I could give negative stars I would. They neglect to tell you a huge amount of details. While there is no contract we just cancelled our service and they will not refund any money. They also do not take back their equipment and charge you for it after you cancel. We cancelled because of constant channel freezing, shutting down, lagging or simply not working at all Do.not get DirecTV. Not worth the money or frustration.
Directv is overpriced, has bad customer service and is UnAmerican because it censors free speech and truth. I was blocked from it's blog for stating truth. Directv is censoring content because they have become pure propagandists who only want to put programs who lie to it's customers instead of those who tell the truth. Directv is no better than those who ban books they do not like. I will be utilizing my freedom of choice against this Un American company by dumping them like a rock and going to free, fair, less expensive streaming services.
Dropping One American news just because they don't fit into your communistic narrative is disgusting. People don't care about your political affiliations. They pay for a service that they want. I hope you go bankrupt.

We were moving to a new home in same city. Called to get service moved. They rep said they didn't offer same satellite service at my new address. That we had to have Streaming…then the nightmare and double the monthly bill now because I no longer qualify for my promotion I had this year. What?!? Really?!? For their employee making this mistake costs a loyal customer money every month! Wow…after hours of frustration and phone calls, I'm going to be searching for a new provider
Got there service in November 2022 and was promised a reward card well it's now in July 23 2023 and still waiting for that reward card. They have no intention of ever sending those cards out just to get you to sign up and they receive that money each month. They can cash those checks but no way they are going to hold there side of the contract. So if you are like me I will be looking for another company for tv.

Horrific... the people from a foreign country use 'filler words' to extend the conversation by at least two times the necessary time on the phone. I have come to tell these people gently... please stop using extra words... please do your job quickly and efficiently because my time is valuable. At least this stops the chatter in my ear... they can not move quickly... period and service other calls while they put you on hold for five minutes at a time. And, if you ask to speak to a supervisor, you'll get no one but a false promise that a supervisor will call within 30 minutes. If you get a bad rep on the phone, ask to be transferred to someone different because you can't understand them. I will never use this company for anything... ever again. AT&T is now DirecTV... done with both. And if you get SETH on the phone, get ANYONE else but him to help you. I am copying and pasting this review to any site that will take it. They don't send reviews after calls -- they don't care about customer service... period... know that before you waste your time and money.
I've been on the phone with Directv customer service for hours this week. Unbelievably bad. Problem with streaming on nba league pass. Spoke with one person at Directv who said it was a known issue but when he transferred me to someone else to fix it, they didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
My father had directtv through At&t. He passed away on 09/7/23. I have been dealing with his funeral arrangements so I had no had an opportunity to cancel his services. I called today, 10/4/23, to cancel and they are still charging for service up until 09/28/23 even though the billing cycle ends on the 09/21/23. Ann who assisted me was so compassionate and tried her best to have them back date a little more but her supervisors refused. We didn't have money for his funeral services but are expected to pay $425 for a service that has not been use since 09/7/23. I was thinking about getting Directtv since I have AT&T but I definitely will never considered them after this and will definitely ensure others are aware of their lack of empathy.
Worst customer service in the universe. 4 different people to get to the "decision maker". $20 compensation for losing the channels we watch 40% of the time. F… them. I am not paying the last bill and will go to court to defend these Nazi's. Arrogant, unfair, etc. And by the way, the package includes bay tv which I don't watch and consider a perversion but they make me pay for that trash. Suck me direct tv.
Company has been declining exponentially the last few years...With all the optional streaming competition, they should be more proactive to keep customers...Looks like they are going to follow Blockbuster and Yellowpages into oblivion...If you are employed by them, you might update your resume...
Rude customer service. My bill was supposed to be $107.00 a month and was always $70.00 more the. That! Would spend hours on the phone with them to find out they screwed up! Do your self a favor and AVOID this cable company!

Answer: It is a scam 100%. Just read the reviews. You don't realize it until they got your money and you need something! They are holding peoples money from them that doesn't belong to them. They may even tell you you'll get it back. Just keep waiting, you wont. Then you have to call back and go through the entire process again. I'm on 6 weeks now/Overdraft fees/No Thanksgiving/ and I have photo proof I cancelled 2 days before my free trial was up. They just didn't want me to cancel! Lol. They do things different here. You have been WARNED my friends!
