Terrible service, took my money never shipped the item, Seller does not respond or update on shipping CALLED VOICE IS FULL (probably by the other upset customers), this is not a business this is a SCAM WEBSITE stay away beware of this KAKA-Roach. Do not buy from this website or from this person on Amazon. This person is running scam... this is not a business. Filing a police report to get my refund period.

I have ordered from this company before, with no issues. I loved it. Living in Canada, it was great to find somewhere with a variety of items at a good price, versus the overpriced generic cheap stuff we get in stores here.
Recently, I went to order some stools for my kitchen. I found that the Cymax.ca website loads only a " :)" on their webpage. I didn't think much of it, and headed over to Cymax.com and spent a couple hours, and selected what I wanted.
I could not select Canada as a shipping address. "Must be a problem with my browser or the website" I thought.
I called in, and the lady told me they no longer ship to Canada!
I was extra cheesed. A CANADIAN company does not ship THEIR OWN MERCHANDISE to THEIR OWN COUNTRYMEN?
There is no mention of not shipping to Canada anywhere on their website that I can find. But it alludes to how Canadian orders will be charged sales tax, and other information about deliveries in North America, which, (last I checked), INCLUDES CANADA! What a joke.
I sent them an email with my concerns weeks ago. Did I ever get a reply or at least an acknowledgement? Of course not. I ended up using Wayfair instead.

I called this company before reading any of the reviews. I asked the CSR a question about a bedroom set and what did the 3 pieces include. She told me headboard and 2 night stands. I asked her if I could also purchase the dresser and mirror. She said no, they do not carry the dresser and mirror. I told her that generally a set consists of the headboard, dresser and mirror and that the end tables are usually an additional charge. I told her that the picture is misleading since it shows the dresser and mirror and that other stores list sets as dresser, mirror, headboard. She then told me that it is the manfacturer's picture and that if I had a problem with the picture I should contact the manufacturer. She then went on to tell me in a condescending way that, the mattress is also in the picture and that does not mean that they sell the mattress. I told her that most people with common sense already know that a set does not include the mattress. I then told her that they should put a caption under the picture that says, "dresser and mirror not available for purchase". I then told her that she was a terrible CSR, was unprofessional, and that she should in no way be debating with customers about their concerns and also that she needed better training and to reprimanded by management. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from this company ever. With this behavior they will soon be out of business. I hope! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

I ordered a couch for my apartment on Friday. The following THURSDAY, I receive an email saying that my order was cancelled. I tried to contact customer service, but their phone number says that theyve recently rerouted all customer service calls to email. So, thats irritating. Im having to email a robot to get a response. Anyways, I selected a different option over the phone in order to finally talk to a person. The second I try to figure out what was wrong (and why my couch was cancelled & why its only going to delay me getting furniture for my apartment...) the female customer service agent was instantaneously rude and arrogant. She didnt care about my situation and didnt offer me any sympathy or compensation... she was just very cross and pretty bad at her job. Im sorry but if youre in the CUSTOMER SERVICE industry, shouldnt you be a nicer person to your CUSTOMERS? I wasnt more irritated by her tone and attitude than my cancelled order.

Anyways, I was told that my couch order was cancelled due to me not answering my phone for credit card verification. My phone was stolen from me and therefore I cant answer it. Why wasnt there an attempt at contacting me a different way before cancelling my order? Like over email which is where I forbid my order confirmation in the first place!

Good luck running a company with poor customer service reps and bad policies. Very disappointed and I dont recommend this company at all!

I am still waiting to receive HALF of my BED FRAME... I have no bed to sleep on thanks to the lack of competency of this company. First of all my order arrived with the entire 36 piece bed slats missing... called them to have it replaced and was told I would have to wait 5 business days, I told them that is unacceptable and I want to speak to a manager, then I was put on hold for 10 mins and was told the manufacturer agreed to over night the missing pieces to me... I called again this morning to make sure everything is on track and was told I will get my shipment today and if not to call them back... at 3:40 PM I called them to check the status and was told they are CLOSED and the message says they close at 4PM... so how was no one available to take my call at 3:40? To make matters worse, their instruction booklet is off the charts ridiculous, makes no sense and BTW all the bolts, nuts etc. were WRONG... we basically had to just figure it all out on our own the instructions were completely USELESS and this resulted in having to take out screws after already using them and so on. Basically this company SUCKS and I wish I had found this site PRIOR to ordering with them and now ending up without a bed to sleep in for 3 nights... BEWARE!

I will NEVER buy another thing from this place again.
Worst customer service.
I have damaged furniture and I cannot get the actions they promised.
I have called 8 times. They finally said manufacturer does not want it back and they would send me an email to follow there donation instructions before I get credit for this.
And of course, no email. I have this huge box in my garage that they say I have to donate to a charity of there choose with the paperwork they email me filled out by the charity and then submit this in for a credit.(which I am sure will take longer than it has so far)
I have been trying to get this out of my garage for 3 weeks.
I do not dare donate it without the paperwork they have not sent and now they are only open to answer calls from Mon-Fri from 9 am to 4 pm Pacific.
Whatever you do don't opt for a call back as they promise as it will never happen.
If your like me, you work long hours and do not have anymore time than I do to sit on hold and then have them NOT do what they promised to do!

DO NOT BUY ONE THING FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT DAMAGED MERCH You cannot get returned or get the refund honored.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

I wish i could rate them as a -0. I order 3 chest dressers way back in april this yr the company i order from paired me with these ppl ima start by saying bad company bad business bad communication back in may i received 3 dressers thinking they just put the 3 in 2 boxes but once we open we realized it was only 1 inside the box and the other was chipped up pretty good so i reach out to the ppl i order from and they explained it was 3rd party so they reached out to find out wat happened they said oh one of the dressers was damaged in the process to wait patiently for them to get a new one i explained i was working on a very important project and i couldn't finish until i received the last dresser the 3 rd party company was to shame to they stop communicating told the other company its was damaged in the process of shipping told them they was out of stock until july 9th i told both companies i would wait until then we now in june the dressers was only 98 each and now they 149 so yes i will wait yesterday i checked my bank and they refunded me my money back i was so upset because now i cant finish the project i started my feels is to hurt yes i feel like i was robbed all i asked for was communication

I'll start by saying that this is the first negative review I have ever left for a company and I shop both in stores and online, dine out, and use many professional services A LOT! For starters, my item was suppose to arrive between the 10-13, I called on the 14th to inquire on the whereabouts of my item and could not get through to customer service until 11AM my time. When they did open and I finally got connected, I was on hold for more than 30 minutes waiting to speak to a CSR only to be told by trisha that she had no explanation it was "a new shopping company she had never heard of or dealt with" and someone would give me a call back later that day. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, so she placed me on hold again and the man at ext 115 came on and said he would look into it and call me by 3pm my time, he never called back. The next time I called to inquire was in the 15th and I hung up after holding for 105 minutes, the next time I called was the 16th and was on hold for 65 minutes only to be told it should finally arrive the 17th. This company is ALWAYS experiencing high volume phone calls (easy to see why) and is not helpful or knowledgeable at all. Also, seeing as how i listened to their hold announcements for more than 3 hours, if like to say that "We will be right with you shortly" is first off... a lie, second contradictory and third redundant. Buyers beware when shopping on Amazon or other online sites that this is NOT the company your item is coming from!

I have never delt with a worser company in my life! I have purchased a headband from Cymax and before I have made the purchase I called and emailed customer service asking if that headboard will fit my bed, they have assured me that it will fit as long as its the same size as my bed (which is king size) with that said I trusted them and purchased the headboard. Once I got the headboard my husband tried to assemble it and to my surprise the headboard was too small, and didn't match at all to the bolts in the bed frame! I was soooo disappointed I contacted customer service right away to tell them they have given me the wrong information and that the headboard doesnt fit. They responded dew days later saying they cant take the headboard back because the manufacture company doesn't accept returns once the item is taken out of the box. I have filed a complain with my credit card company and today I have received an email from Cymax telling me I need to send them pictures of where the issue is with the headboard and then maybe they'll return my money MAYBE...! This is absolutely insane. I can't even begin to explain how angry I am with this company! I don't understand how they stay in Business! They tell customers wrong information, they don't know what they're talking about and once you want to return a product they make it a living hell for you! Stay away from this company and save yourself from all this drama, stress and the fact you're be loosing your money! Horiffic experience and definitely do NOT RECCOMEND CYMAX!

This is the worst of the worst! Ordered one T. V. Stand and my cart would not take the item until I did it 4 times. When I received the print out they charged me for 4 T. V. stands, I only ordered one at 146.75. I managed to hit the cancel button to cancel three of these. The auto email said it would take 2 to 3 days to confirm the cancel. I called the very next day to make sure they were canceled immediately. Needless to say they never picked up the phone and never confirmed the cancelation. I called back a day later and they said they would take care of it but never did. I canceled long before the shipping took place. I contacted the shipping company and told them to please update me on the shipping, never happened. They had added 146.75 x 4 to my Discover card and told me to cancel I would have to pay a re-stocking fee plus 31.00 each to send back. They do not reimburse you until you have paid the shipping fee for return. So I would actually get 115.00 after they took out the return fee on each. They said it did not matter whether I left the 3 extra on the truck and not take delivery that I was still responsible for the fees. As far as I am concerned they intentionally had the order open to keep adding to the cart four times before it showed one in the cart so it could be processed. By this time they had charged my credit card for all 4(I only wanted the one). I opened a dispute with my credit card company. Discover credited my account for the cost of 3 T. V. Stands. I received a letter that the dispute was being closed. However I was not told what to do about the shipping, I had not done this yet because CYMAX said the time had expired for the returns. But if I still wanted to return the items they could possibly open the process of returning them at 31.00 each. I called Discover to clarify what my next move was to be. She said I would need to re-open another dispute to get the money refunded for the return shipping. When I tried to ask Discover about the shipping time frame had lapsed and what was I to do--------Discover fraud division hung up and left me on the phone. Now I have to go all through this crap again. I will never deal with this company Cymax again. They are thieves!

To be honest I am not sure who you spoke with or tried calling but Cymax is always here to assist our customers especially if the error occurred on our end. Regarding our checkout service, I can state there is nothing wrong and there are no errors in the process. With all checkouts provided across the web there is a failsafe confirmation button. The user must look at the cart and then hit submit. There are no errors in this process. Regarding the cancellation of the orders you placed and since we are a third party drop ship company, our manufacturer needs to be notified that the order is cancelled and we require the 2 to 3 days in order for them to confirm the cancellation. If in fact your orders did ship we would be more than happy to help you with options on the return process. STAY AWAY

After reviewing a large sectional on a multitude of websites who all offered extremely long delivery dates-I decided to order from Cymax specifically due to the quick delivery date. Relocating to a new state-I needed furniture for my new apartment by a specific date. After receiving no shipping confirmation within the time I was told by Cymax I called and was told the couch actually would not be delivered for 3-4 weeks AFTER it was shipped. So their "delivery date" of march 8th at the latest was looking more like April. Meaning almost a month with no couch in a new apartment. No thanks. Naturally I went to cancel which is always a breeze on reputable websites such as Overstock and Wayfair. I was told it was going to be taken care of and they confirmed with the manufacturer that the item was not going to ship until Monday. Their cancellations need to go through a "review" After being confirmed by 3 reps on the phone that it indeed was going to be cancelled and would be receiving a refund in 5-7 days-i received an email the next day stating that no refund would be given and the couch would still be shipped-this time miraculously stating "oh well not April but it will only take a few weeks" after asking what a "few weeks" means-was told they don't know. This is a ball drop on CYMAX'S end-NOT the customer. If this is your policy-you should probably have more direct contact with your vendors so your delivery dates are correct. Absolutely disgusting customer service-take your business to REPUTABLE online retailers who will gladly refund your money when THEY mess up. They also will try to charge "restocking fees" and return shipping fees for an order you need to return if they decide not to honor their shipping dates. Cymax has made my out of state relocation absolutely horrible and now my kids can sit on the floor for "a couple weeks" because we have no furniture. GO TO REPUTABLE ONLINE STORES NOT THIS ONE.

Stay Away-Read Till The End
September 17, 2015

I ordered a Desk from Cymax and it was shipped in two shipments. One arrived and one was damaged in route and never made it. Not their fault of course. It did however take them two weeks just to sort the re-order process and at one point email me to find what had actually been delivered. So apparently they're just a middle man, a place to click a button for something you want to purchase and they pass along your order to one of their "Vendors" who will fulfill the order. Anyway it's been over a month and I still haven't received my order. I finally got fed up bc now the item is showing back-ordered for a couple more weeks, the original purchase date was 8/19 and today is 9/17. I processed a Cancellation Request and decided to move on to a legitimate company. The request was denied and I received an email confirmation that the order had shipped. I have checked the FedEx Tracking number they provided and no shipment or label exists, even days later. So basically they gave me a fake tracking number so that they could deny my cancellation request and now they're holding my money hostage until their "Vendor" can eventually fulfill the order and if I decide to return the item they will charge me the Original Shipping Costs plus an undisclosed "Restocking Fee", apparently different "Vendors" charge different amounts. So now I have to file a complaint with the FTC bc this is highly illegal. Denying my cancellation request bc they can't and have not done their job but they still want to get paid. Ridiculous! Stay far away... Update as of 9/22. After filing Complaints with the FTC, BBB & a payment dispute with PayPal, Cymax finally caved and Authorized a full Refund. In true form though they asked that I donate what I had received to Charity and to list them as the Donor. They want me to send them the receipt from the Charity stating Cymax donated the Desk I ordered at the full price that I paid. They only sent the Metal Legs and some nuts & bolts yet they would like a Tax Deduction for the entire amount. Seems incredibly Shady and I think the IRS may want a second look at their "Charitable Donations" listed on their Corporate Tax Returns. Personally I will never do business with them again and would Advise anyone thinking of doing so to be careful. Shop around bc it's not a deal if you never receive what you paid for.
