CVS needs to update their phone system and just STOP with the annoying vaccine recommendations. I got Gillian Barre's syndrome with their vaccine and if you've ever been paralyzed you would NEVER take it again. Took 2 yrs to get over it. Their music is funeral music while on hold. Nice customer service with people if you EVER get thru the horrific phone system.

Web site and physical store site don't communicate properly with each other. I will never use them again for prescription refills... ever. What a mess.

Very helpful employee
March 31, 2020

Recently had to purchase something at CVS in Davidson NC. We had had a bad experience earlier and had almost given up on CVS after being long-time customers.

Fortunately on April 30 we encountered an employee by the name of Timer at the Davidson store (127 South Main Street in Davidson NC). He was most helpful, informed and courteous and has renewed our respect for CVS.

Sincerely,

Jack & Clare Lewin

I have a prescription for hydroxychloroquine. Tried to fill it thru cvs and they said no. They do not fill that. I told them it was crazy they werent filling a life saving drug. It been proven effective. Ive been taking it for months. Im almost 60yo. With serious heart and lung issues as well as diabeties. I am an appraiser. I go into 2 to 6 houses a day and have since covid started. Ive never gotten covid. Thank to hydroxychloroquine. This is insane. My insurance makes me use cvs or else I would leave them in the dust.

CVS is alright
January 18, 2017

I like CVS because it is a chain and I can find almost everywhere. CVS is like any other chain drug store. It sells what you expect a drug store to sell. What I don't like about CVS is that they don't accept Apple Pay. Instead they want consumers to use CVS Pay through the CVS mobile app. I will refuse to use CVS Pay. CVS should just start accepting Apple Pay. Apple Pay is the way of the future. CVS should jump on board like Walgreens did.

Leaving this review here b/c I am certain CVS will NEVER publish my scathing review of their useless Beauty 360 Cordless Foil Shaver. Advertisements and instructions provide information on replacing heads -- NO REPLACEMENT HEADS AVAILABLE. This is FALSE ADVERTISING - CVS is aware of this, but could not care less. In other words -- it is not "Customer SErvice" but "Customers SERVE-US"

Incompetent pharmacy
December 15, 2022

CVS Bridgeport Ave. Shelton, CT Dropped off prescription for processing and told 15 min. Wait. No problem, I'll wait. 30 min. Later I ask pharmacist if my script is ready. I Get told she doesn't know and to get in line at the checkout counter after several other people who came in after me were waiting. I get to the counter when it's my turn and yes, my script has been ready. They didn't bother to tell me when it was filled so I wouldn't have to wait any longer and then they couldn't find it. It appears it was put in the wrong bin and not given to the checkout person. When complaining about what happened, the pharmacist tried to tell me it wasn't the 30 min. I said it was. I guess they need to learn how to tell time, and learn to read, customer waiting. I'm glad my new insurance company is changing to a different preferred pharmacy in 2 weeks!

CVS is the worst Pharmacy in the city. This CVS is on Grand Street in New York City and it looks like they hire the worst people they can find. And the place could be packed with people and everybody ignores you and they take lunch at the same time that is the stupidest thing any company could do.

I am on a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan that uses CVS, exclusively, as their "Preferred" Pharmacy Chain. That means I either have to fill my prescriptions at CVS, or pay significantly more to fill them at a different pharmacy. CVS refuses to fill my "Do Not Substitute" prescriptions as written (by my physicians). No good reason given by CVS pharmacist, just told me that CVS could not provide (generic) drugs manufactured by the pharmaceutical companies specified on my prescriptions, even though CVS does have the ability to do so (other more customer-centric drug store chains do this for their customers). Apparently, CVS would rather limit their customer base to people who will accept whatever CVS chooses to dispense... likely due to their focus being on profit, rather than on what is in a customer's best interest.

I have been really impressed by this website especially that which concerns health information! One can really get informed about his health and can, thus, prevent from serious diseases! Go on!

I absolutely hate CVS. They are the worst. I would not shop there if they paid me a million dollars. They throw away your things and lie to you. They cheat, steal, and make no effort to help you. Me and my daughter went there in January 2020 to buy a disposable camera that she could take to Science Camp. We dropped off the cameras in March for the CVS people to print the pictures. They told my daughter and I that we would get a call when the pictures were ready. They said it would take about 8-10 weeks. After this much time we did not get any call, so at the end of June we went to CVS to see if the pictures were ready. The CVS people said that they had most likely thrown them away. My daughter was absolutely devastated when she heard this. She was so excited to finally get her pictures back but because of these horrible idiots she didn't. Science camp is such a memorable time in one's life and you want to save memories. I felt so bad for my daughter because she absolutely deserved those pictures. How can you just throw away someone else's property like that. They didn't even give us the cameras back. Just awful. I absolutely hate these lazy, lying CVS people

I ordered some items from CVS.com because they were having a sale. My package got lost in the mail. It is shown through tracking that it got lost when UPS transferred the package to the post office. The first time I called CVS, the representative that answered sounded drunk or stoned and mumbled. I could barely understand him. He told me that I needed to wait 10 business days from the date that I placed the order before they could do anything. Then they would DHL a duplicate order to me. I called back after the 10 business days. This time the representative was a woman and she told me that they would have to do an investigation with UPS and USPS and I would find out the status in 72 hours. I got a call from the USPS stating that the package was officially lost. I then called CVS customer service to let them know. As so much time had passed, I had already gone out and purchased the items that I had ordered (body wash, moisturizer, etc) and I just wanted a refund. The representative said she would process the refund in the full amount and it should be credited to my account within 3 business days. It has now been 4 business days and no refund. I am fed up and will never order from CVS again. No matter how great of a sale they have. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from ordering items online. I now have to call them again and find out why I haven't received my refund. Just crazy. A simple order has turned into a month long draining event.

LACEY IS ONE OF THEIR REPRESENTATIVES - SHE GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO BE HELPFUL AND GETS THE JOB DONE! SO PLEASANT AND IS ONE IN A MILLION. ENTIRE STAFF IS VERY PLEASANT, TOO - ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS! KUDOS TO THIS PHARMACY.

I received an email offering 30% off any full-priced item and free shipping for an online order. I was close to meeting my Extra Care rewards so I got online and ordered a common beauty product, LOreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal. The cost was 25.99 and so I would have received $7.73 off and free shipping. There was no problem checking out, no notice of being out of stock, but a little while later, I received an email stating they could not fulfill my order and no reason given. I called customer support and was on the phone for 45 minutes and put on hold several times. They could give me no reason as to why my order could not be filled. When I was told they were going to contact their receiving/shipping dept. and I would hear back for them, I politely requested a rain check. After being put on hold one more time, Chris, the customer service representative came back and offered me $10 off my next order - this did not include free shipping. This was not an equivalent amount of my order. After some questioning about it, I found out I would have to call customer service to place my order if I wanted to receive the $10 off my next order. Chris apologized for forgetting to mention this, ahem, little fact. I believe this is very bad business. You all can make your own judgements about their business practices - but to me they seem a little on the shady side.

If i could give CVS 0 stars, I would. My son is prescribed controlled medication for ADHD. The laws in my state already make it difficult to get a refill on prescriptions (needs to have less than 3 doses remaining, etc.) To function, my son needs to take his medication every day. Many times he's been completely out of medication and the staff have said "Oh we might get a shipment in sometime next week". They have no empathy towards people who require medication.

In the past, I've had to be proactive and call multiple CVS's to see which one had the medication in stock. Then I've driven hours in heavy traffic to pick it up.

Today I was faced with a similar situation. Son is out of pills. Order for refill was placed 5 days ago. Pharmacy tech behind the counter cannot tell me when medication will be in and shows no concern at all. The only difference is this time, CVS no longer allows me to be proactive and call other stores and ask if they have the medication on hand. It's like they're keeping it a secret or trying to keep customers in the dark with regards to finding their medication.

Turns out that keeping medication stock secret is a CVS-only policy.

I called the local Walgreens and found out within 3 minutes that they had my son's medication on hand. I called his physician's office and quickly had a refill waiting. Never again will I use CVS for anything, not even a pack of gum.
