Damaged goods

Extremely disappointed. Will never order from cymax again. Is it too much to expect undamaged furniture? We ordered a love seat & sofa. The sofa is damaged. Tear on the back & staples exposed.

I purchased office furniture months ago, besides recieving broken and chipped pieces, I also had missing pieces. I have called and emailed repeatedly to try to resolve the issue, but months later, I am left with incorrect pieces sent in lieu of the correct pieces, missing pieces and chunks and glued pieces of very poorly made Kathy Ireland furniture that I still cannot use until they send the correct pieces.

I would never advise anyone to purchase from Cymax, they are an absolute nightmare to work with and as previously stated the Kathy Ireland office furniture I purchased is so poorly made, I expect to have to purchase a replacement set in the near future - if I can ever actually use the desk and credenza IF the missing pieces are ever sent to me.

Run as fast as you can and purchase your furniture from anyone but Cymax.

I had Purchased Bed Frame Ashley Dirmack Wood Queen Leather Panel Bed Brown form them and it was damaged while shipping to me. After long fight with them they gave me $70 refund keep the damaged product because I was not confident enough that I will get new piece without damage. Later after 7 Months While I was in Sleep all of sudden frame broke and Thank god I didn't get any injuries. I was following with them to get warranty for replace broken part, they keep sending me automated mail to contact Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc but They replied saying Warranties handled at retailer so I need to contact retailers, but No Luck CYMAX not bothered about that keep sending same email to contact Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. My Sincere advice not to by anything from CYMAX if you don't want to be in trouble.

Guys - CYMAX IS A SCAM. DON'T EVERY BUY STUFF FROM THIS WEBSITE.
Standard modus operandi - you order the stuff, there is a callin #, but when you need to follow-up/track your shipment, you can contact only via email which takes 24-48 hours response time. Always standard response. Did not receive my stuff one week after committed date, They committed that you can cancel if I want & when I cancelled my order, they handed over cancellation policy to me. They use this policy to hold your money for no fault of yours.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Canadians beware, the prices are displayed in Canadian funds, free delivery, but when you check out, there are many many fees added to your purchase. A $ 789 couch ended up costing almost double with delivery, custom, handling, taxes. But I still wanted that couch, so i ordered it once it showed my total of $1379 then came the surprise as after another 600 showed up on my total for "beyond charges" fee totaling over 2 grand by now... so I called them straight away and customer service said it's because my area is out of the delivery route...? So I cancelled my order within minutes of placing it. I have to wait and see whether I will get my money back, I called visa and I think I am looking at a fight with this company... Even though all prices displayed in Canadian funds as it was the Canadian website, see if all the money will be deposited back the other question I have is how can be an extra charge added to my total when I didn't consent to it? Never ever experienced such a bad shopping online and I will never ever go near this bunch of people again. STAY AWAY

Darren (Manager) I had to fight to get his name. He calls me back and tells me there is nothing he is going to do in spite knowing that I will write a review on SM.

He says this will not change his mind about the $158 they're holding as a

"Restocking Fee"

The representative told me, when she came back on the line. That

MANAGEMENT (Darren) said:

"Well TRY READING THE POLICY BETTER!

We cancelled the order after ONE DAY. She said they can take up to a month to deliver. So why are they keeping our funds?

She said that past the 5th day, the order cannot be cancelled.

Please do not get STUCK doing business with this company. You will have NO PRODUCT and lose money over SMALL PRINT POLICIES

This company needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I've never had such a negative experience like this with an on-line company before. I ordered a desk on 4/4 and received an email a few days later saying it had shipped. This was the ONLY email I ever received with any "correspondence" and that email was actually false because it never shipped. I called a couple weeks later and it was on "back order", then a few weeks later it suddenly "cancelled" without my request. After calling several times on 5/17 and speaking with rude customer service reps, I was told I would receive a refund. It is now May 31st and I just found out it was cancelled with the manufacturer but they didn't cancel with Cymax! So I have to wait another "5" days for a refund. I am hoping and praying I actually receive my refund. I have wasted 2 months, money and aggravation on this company. They need to only ship to the big companies that work with them like Amazon, etc. and not try to do it themselves because they SUCK at it.

Delivered a DAMAGED, cheap looking, junky dresser and won't return money or respond now after WEEKS of emails and phone calls. I sent pics, emailed evidence and was offered a replacement dresser or a full refund. I chose refund and now they won't respond back to me. BUYER BEWARE.

This place is RIDICULOUS! I ordered this for my 83 yro grandmother from the sears website under the impression I was ordering from SEARS. Just to find out once I received the mattress which was labeled a QUEEN online but it was a FULL. They said they don't even carry QUEENS in this mattress style. So why did they have it labeled online as a QUEEN?! Had I known this was not actually a sears product I would've done reviews and noticed all the HORRIBLE reviews this company has. I have been dealing with this company for the last month and NOTHING! Then they say they are going to refund me FINALLY. But only HALF of what I paid?!?!?! You've got to be kidding me. I don't think that is even legal! This company needs to be SHUT DOWN! Will never deal with this company again, and will also be giving sears a call and letting them know they lost a customer just because they are allowing this company on their website to sell.
RIDICULOUS!

I ordered a floor mirror beautiful mirror! Shipping was fast but guess what?! I RECEIVED THE WRONG ITEM! I called customer service they said to take a picture and send then an email days go by and nothing i call again and they tell me that everything is being processed and that it might take a day or two, days go by and nothing happens so i call again and they tell me that the pictures i sent weren't good enough ( after a customer service agent told me that they were fine) that i need to open the box and take pictures of the inside which to me was ridiculous because it was nothing but unassailable parts and again i sent the email and again nothing! Ive contacted this company 3 times and all i get is a $#*!ING APOLOGY! Over and over again... it has now been a month that ive had a huge box in the middle of my living room I haven't received any news nor have they resolved this problem at this point they can shove that mirror where the sun dont shine and they can hand me my money back!

I bought a steel double bunk bed from Cymax, (Through Walmart), and received the bed in early September. I bought the bed set for quests I have coming in March.
After receiving the bed set (in two huge boxes, I had a wedding in August, a trip in October, a wedding in November and a wedding in December. Because of all the trips I did not have time to put together the beds until mid December.

As I was putting the beds together I noticed a "slice" cut in the solid steel head board. I took pictures and described the issue and sent that info/pics to Cymax. Their brief response said "We are sorry you are not happy, but we will not replace the damaged part because our RETURN/REPLACEMENT policy is 30 days"! REALLY!
As I sent in my description to Cymax, it was OBVIOUSLY DAMAGE FROM A FORKLIFT!
And I do not have one thing in my house that has a sharp enough edge and the power to slice through metal! They would not replace the damaged part!
I will not ever buy from them again! Ridiculous!

I should have known this would go awry when placing an order via phone and they try stinging me for an additional charge for shipping. Around $148 when the site says free. She tells me it's because of the size of the items and they don't deliver where I live? You don't deliver where I live... WTF is that? Perhaps you should advertise "free shipping to certain locales... all others we screw"!

Takes a month to get the items that are listed as "in stock". All packaging arrives in good shape, but one of the stools are broken... which means it shipped that way. A replacement will be sent... In 3 months (out of stock NOW). So it appears they've pawned off my order on HomeSquare which may be a sub of Cymax. Very similar sites, same incompetance... I'm assuming they're related. Even the cancellation link in their emails don't work, lol... how sad is that...

Research and read the reviews and don't worry about saving a few dollars... it is NOT worth the hassle with companies like this. Good bye to you!

Please save yourself a headache, and buy elsewhere. These are very unscrupulous characters, and professional hustlers. We bought a 6' wood bookcase, 229 pounds, through Amazon, and arranged for an assembler. Long story short, a label was created, no movement on the item. I realized it was not going to get here on time for the assembly, so I pushed the assembly date four days ahead. When I emailed them my concerns, they completely ignored me. Only when I got Amazon to contact them, did they respond. They said they were going "to investigate " to try to find out where the item was in transit, and they needed one or two days for this, something that should take a few minutes, especially with today's technology. Since neither my husband nor I came down with yesterday's rain, we recognized this as a stall tactic, and I immediately cancelled the order, but through a call to Amazon. I got a reply that they would refund my money, but they weren't sure if they could do anything about the tax, about $60. However, the next day, I got a message that I had been refunded in full. Fine, I bought a different bookcase elsewhere. A week later, my order shows up, the one that had been canceled and refunded. Now they send me a message, would I like to arrange to re-pay for it, since it was delivered? I had to call Amazon again to say I wanted to return it, and they tried to say I had been refunded because of shipping delays- not true at all; it had been canceled! Then I had to contact Amazon again, and again they said they'd send return shipping labels, but when would it be convenient for me to have it picked up? Again, I had to call Amazon, because I didn't want to deal directly with these people. Finally, they emailed me return shipping labels, and UPS picked them up. Amazon and every other distributor should really ban them from selling on their platforms.

Just another bad review

I ordered a coffee table and matching end table. The coffee table arrived damaged, I emailed providing pictures and information. I was informed I would receive a replacement order and a tracking number. After a few weeks I hadn't received the package so I used the tracking number and it was delivered to a different country. I then emailed again, multiple times with no response. Finally I received a response to one and they asked for information, which I provided and was then informed my case was escalated to a manager. Days past and I then received the following response:
We hope this email finds you well though we're sorry to hear you never received your item.

Unfortunately as per our return/replacement policy, this is now outside of time frame and we are no longer able to assist.

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused... somehow it is now outside there time frame, they conveniently ignored my emails until then. My original email advising of the damage was sent 17 days after I received the product so clearly within 30 days. I now see many products arrived damaged and others have similar issues. NEVER give your money to this company, you will regret it.
