Received two packages today delivered by DHL. Would never recommend hiring their services if you like the safety of your package. The person that delivered the packages to my door step today literally dropped it to the ground in front of me. I said that wasn't very nice to drop it like that on concrete and if anything in the box is damaged now and she didn't care, just started arguing. The delivery required a signature and she didn't even bother to get a signature. Very incompetent people providing service who don't give a care for anything.
Bought something online and the seller sent it with DHL. After being given a delivery slot and having received a notification email that my parcel was on route nobody showed up to deliver it. The tracking page said they could't locate my address which is ridiculous since my house is on a main road and the from door had a clearly visible, large number on it.
The following day I received another email notification claiming my parcel would be delivered in the next 15 minutes, to ensure the driver doesn't miss me again I sat in front of my house reading a book while waiting for an hour, nobody showed up.
I was home all day on both days and delivery was never attempted. Horrible "service".
Don't rely on them if you live in a gated community. They won't even attempt to contact you by phone or follow simple direction to get into your complex if they don't call you directly. Just pick up from a drop off center. Screw this backward non competent service.
This company it literally missed up its my 3rd time that I'm not receiving my packages at all and the customer service department is not being helpful and responsible for anything they can't even solve a single problem of third customers it will be my last time ordering from this stealer company!
I had to deal with them through Amazon and it never actually made it to Canada. It got held up at customs and then was set back to the sender. Terrible company. Had to buy the same item from in my own country, for more money. Time and money wasted, thanks to the incompetence of DHL.
I ordered a package that had $500 worth of product inside so when constantly asked if I wanted no contact delivery I said no because at the end of the no contact delivery you have to check a box that at that point they are not liable for losing the package. So I waited at home and saw through my doorbell camera very clearly that no one came to my door. There was not even an attempt delivery note like they say they hand out. I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor, there are no gates or anything blocking them from delivering and my address was correct. I've had this happen before with this company but I genuinely suspect the driver was truly just too lazy to try and deliver the package. Probably saw the stairs and thought they could make their job easier by saying I was not there. It feels like once they mark someone as "not home" it falls off their list of responsibilities so they can be done quicker. This has happened on multiple occasions and it is truly extremely annoying.
As usual, my package was not delivered. No doorbell, no note, no nothing. Asked the neighbours whose apartment window faces the street and who live right next to the outside doors if they saw a DHL van. They tell me no. I've lived in the Netherlands for four years, and not even once my package with DHL has been delivered. It is already a running gag between my partner and me- if we see that something ought to be delivered with DHL, we can be 100% sure it won't. And yet again, I was right!
First time no one shown up and on the web they put that delivery has been attempted by driver- not a true!
They set delivery for next day and before delivery time they have just changed for another day.
Automated system won't let you talk to anyone. The number on their website is useless. The 0844 is for dhl express and they just tell you its different company and has nothing to do with dhl parcel.
I will make complain to the supplier who is sending me an item to think about changing delivery company.
Daughter ordered a $40 dress. Shipping from New Zealand was $43.00. Then DHL charges another $40 for customs brokerage. I know that all courier companies are the same and I never buy anything from online sellers that don't ship via regular post. However, daughter doesn't know the ins and outs.
Bottom line, never, ever buy anything from anyone who uses DHL. There is no way customs brokerage fees for a $40 item should be anywhere near $40. Total rip off.
Customer service is horrible. My shipment has been stuck-locally-for over a week. No attempt by them to reach me by phone, and then they blame their contract workers. Web site is poor and trying to get answers is hard. Stay away!
My parcel was signed for and said it was delivered. This was not the case. It's a small office building with a reception desk, there hasn't even been a DHL van anywhere near our building today, let alone anyone delivering a package. This isn't even the first time I had issues with them, half the time they say "we missed you", well how about actually visiting the address first? If they did, there would have been people here that can accept the package. But in this case, they just signed for the package 3 minutes before the end of the delivery window. Now I don't have my package and I have a problem.
Thank you Dhl today is the wedding and I won't be able to wear the dress, because is still placed on hold in Cincinnati hub! Since 07/20 been calling every day and what I receiving is generics response! According to them they send an email to the Dhl custom and they haven't respond back! Are you kidding me! How you will placed a package on hold from more than 10 days and won't be able to locate! I asked for a corporate number and is the same number as the regular over the seas ( Costa Rica customer service! And they don't know anything! Horrible experience, I ended up buying a dress on eBay!
I can't believe this company is still in business. Anytime I've ever had something shipped to me via DHL, the actual delivery time was weeks beyond the estimated delivery dates and that is only when I actually received my packages. Half the time my stuff got lost in shipping only to spend a month of getting the runaround between DHL and the company that used them as the carrier to ship my items. This outfit needs to pull the plug and call it quits. They can't get anything right. I would rate them negative stars if I could.
I was informed that I was not home, and therefore I did not receive the delivery. I am working from home. This is a big lie. Nothing is solved, no idea where my package is and then the customer service representative is telling me "To assist another customer who has been waiting, I need to close our chat conversation as we have provided with the available information on our end. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any other questions, please log back in to the DHL Canada chat service. Thank you for using DHL's Services. Goodbye, and have a nice day."
How great is that? Super unprofessional service as many other delivery services. Very frustrating for customers.

Sending my items which cost around 80 euros.
Paid 160 euros courier charge but still they took 98 euros from receiver in the name of customs.
If we need to pay in every customs why they didnt inform us before. Why this $#*!ing company taking 160 euro delivery charge!
Totally scam.
First they tried to deliver my package to the wrong post office, 132 miles away from my town. Then they will not even answer my questions about where it currently is. Last shown in the city I work in, like I can just pick it up if I could talk to someone and if they would let me... I mean apparently it is difficult to deliver a package...
Worst shipping company. Complete incompetence. Professional time wasters. My package that I paid for door to door service has still not been delivered and it's over a week late. No delivery notice left at my address. A dozen phone calls made to dhl customer service and the issue has still not been resolved. Nothing but excuses and a total lack of any concern for the garbage service provided by any of the employees of this company. Save yourself the headaches and go with fedex. A police report has been filed for theft.
Never once have they delivered on delivery date that they send emails to showing what day your package is coming. When your call they add in bla bla bla is there anything else i can help you with. Well you haven't helped me with anything so you should not ask if there is anything ELSE! Pay a real company instead of using DHL. I will nit purchase another item if they use DHL for shipping. They are absolutely terrible.
Delivery driver lied said they delivered package never even came in my complex. Called customer service they said they were sending driver back before the last route at 8.9 pm comes no package. Called customer service spoke to four different people they all lied and gave different info. I run a business and had to miss out on items customers requested because of a drivers lack of integrity and true customer service. I will avoid this company and stick UPS. Never again horrible!
Address delivery never works. They notify you by email a day before delivery, then the courier calls once, and if you missed that call, they send it back, even if you call back... the worse delivery company I know.
And I have had the same experience with DHL in several European countries. Not even once they delivered a parcel to my address, the only working option is the pickup point.

Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around £25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
