I was in the middle of using a very expensive computer I had bought from CyberPowerPC when it suddenly sparked and caught fire. Very strange experience. So I pulled the power and later called their support. It was 13 months old and I had bought their 3 year warranty. Unfortunately they were very unhelpful and explained I would have to pay to ship them the equipment and pay for any installation as they only covered parts. Frankly they were pretty rude and dismissive and refused to get their manager for me to talk to, or give me any way to reach out to their manager. I've bought about 7 computers since from Ibuypowerpc and not a single one of them have caught fire and when there was an issue they were great to work with.
They installed a dodgy power unit in my pc when they built it that then caused on going issues for months they then sent me a replacement power unti but by then it had already caused corrosive damage to other parts of my pc including my graphics card. When i sent the pc back to be fixed they made up that liquid had been spilt on the graphics card and there for it was no longer protected under warranty so i had to pay for another graphics card. Please do not purchase from these con artists.
Please avoid dealing with Cyberpower at all cost!
They sold me a faulty laptop which I agreed to have repaired.
They kept it for a whole month and it still came back faulty.
I therefore asked for a replacement to which they agreed to but then declined saying that it had a "scratch" on it.
I therefore asked for a refund which they gave me but charged me over £130.00 to "repair" the scratch.
All in all I have used the laptop for less than 2 weeks at the cost £130.00 and have nothing to show for it but loads of headaches and disappointment... Of course Cyberpower took no responsibility at all for selling me a faulty £750.00 item to begin with... Well done Cyberpower for showing your true colors, just keep caring about your pockets and not your customers!
They shipped me a newly built computer. From day one I had blue screens and tried everything with the operating system to fix it. Come to find that they glued the PC Case cooling fan wire directly over the CPU. This caused EMF to be transfered to the CPU thus damaging it and causing my OS to crash. They denied that this was an issue. They refused to accept responsibility for the issue and I was forced to buy a new CPU on my own. After installing the new one the computer hasn't given me an issue. Worse company and service ever!
I ordered a top shelf build with a new 4090 GPU which was $5000. On arrival I could see that the connector to the GPU was crushed up against the tempered glass side panel, bending the connector and clearly bending the circuit board with the GPU. Clearly the case is not compatible with the GPU. How was this not raised as an issue by the builder or flagged during QC? The pc was nevertheless boxed up and sent out to me. Bent connectors have been flagged as the issue in various failings of this GPU. Now CyberPower are expecting me to pay the $80 to ship this back to it. The last 3 emails I have sent have so far gone unanswered and I have had to dispute the transaction with me credit card company. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of this the 'professional cable management' is an absolute joke. Whoever built this pc has jammed all of the cables in with zero thought for management. Do not do business with this company.
I've bought two laptops from them. I'll never buy another. The power input didn't mount correctly to the motherboard, pressing in certain places on the laptop would cause it to BSOD and restart (ie, pressing lightly on the back, or setting it on my legs and putting my hands on top of it to type).
Their laptops are horrible. You'd be better served buying refurbished directly from the major manufacturera, which is what I do now and am pleased with that
Purchased gaming Pc from B&H. Spent a few weeks trying to trouble shoot it and concluded the graphics card was faulty. After an hour hold with Cyberpower, they sent me a voucher to mail the PC for them so they can replace the faulty card. After two weeks, the computer was sent back with dented case and broken parts. Clearly this was dropped at Cyberpowers facility as the box/packaging was not damaged. I asked for a new computer and they said Nope. They won't do it. But they would repair it. What a joke! Sell a faulty product, and send it back broken as a repair. Zero confidence in this company. Don't buy Cyberpower.
Bought one for my son. Never used, he came home from college plugged it in and it restarts every 5 minutes. Was within the warranty. Contacted customer support. They have you take apart the computer and PAY FOR SHIPPING TO THEM. The computer is HEAVY and very expensive to ship from Ohio to California. They shipped back the part and it still did not work. Wanted me to SHIP IT AGAIN and cover the cost of shipping. WHAT A WASTE OF A 1,000. Contacted Best Buy they will not help. Look at their BBB reviews which are horrible, even though they give them an A+ rating. I cannot understand why. This company is a FRAUD! Do not buy unless you get a solid warranty from the company you buy it from because Cyberpower PC will give you NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE.
I build a pc on June 17th with cyber power pc. After waiting about 3 weeks, cyber power pc contacted me and informed me that my mother board did not support the 2x SLI configuration for my build. I asked their sales manager if i could upgrade my mother board and they told me a big fat "NO". I was a bit shocked at first as i cyber power pc suggested i had to buy the build or cancel. So obviously i canceled as why would i pay $4000 for a PC that doesn't even meet the original intent of 2x SLI and why would i buy 2 gtx 1080 ti and my mother board does not support SLI... so now i have to wait another 7 business days for them to refund my money... so that's basically 5 weeks wasted and no PC... based on my experience, i guess business must be so good that they don't even care about $#*!ting on new customers...
Do not buy from CyberpowerPC or Buy a PC made by CyberpowerPC.
We were close to be left with a brick after spending 2500$ to get a custom made PC.
First few days of having it, worked well, except we noticed every STEAM game crashed after 15 minutes.
They told us to check the ram, the ram was perfectly fine after running two different tests to check the RAM and this is also when as you can see in the photo, the fans were installed directly above the RAM making it almost impossible to get to. Ridiculous!
After dealing with the RAM we also noticed the front FANS were not functioning anymore.
They also refused to pay for shipped if we wanted to it to be fixed or returned and wanted to charge a 15% fee, on top of 120$ shipping fee. That's 370$!
NO WAY.
We got the retailer we bought it from to take it back after showing proof that Cyberpower did not ship a functioning computer.
I ordered a PC from these morons with HDD drive with a SSD backup for running games and these stupid goods made the SSD drive C. Danny Hua is a $#*!ing dumbass nobody wants there system files on the $#*!ing SSD what a stupid mother$#*!er. Don't shop here buy from a American owner and operated company not these $#*!ing slants.
I used to always buy either XPS or HP envy systems until a friend told me about cyberpower PCs. They are signifincantly less expensive than the compeitition for 17.3 inch laptops. If you do a spec by spec comparison against other name brand gaming pcs cyberpower will almost always cost less.
Bought a 4000 dollar pc GPU was faulty sent it to them at my cost which is crap only for them to send the same broken card back. Run From these Clowns and There Junk PCs Just buy else where at all costs cause if something goes wrong they wont fix anything Period! Not to mention their so called technicians one of who left me on the phone for a half hour while he went on his lunch break. Just a Scumbag Company!
Just a Note, I am from Kentucky so therefor it does take a while to ship it back in forth and to add one, we have been having a lot of tornadoes.
So I ordered a 3,000$ Custom PC from these people, it arrived within 2 weeks which is really good considering it had an 3080 but turns out it had a defective GPU, I emailed the support and within 3 days, I was already given a Label and today it is being shipped back for free. Honestly their support is semi fast and really good.
Avoid these guys. Ordered a $4.6k machine, with lots of upgraded stats, including upgraded RAM. When I got the machine, the RAM ran at 2.4Ghz instead of 4 I paid for. That's because the RAM wasn't on the motherboard manufacturer's QVL list.
When I called tech support, they offered either a partial refund for the RAM (why partial?) or to send me other, generic sticks, with no guarantee they'd work any better. In general support was unhelpful bordering on rude.
I'm never shopping with these guys again.
Games, browsers, and my antivirus software crashes. I requested a video card replace and it wasn't any better. I got more crashes and more blue screens. They sent me a fecal matter wrapped in a pretty case.
Ugh! Bought a laptop for my wife's birthday at the end of September. The computer wouldn't boot. Contacted technical support and they sent me a link where I could download a Windows recovery file. Finally figured out how to make that work and reinstalled windows. The computer booted, but with not shut down properly which meant I had to do a hard shut down every time. After having a couple of different technical experts fail to fix the problem, I contacted tech support again and they had me return it.
Took a week and a half to receive a new laptop. When I tried to start the computer crashed during set up. Tried to reboot and it crash again. I'm done with CypberPowerPC. They don''t apparently do a quality check before shipping. I am not going though this again.
If you purchase a laptop from them they will ask you to give them 5 stars for amazon gift cards while also adding to make them sound good. After barely a year of using my laptop its just screwed, (BSOD, overheated GPU) [Addendum: I reported that my GPU was overheating {98 Degrees Celsius} on day 1 when I got the laptop but was told it was "normal" and I stupidly believed them] so I bought another laptop from them 2 months ago. It's already messed up despite not having been used for intense gaming, just casual stuff (1 hour gaming a week, maybe like dead by daylight for an hour or some old starwars battlefront 2 games). In an nutshell;; BSOD on day 1, no good customer support waiting for days for a response, call teams just are absolute garbage telling me to redo all the fixes they told me to do, and flat out just a scam. They're just trying to get more of your rates to look good, but the product is absolute garbage. Don't support their company, its literally a sham.
Got my desktop (AMD Ryzen 5 7600 - 16GB Memory) with cyberpower and its awesome, no complaints. It holds all my games and functions like it's supposed to. They also have a great customer service.
Ordered PC last Cyber Monday. Sat in box for 6 months. When opened, froze if ever was left on inactive too long. Too much pain to send back so lived with. Just before 1 yr Warranty expired (the three year warranty is basically worthless as it is only labor, and they make up their own crazy prices for parts), the PC completely died. Packing and shipping to CyberPowerPC ($600.00) cost far more then bringing to a local repair shop ($150). Said could honor warranty by just supplying parts BUT, EVEN WITH A CREDIT CARD on file, CyberPowerPC REFUSED to send a replacement part prior to receiving their defective junk back, despite me being a long term repeat customer of substantial machines!
Answer: They sell inferior hardware, and can't seem to diagnose issues without breaking the hardware. It's not a scam in the traditional sense. You'll definitely get something, it just won't be worth the money, and dealing with them isn't worth the stress or time.
Answer: Wanted a custom build machine with two video cards. Few companies do that, and most of those are for the uber gamer which I am not.
Answer: Get ahold of them? Not hard, just a long wait. But them being able to assist you appropriately and in a meaningful way? Not really.
