Quite a few months ago I purchased a dragon kite from DH Gate. It never showed up and because it was only $21, I chalked it up as a loss and didn't think too much about it. Today I received a small package from China, much smaller than a kite, and in it were five pieces of cardboard, yes cardboard, which cost $20 to ship. So they spent my money on sending me cardboard. This is as absurd as it is unethical. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. Please be smart and do not do business with DH Gate. China is known for its unethical business practices.
I was double charged in September and have been trying to get it refunded for 4 months not with no one from customer service replying. It was $450 AUD so a lot of money. I will now be reporting them to my bank. I would not purchase through them.

My first time trying to buy from dhgate they told me that my card threw a charge back. Then they asked me to send them my card details to remove the restriction they put against me for the charge back. I then contact them and they ask for a letter from my bank. Then, after I did all of this and wasted two months trying to be verified these jerks tell me that their "Safety Center" tells me that I can no longer buy from them which makes no sense because I have use my card everywhere with no problems and my bank even said there was no charge or charge back. The customer service including Bob whom I spoke to are very unprofessional and treat customers like they're no one and refuse business for absolutely no purpose. I would not buy from them because they allow predatory sellers on dhgate even though they deny certain buyers. Dhgate is very unprofessional and does not care about the customer and it really shows.

Bought a necklace from one of their sellers. Paid by debit card. Got the wrong item. Seller refused to refund me. Customer service intervened and allowed me refund once seller receives item. Returned the item via registered mail. Contacted DHgate Customer Service after 4 months with no refund issued, who replied with the following:
"This is Shirley, the manager of Customer Service and I'm glad to receive your message.
I did the complete research for your case *******465 but I have to inform you that your case can't be handled anymore according to DHgate Dipsute Policy.
I totally understand your feelings as a customer and I wish there were more I could do for you but there isn't because we've already done everything in our power.

I have purchased items from many sites in china the overall difference with DHGate is not only the huge range of products and sellers to choose from.
But the fact that they are there with you every step of the way with customer support, holding funds until orders are delivered and accepted by the customer, offering guarentees ect gives you the confidence to buy knowing you will get what you ordered or it free.
I used to use Amazon and Ebay only. I circled around DHGate and ordered from the other site Aliexpress only once. I have a good eye for trends and want to start my own business someday. I can't afford alot and I make jewelry so I really shop around. DHGate has some of the best prices out there without having to buy wholesale or drop ship. You just have to look and read the reviews of the seller. For the price its like everywhere 4 out of 5 are excellent. Also DHGate has the best customer service. I totally trust buying there. They are my favorite site for everything.

DHgate has a very efficient/effective customer service and quality control model. Although some sellers may have language barriers or vague descriptions of products and often unjustified claims of shipping times; both buyer and seller are protected within this model. I have made many purchases on DHgate and with their model both the seller and myself have always come to an agreement. I've never had a problem with product description, delivery timing, pricing, or the quality of the products which i have purchased.
HOWEVER, I would like the sellers to keep the communication going with me about the products I buy, if i ask!
(ie:- Asking a sellers advice or tips on how to properly wash & care for a wig... I still havent had a reply 5 weeks later)
I am prompt and efficiant in buying and paying these "sellers" as I am being a good reliable customer. I would expect the same respect and manners in return.

It's a scam! Stay away! I ordered diapers. They sent a real package, with a real tracking number, but then they called UPS, pretending to be Toys R Us, and had the package held back at their loading dock. I never got my package. Basically, i paid for someone else to ship something. Scam Scam SCAM!
I ordered a product that I liked. Others liked it so I placed another order of the same item. They sent a variation of the order that clearly doesn't look the same. I have been going back a forth with the seller for almost a month now with no avail. They do not want to send the proper item ordered. I ordered 60 of the item. They have just now tried to negotiate sending me 45. What am I supposed to tell the other 15 people who ordered.

I ordered my wedding dress in March and just received it. It looks NOTHING like as described! Looks cheap and horrible! So disappointing that I paid this much for it! I have written to DHgate several times and instead of them addressing my concerns all they do is continuously send me the same form letter over and over. In other words they are not going to do a thing for me. I guess stealing is a practice that they feel they can do without any penalties.

This is what I am sending to the Federal Trade Commission since you refuse to give me a refund To whom it may concern at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), On October 8th 2017 I purchased a pair of sneakers size 13 (New Max 2016 II) from a company called DHgate. One of their sellers that is a contractor for DHgate named Tebe sold me a the sneaker and when I received the merchandise the size was wrong it was a size 12.5 instead of a 13. As instructed by the company and the seller I have sent back the merchandise for a full refund for the cost of the shoes ($57.99) and cost of the shipping ($33.75) I have tried endlessly to contact the seller at the advice of DHgate and he has not returned any of my emails and the company refuses to do anything, even though this person works for the company. Attached you will see proof of all evidence that I have stated. Thank you for any consideration and help you can give me.
DhGate is great. There are quite a few sketchy sellers and a few flaws with how they run things. (example: sellers can receive Your order for an item they don't even have in stock then cancel it to show that they have another order. But, since they cancel it You cannot leave a review for this.)
Just received my very first purchase from a Seller on DHgate and despite my initial hesitations I must say it was a very pleasant shopping experience. Signing up for an account was very easy, navigating the site just as easy and the amount of items offered is incredible.
Buying and making payment was smooth and I like how DHgate makes it simple to communicate with Sellers before, during and after purchases. DHgate takes care of you with really good follow-up communications and they have a very good system in place to help ensure you get what you pay for - they only release your payment to the Seller (escrow) when you receive and inform then you are happy with your item!
As DHgate is only a shopping platform with thousands of Sellers, it pays to do some research on the Sellers you're buying from, ask questions and compare carefully. And if you do that, you will have a great shopping experience just like I did. WIll definitely be buying more from DHgate!

I am an artist and I tried contacting them because I saw that some of my artwork being sold through DHGate. I work very hard to create my artwork and to have someone steal it and sell it is really disturbing and taking money out of my pockets. Their answer was for me to contact the seller which of course did nothing because the seller won't respond. I have had this same issue with ebay and Amazon but they asked me to provide the information and will look into it. DHGate couldn't be bothered.
This online website is really bad service. If you buy stuff from here and ask for refund, there's no hope. They will never refund your money. Another thing is, they don't do what they promised.
