It is impossible to reach their customer service, they make you wait and wait and wait on the phone for hours, they do have a service where you can leave a call-back number to be reached later, but it's very easy to miss that call. Overall, this company provides zero customer service. They don't have an email address for their customer service either! I will not go back to shop here.

STAY AWAY from CYMAX!

This company is completely corrupt, they take your money immediately then tell you your item has shipped. Weeks later after NO activity on the tracking, you cannot reach them by phone - EVER! Their phone recording says the wait time exceeds their standards and hangsup on you! Their email contact to Customer Service is no better, canned responses, absolutely horrible! Trying to cancel etc., and get your refund is a very long nightmare. NEVER doing business with them again!

Lousy!

Lousy! I ordered an item. Called the next day to cancel. Trying to reach a live customer service person is challenging. When I did reach customer service, she told me she put a cancellation on the order, could not give me a cancellation number but that I would receive an email confirmation within 1 to 2 days. 3 days later I called and they said the order had already shipped. They now tell me I will receive another email with Return information. I can return the product at my cost to ship it and pay a restocking fee (based on what the manufacturer decides) of 15-40% of the cost of the item! These guys don't even manufacture the product they are basically middlemen. I would not order from these guys again. Bad policies. Try to find a place with a more reputable name.

Bad customer service

Do not buy from them! They will not allow returns. I bought a wool rug through Walmart.com, thinking I could return it to Walmart. No so. The rug came from Cymax and I cannot return it without the original packaging and payment of return shipping charges. Shame on Walmart for using this third party seller.

Poor customer service
February 2, 2018

Ordered a piece of Magnussen furniture back in December. Received first with a large hole in the back. Sent another only to have damage in the same place. Apparently the shipping company does not have experience using thier equipment. It looks as if a fork from the lift went right through the back of it. They put some tape on it and tried to drop it my garage anyway. Customer service for these issues are by email only. Horrible way to do business because your at their disposal. Then they send an email asking if I would like a new unit or a discount on the damaged one. I have to explain that I don't have the damaged unit as it was refused at delivery. Second it doesn't appear you can replace it with another unit because my account is showing discontinued. They were unaware and it took them a week to figure it out even though my account with them showed this status. I now have 3000. 00 invested and a suite that is incomplete. Thanks for nothing Cymax. Never again.

I ordered a 4-seat tall dining table through Amazon. They failed to deliver and returned only a portion of the money paid saying they were not able to reach me for delivery. They have all my contact info i. E. cell phone, email. They can call, text, email or ring the doorbell, but they did not.
Then, they emailed me the refund notice saying they are billing me for the delivery fee.
I had to fight through Amazon to get the balance.
I would avoid this vendor due to fishy business practice.

Good experience

I can't speak for everyone else, but after reading the reviews I was a little nervous about my purchase. I ordered an L-shaped desk for one of my offices. They called me a week before to find out if it was a walk up or where to park the truck. They called 2 days before to tell me they would be there on Friday. About the only problem was that they came in at 4:30 on Friday, but I did tell them 8 to 5. The assembly was done by them. I was very pleased with their communication and the entire experience. If they once had a bad reputation, that wasn't my experience at all.

This has been by far the most frustrating experience. I will never try to buy from this store again. I placed an order form a partner website (Discount Bandit), Cymax accepted om 6/17/20. I did not hear from the store neither was charged. Not having any support and in need for the dresser, I decided to buy another dresser directly in their e-commerce platform. This time I got a confirmation and was charged right away. The next day they decided to ship me both order and charged on both. I contacted them right away, less than 24 hours of buying to cancel and 3 working days later they said they couldn't cancel as it had been shipped already but they would give 10% in one of the orders to keep both! This has been a nightmare, I am so frustrated and disappointed that I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this. Make yourself a favor and buy somewhere else for a few dollars more and way better customer service!

Great experience

I'm sorry that everyone had such bad experiences with this company. I was on here looking for reviews on another company and saw this and felt compelled to share my experience. I ordered a ton of furniture for my children's rooms that was very high-end. There was some flaws when it arrived and although it was extremely difficult to get through to the company on the phone. After many calls and a very long holds they definitely and thoroughly took care of the problems. They were generous and kind.

Hit my credit card a month ago and won't ship item. Told me 3 weeks ago item should ship within 2 weeks. I finally canceled order. I think they just want to use my money interest free with no intention of delivering product. I don't know how long it will take to refund money but I expect delays there too.

Ordered reclining loveseat 1/22/2019. Paid for White Glove Service. Single driver arrived with it over a month later and stated they don't do white glove; door only. I sent it back and said I need it white gloved as I needed it delivered to a downstairs room. During this time I sent 16 emails to cymax trying to track shipment. The last email back was on 3/6/2020 Cymax said they would request refund from manufacturer. It's 3/15/2020 and no further word.

Amazon should not allow Cymax on their site. I ordered a product off Amazon but now find out I won't be getting the product I paid for because it is Cymax and all they do is steal people's money.

Worse company ever

I don't even know where to start. Bought a table 6 weeks ago and half of it still is in NC and the other half in California. Tried cancelling the order after they failed to deliver it and the nerve to tell me they have to process it as a return and pay for delivery fees and to ship it back. Are you kidding me?! Good luck trying to get a hold of them on the phone, only way I could is by pressing the button to make a purchase... 2 hours on the phone! For nothing! I am fuming this people are scammers and should not be allowed to sell.

Horrible service

I bought a three piece dresser set w/mirror through their Amazon store. I paid over $300 for it and so far I have only received the mirror. I checked my order status online and it shows that everything has been delivered when it hasn't! I emailed them three times (the only contact info provided) asking for a tracking number(s) for the other two products included in the set. They have yet to respond. Its been nearly 4 weeks and I paud for two-day shipping.

I ordered a console table. When it arrived, it had dimensions different from what was listed on the website.

I needed to return it, but Cymax said I would have to pay of restocking fee of over $100(!) and all the postage to return it. It's Cymax's responsibility to provide a correct description.

Ordered curtains. The package came but with no information, just the curtains. Once I had a chance to try them out for my elderly mother it was a few weeks after they arrived. It took me awhile longer to find the site where I had ordered them because as I said there was no information in the package. It then said I had to email to get a return number, but my response was that it was past the 30 days they say they allow for returns and they can do nothing. So now I am stuck with ugly curtains that did not fit.

Think twice...

Bought a gift from this company. As it turns out, it would have been a duplicate. Tried to return it.
This is where it gets ridiculous:
I was charged $9.50 for the "free shipping" they gave me to send the item.
They charged me another $7.00 as a restocking fee.
It took nearly two weeks to get an RMA.
Then I had to pay for return shipping which was $4.50... a far cry from the $9.50 they charged me for the initial "free shipping".
The item cost me just under $30 at time of purchase. After all is said and done, I would have gotten less than $10 dollars back. I gave the item to a halfway house.
There are far better companies out there to do business with. As for Cymax, it was my first purchase and my last.

Thankfully, I have ordered items though eBay or Amazon, so I have never been charged for the items in questions. Every time though I have never received tracking information or a response from them directly. It takes Amazon to contact them or eBay, then mysteriously the item is no longer in stock and has been discontinued. As an apology here is 10% off an order, in other words we can't get it for that price so sorry. I have then been able to order the item from elsewhere. Imagine that, I would never deal with them directly always go through Amazon market place or eBay,

Horrible!

I REGRET purchasing from Cymax! Horrible customer service! Unprofessional to say the least. Hung up on, left on hold for unreasonable amounts of time. Not only that 4 weeks to "ship"? Oh you forgot about the the other 3 weeks for delivery, because the shipping company utilised is even worse than Cymax! Week after week the same story, the shipping company will contact you today schedule for delivery. Ya right! Don't wait for that call, because your not getting a call back. The estimated delivery time on the web site is for when your items will arrive in some warehouse 400 miles from you and another week for them to get off their $#*! to get the merchandise to you! What a scam! I will be sure to make posts to stay away from Cymax and Non stop delivery! Non stop delivery to Uranus and back!

Stay away!

I was been mislead to purchase a sofa-bed with so-called "free shipping"- "basic home delivery". I live in a building so Basic Home Delivery means (for them) to drop off the sofa in the lobby! Yes, a sofa in the lobby and I will find a way somehow to get it upstairs, as if we are talking about a book here...
When their terrible, trashy third company delivery company tried to make an attempt to deliver, I was told that to take it upstair in my building (in the elevator) will coast me additional $400! This is not only rude but such a scam!
Because I "refused" delivery, I was told that my money will be refunded back for the undelivered item, BUT a re-stocking fee of $137.50 and a Return Shipping fee of $143.52 will be deducted!
I can't express my anger and disgust! Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else.
