This place is a joke and I do not recommend ordering anything from them. I ordered a daybed and they delivered the completely wrong item. The boxes are large and the carrier put them in my lobby and left. I was not notified of the delivery so I couldn't reject the item that was so incorrect. You cannot call anyone here. The contact center hangs up on you and asks that you send an email. They asked me to schedule a pick up with a local charity so they won't have to pick up the incorrect item. So they want me to spend all this time having a charity come to my house, pick up the item, then fax them a receipt so they receive a tax write off. WHAT A JOKE. This place is a scam and I hope they go out of business. Walmart.com works with them as a marketplace. If you order anything from Walmart, BEWARE that your item may come from this joke of a company.
SCAMMED>. I ordered a pac bed frame with storage and headboard. The headboard was missing a piece and the bed frame was of such poor material that likely would of broke before a years time. I immediately tried contacting the company to receive shipping labels and a refund. I was not ever able to reach a live person. It took 2 and a half weeks to receive a response for shipping labels. After receiving the labels I returned the Items to UPS in two days time. Then the next week I received an email as a follow up saying they are assuming I changed my mind and are closing the request.Its been a month and a half, I have sent 5 emails disputing this with proof of my return receipt from UPS, and I still cant get a reply.
WOW! They really DONT care about their customers or their crappy merchandise, as long as they are making money from us idiots. THEY ARE VERY INSENSITIVE. They didn't budge. They stuck to their decision of no refund. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR ANYTHING MADE BY MODWAY. CHEAP CHYNESE CRAP. They do not deserve even 1 star.
I ordered my loveseat on May 1st. Received it on 5/9. First time ever that I had to assemble a sofa. The pieces did not align properly. I should have been sitting on this piece of junk everyday because the warranty is only for 60 days. 6 1/2 months later, I sit my 120 lb, 5' body down on the sofa and the back of the sofa pulls away from the arm. Cymax will not stand behind their merchandise or their customers. Crappy merchandise and crappy company. No matter how good something looks, don't buy it. It's crap.
They sent it to the wrong address. Wouldn't take any ownership for the mistake. Charged me to reship. Lied about what carrier they were using and the cost. Now they are late getting the package and cannot even give me a tracking number or any information as to when the carrier will retrieve and reroute the package. This company is terrible.
Cymax.com is nightmare store. I canceled my item before the time which they said they are going to send my item but they send mt item on purpose earlier. I did not accept the item and returned it back and they robbed me and they took more than%75 of my money and they refund me just less than%25 of my money. They are simply thieves nothing else I can call them. I give my experience to all people and hope they notice and do not buy from them.
I ordered a $600 Desk & Filing Cabinet set from Bush Furniture Collection, which became a Cymax Stores window at the online checkout. The wrong box of desk legs was sent, so I wanted to help return the wrong item and get them to ship me the correct legs. When you call for Customer Service it says to email them, which I did. The response is slow with several days between emails back. They wanted me to send photos - I did. They told me to just keep the box of wrong parts (useless to me). They wanted me to email them Part Numbers for the missing parts... Uhhh, it's something I never received, I don't have Part Numbers. It's part of a larger desk set, they have that order information from me. It's an endless pointless loop. They wrote back that they were suspending my help request because I wouldn't give them the information back they requested.
I agree with all the negative comments about CYMAX, Poor customer service, damaged product, and SCAM. I ordered a Coaster Wine Pub Table in Mid August of 2016 and it arrived defective and missing hardware. I contacted their customer service team immediately and told them I need a replacement and hardware. These idiots only sent the hardware. I still have this table sitting in my living room and have requested for now 5 weeks to pick it up and refund my credit card. CYMAX is ignoring my emails and giving me the run around when I call. I will be contacting BBB and my bank to dispute the charges on my credit card. This company is a SCAM!
We ordered black bar stools a d they sent us brown ones. For 3 weeks now we are trying to contact them and nothing!

Absolutely horrendous. Item was backorder until Oct 30. On Nov 1 I received an e-mail that the order would not be shipped until Nov 15. On Nov 2 I cancelled the order. On Nov 4 I received an e-mail that my order had shipped on Nov 2 and that if I didn't want it I was now responsible for the ourbound (was supposed to be free) shipping as well as the return shipping as well as a restocking fee (unspecified amount) Do NOT deal with these people. They don't know what they're doing and they are located in Canada -- so there's nothing the FTC can do to them regarding their false statements, etc.
I purchased an under the desk wooden file cabinet (389) the 7th of Jan and as of today Feb 2nd I still haven't received it. If I go on their web page I get a run around (press this # and press that #) then go to you e-mail for the answer. I never could get a person on the phone and no help with e-mail. I tried to set up an account with them but that wouldn't work either. I even clicked on the I forgot my password to set up another one. Again I was told to go to my e-mail for instruction on how to change my password. It was there alright but the link wouldn't work. I can't even get a person to cancel this order. My only recourse is to contest the payment with my credit card company.
I ordered Dorel sleeper couch from cymax. I was EXTREMELY LUCKY to be at home during the delivery, because they were delivering me a coffee table. I was able to reject it (as oppose to them dropping it by my door), and then the hell stated. They almost NEVER pick up the phone, and then when they do, it& amp; amp;#039; s no use because they don& amp; amp;#039; t care. It took me many full days on the phone and a few months to get that couch delivered.
Homesquare/Cymax return process RIDICUOUSLY onerous; Cymax does everything it can to discourage return. Customer account on internet is not intuitive, and provides no return instructions... just a labeled menu tab, with no directions. Managed to return items, and rcv'd an email with two FEDEX tracking numbers, but NO labels, in the email, or attached to the online customer account. Homesquare phone number directs residential purchases to *******@cymax.com which will respond w/in 24 hrs, with NO phone rep option. Decided to call Cymax, chose the sales option, and was transferred over to shipping. THEN, a young and rude Asian man talked over me; when I asked him to stop talking over me, he became silent, and was condescending for the rest of the conversation. Discovered that Cymax had sent a THIRD email, for two boxes on the same order, that had gone to Junk Mail. This email was difficult to print... had to increase size to 110%, so the two labels wouldn't be cut in half. The labels were not pdf files, so initially, the entire, page long instruction printed out with off-kilter labels. Simply highlighting the labels to print out separately did not work. Will be very interesting to see if, and when, credit is received. I generally BUY USA made products! Don't support this BS.
Almost 2 mos ago, I ordered the Leo captain's bed by Ashley Furniture from Cymax, for my grandson through Walmart.com.
Trundle frame arrived damaged. From then on, it has been a nightmare trying to get anyone to respond with a replacement.
Cymax wanted me to donate the damaged frame to an unsuspecting charity! I said NO. It took 3 weeks for them to pick up the damaged frame. After many phone calls and emails, 'Travis' finally called me back and said he would handle everything... he actually said "Hi, this is Travis and I'm awesome!"
Said they were going to give me a discount and a replacement frame, which arrived damaged.
"Awesome Travis" was nowhere to be found! My phone calls went unanswered. Started over and called the 800 number; filed yet another return and and asked for entire refund and do not want this bed.
Cymax wants me, once again, to donate a damaged bed frame, that might HARM A CHILD to an unsuspecting charity on their behalf!
They won't pick up the damaged bed. They won't refund my money until I donate it and provide them with a receipt.
Contacting my credit card company for assistance. Buyer beware!
Site advertised fed ex shipping within two days. Site said you are not charged until item is shipped. Nonsense. They took the money from account immediately and sent a bogus fed ex tracking email on 6/1 that my merchandise on the way (purchased 5/27). The tracking does not update beyond " label printed" because per fed ex site, they have not received my merchandise to ship. I guess they generate a shipping label immediately to justify taking your money since transaction in "shipping status". I have called Cymax twice and emailed twice for status of my order and have not heard back. At this point, based on all reviews I have seen, I doubt I will get a reply or merchandise ( you never get a live person on calls, always " someone will return your call with 48 hours"). Now I am in process of disputing this as a fraudulent charge with my bank, but it will take a few weeks as well for investigation. For now, I am out $177.00.
Consider yourself warned, do not do business with these thieves.

Company is a scam - read other reviews - Cymax is unique in their cancellation or damaged policy charges shipping and restocking fees (which can cost as much as an item purchased) --- Never answer their phones so if you have a question regarding and order - good luck? Scam - order a product - no sales help - ask for a cancellation - told you must e-mail request - takes 3 days to receive an answer - guess what - you product already shipped within hours of the order and you are stuck with shipping and restocking fees. When I contacted the company I was told "sorry" we have grown so much the trainees are not handling the problems correctly ---- but --- good luck, you will be charged for their mistake. Company is run poorly and they can afford to ignore any help or changes because they have nothing to loose - customer will absorb cost for their lack of concern - Dealt with many online companies and have never run into anything like this. Cymax - ultimately you will have to address your scam and will not have too much business to handle problems legally. I will see you in court before I will be one of your many pawns.

I had read quite a few negative reviews about CyMax and my experience was very positive - i had need to contact customer service for an issue regarding assembly of the product - a Versatile 92 wall bed - customer service was great, resolved my problem and also put me in contact with the manufacture for some additional tech support - the unit is beautiful and I feel pretty well made - that being said the assembly was quite daunting and took longer than I had expected - finished product is great
Made a MISTAKE putting an item in my cart, and making an account w/Cymax. After 1 day I tried to cancel this item, they kept saying e mail. US, I sent 4. They finally put item on hold. They did a cancel, YET THEY WENT AHEAD AND CHARGED TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT NEAR 700.00. PUTTING ME IN DEFAULT W/MY BANK. This is a scam operation and AVOID IT AT ANY COST... THEY, KENNY AND SOME WOMAN ARE SCAMMERS AND LIARS.
This company is probably great if the product you order arrives undamaged and as it was advertised.
HOWEVER, if there is anything wrong with your item at all, be prepared to be screwed over by this company. I ordered a dresser for my newborn who is due in a few weeks. The dresser arrived damaged, though I did not see the damage until I had pretty much finished putting it together. The process to get this company to even respond has been ridiculous. When they did respond, they were unable to figure out what they sold me and replace the part. Their compensation options were that I could either have $30 back (for a dresser I paid over $200 for) and keep a damaged dresser, or I should donate the dresser (so they could get a tax refund) and then they would refund me - and I'd still have to find a new dresser.
All in all, my experience with this company has been probably the worst for customer service I have ever experienced. Not only did they send a damaged product and offer pretty bad options for refund, I had to follow up with them multiple times for weeks before even getting a response (and to this day I still have not gotten a replacement part, refund, or confirmation for a partial refund) about what they would do for the damaged item they sent me.
All in all, BEWARE.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Sent the wrong item and instead of following their own statement about offering a replacement they refused to send the correct item. They would not sell me the bed I originally bought at the price I paid. It is the company's job to check listings and make sure they are correct if not remove them or honor them. Then wanted me to take the item somewhere to ship back!
It's been 6 weeks since I ordered my office furniture, and it still hasn't shipped yet. The "fast delivery" on their site is essentially useless.
The original estimated delivery was about 2 weeks and here I am waiting for someone to do something. The company does not allow you to talk to anyone in customer service. Their phone # will only get you to a salesperson if you want to buy something. If you have an issue you are forced to write into their horrible customer service dept.
Their CS dept takes an average of 6 days to return an email. And if they say they will get back to you in 2-3 days, forget it. About 4 weeks in I did get a tracking #, only to see it was cancelled 2 days later. Another email and another 6 days later I get an email saying another tracking # with no explanation of what happened to the 1st.
It's been 5 days and the new tracking # simply says the freight order was placed.
Dealing with this company has been frustrating and totally useless. Save time and stress and find a more reputable vendor who provide any type of customer service which is better than the nothing service I've gotten from this company
