Deception

Cymax advertising an item that is non existing, cymax took my order and money anyway, item was never delivered, I had to ask for a refund. Don't waist you time with Cymax which hides behind other company names.

I ordered a bed and it was false advertised.

Regardless of that little annoyance, they are charging me a 20% "restocking fee" on my purchase which was not even opened besides one box (out of 4) where I found that it was not what I was expecting. On top of that 20% fee I am expected to pay return shipping. Out of my $500 purchase, I will probably only receive $300 (MAYBE) back. I'll go to a more trusted business.

We bought a queen sleeper sofa that has leather in its title but is actually not leather. Sofa is mediocre. We bought sofa more than 6 weeks ago. Sofa was delivered broken, and finally replaced after 5 attempted and failed deliveries. Delivery service described as white glove bronze gets sofa to curb, not to your house and not in your house. Before sofa was delivered, price dropped. Cymax will not give you the lower price. Don't buy from this company.

HORRIBLE

I ordered furniture from Cymax and it arrived defective (not damaged in shipping). After many emails, I had to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee. Leaving me with half of my $709. Quite a great scam on their part.

Cymax is Garbage

I ordered a couch through Cymax with estimated delivery being only two weeks away it seemed like a good deal. Fast forward a month and I still have no couch. There is no way to contact them other than email. They respond with vague responses that do not solve anything. I've been on and off the phone with Metropolitan who handles their shipping and that has been a disaster in itself. Overall this has been a terrible experience and I encourage no one to buy from this company. Cymax is an absolute disgrace.

CYMAX - HORRIBLE

Wish I had read reviews first - they are all clearly bad experiences across the Board.
How are they still doing business in this market?
I'll stick with Amazon and Overstock!
Bought a mirror that needed returning and they charged 1/2 cost of mirror in return fees- PLUS shipping - highway robbery - who does that? What kind of customer service company does that?
Disgusting.

Poorly Designed Merchandise
September 12, 2018

I ordered an Atlantic Nantucket coffee table through Cymax. It was extremely poorly designed. The dowels did not fit one of the holes and splintered the wood of the side panel when tightened. Unfortunately, once assembled, products can't be returned. I'm stuck with a damaged coffee table.

Stay away!

I ordered a dresser off Amazon not knowing it was this company, a third party shipper. Never received the dresser due to the warehouse delivery hours and inconsistencies with trying to arrange a delivery. Cymax said I refused or decided to return the package and I'm responsible for return and restocking fees which is over $200. Claims have been filed with Amazon. Stay away from this shipper. No wonder they stay in business, you never get it but they still make money off of you! Amazon needs to remove them all together!

Shady Company!

I bought a patio from this outfit. They gave a false description of a small patio table I ordered. I requested return instructions for the item via my order page. When I didn't hear from them, I contacted Amazon Pay as I had used Amazon as my payment source. Cymax has charged me an $18 restocking fee, $10 delivery charge, and I had to pay $43 for return postage on a $99 table. Very sleazy company selling cheap junk that they no doubt get for free!

Stay Away
November 16, 2015

I have purchased a number of things from this company through their store on eBay. My most recent order was a patio dining table set that came missing one small part. I have had nothing but brain damage trying to get the small part sent to me. Customer Service is inept. All I can say to shoppers on eBay that are considering buying something from them is to stay away!

Curio cabinet

Just don't order from them... period. Ordered a curio cabinet, there's seems to be a lot of problem. They don't respond! I have been waiting for 7 weeks now and there's no sign of delivering the item.

Even though Cymax is located in Burnaby, B. C. Canada, and says free delivery...
Watch-out for a whack of extra charges at checkout time. Shipping fees and duties make the item cost double. Cymax is a scam

Never again!

I ordered patio furniture for my pool area from Cymax on 6/14, received an email from them that it shipped on 6/16. After the tracking number did not work and no other communication I had to make numerous calls to them, the delivery company, freight companies and finally the furniture manufacturer only to find out my order has been sitting in a warehouse in CA since 6/26 waiting to be picked up. It is now 7/20 and I have yet to receive any correspondence with a new tracking number or any hope that my furniture will be delivered before the New England summer is over. I will never order from this company again, the customer has to do all the work! They had no problem charging my credit card $4000 immediately but have been in no rush to get me my order.

I failed to read this website before ordering from cymax and trusted other website that has good reviews. This is the worst company I have shopped online.
I ordered a furniture and wen it was arrived the furniture was significantly damaged, it's very visible. I claimed it via their website the day I got my order. They responded saying they will review the order after ONE week from the claim. It's almost one month but still hasn't receive a refund or replacement. DO NOT SHOP HERE, they also have store policy that they will only give you store credit if the item is damaged and want to return.

Bad business
January 13, 2016

Ordered January 4 and still nothing but emails changing delivery date. Than email today says out of stock until March 1. Are they serious, what do I tell my 7 year old daughter where her vanity is... again? Than a game for cancelation. Awful never again.

I placed a order and received my notification. That my order had shipped. The items listed with each tracking number did not match up. So, I actually did not know what was coming when. So, no surprise when they sent the wrong item. Their turnaround is horrible. Everything takes 3 to 5 business days. Ecen to Email me a shipping label! Never order from this site if you want any kind of competent service.

This company is horrible. How are they still in business. Their customer service number is a recording. You cant reach a live person! I wish I read reviews before ordering. I tried canceling my order after trying to reach customer service to get information on shipping times... couldnt reach anyone. Finally I reached someone through their live online chat and he threatened me by saying "you better not go to your credit card company to argue charge!" Just awful. I feel stupid that I ordered from them. Now im stuck with an order that will most likely arrive damaged.

Purchased cork-board in early November, it arrived broken, contacted Cymax, they had me take pictures and send to them. Several weeks later... no reply, called them again, said they would get back to me. Only response you will get from them is a monthly generic email stating they are looking into it. Its January 26th and they still have my $100.00 and I have there broken piece of crap cork board... I just received the same generic email asking me to be patient. Im on the phone with them now, on hold going on 25 minutes... unreal, theres to much competition out there for this BS, shop elsewhere.

Is very bad Services!

Please do not buy anything from this company, I had very bad experience from them, so many troubles brought to me when I ordered the bed:
1, they delivered much earlier than I request, I even have not moved in yet.
2, they have missing parts, they missed two legs. So I can not use.
3, after the two legs come, it was wrong legs...

It is really bad, and I have to sleep on the floor
