Ordered two cushion covers for $800, and they literally disintegrated the first time we washed them. (No laundry instruction tag anywhere--you have to dig around on the website--a lot--to find care instructions, and when you find them you realize that these items are much much more delicate than any other linen items you've ever washed any time before, mainly because there's NO SELVAGE.) When I complained to the company, they repaired the covers by cutting off the damaged sections and sewing smaller covers (So much for that $800 custom fit...) Worse, the company is so accustomed to complaints that they have a rigid protocol for denying customers' claims. (They will pro-actively call you a liar before you even tell them the problem.) So bad it's almost amusing.

I found Cushion Source online. We had to be very specific with our dimensions, as our newly installed window seat was big. Cushion Source website design made it foolproof to do everything perfectly! The instructions for picking out fabric, welting, and size was so easy. The cushion was delivered within 12 days and it is GORGEOUS! The color of the fabric online was close to the fabric in person. My cushion is blue green, pulling more sea foam green during the day, and blue at night. I highly recommend their company and the craftsmanship is perfect. Excellent customer satisfaction.

Very Disappointed
September 18, 2023

I recently ordered a velvet cushion for my bedroom window seat. Unfortunately, the velvet looks very cheap! The nap is nonexistent. The sheen is tacky looking, and it isn't even a true black. There is nothing "luxury" about this cushion.

Finally received order, damaged and poorly constructed seams

I have finally received my custom cushion order. There isn't a single straight stitch, unpuckered corner, parallel line, or even an ounce of quality to the construction. Seams are falling apart, scratches and scrapes on the surfaces of the cushions, and the measurements for the couch back are off by over 1.5", which makes them unusable. The chair backs are similarly off-measure, and the chair bottoms look comical with the oversized backs (like mushrooms).

It would behoove Cushion Source to help correct all of these defects sooner, rather than later, as I am about to start a formal complaint through my bank for them delivering incorrect, damaged, and poor quality goods compared to costs spent (>$2400).

After such an experience, I'm not sure I can recommend Cushion Source, and will update this review with their response and exactly how they tried to remedy all of these defects.

Poor Customer Service and General lack of communication

I placed my order over six weeks ago, with an anticipated ship date of today. When I called twice in the past to receive a status of the fabric order (to ensure it was placed in enough time to meet the ship date) as well as for a status of production (vinyl is a tricky fabric and I wanted to make sure it was on track), I was greet on the phone by one very rude service representative. The service rep was condescending and admonished me as you would a small child. The service rep declined to assist me on the phone except to state that "there was no assurance or guarantee that they would ship by today, it is an ESTIMATE," and further proceeded to speak to me in child-like tones as to my choice of fabric (vinyl). Honestly, if I didn't need the cushions I would contact Visa and lodge a serious complaint. This is the level of service you get for pre-paying over $2,400.00 for custom couch and seat cushions: CRAP.

Only 6 month warranty -
October 18, 2023

I purchased cushions in May 2022. After 1 summer of use, 3 months, they are no longer usable. After every rain, I would position the cushions to drain, as sunbrella is resistant to water but not waterproof. They began to hold water eventually and now they are permeated with very heavy ( 20 llbs or so) of water which I'm sure has begun to mold. They will not drain; they cannot be moved let along used. I contacted Cushion source, and they told me my 6-month warranty was up and other then draining - which does not work, I was on my own... Just want to prevent anyone else from making my mistake.

Great products!

I have used this service for numerous orders, over many years. All of the outdoor cushions they make for me last for ages. Every custom cushion I have ordered had been precise on size and shape no mistakes. The cording is done beautifully. The fabrics are high quality and so is the padding. They can be expensive, especially when you do custom shapes, but they produce a high quality product. Very dependable, ethical company.

Company promised delivery of custom cushion by today. I checked with the tracking and its still have a country away. Poor communication with this client. Wouldn't use in the future for this express reason.

Expensive Cheap Cushions
October 17, 2020

I just received my replacement cushions after waiting weeks for them and spending over $350.00 for them. I am 64 years old and weigh 122 pounds. I sat down for 20 minutes and the foam is squashed down and I'm sitting in a crater. Horrible company. Horrible quality.

My 2nd order, first one black for outdoor furniture. Ordered a new set based on fabric sample from website. Delivered product wasn't even close to color on webpage, which showed black background. Like not within Yankee Stadium far apart. They said I should have 'ordered a sample'. Beware. Customer service SUX. Never again.

I ordered a custom cushion for a window seat and it came in 2" short. They claimed that my cushion would grow but it hasn't and they will not make it right. I believe they should remake my cushion to the measurements that I provided or give me a refund but they will not do either. I would not do business with a company that doesn't stand behind their product.

Plush cushions

We have 2 rockers from Frontgate and the cushions were thin and needed to be replaced. I found Cushion Source and placed an order for two Sumbrella replacement cushions. They arrived within days and the fit and look is amazing. It truly looks like I have custom cushions.

Couldn't reach agreement and left a bad impression

We bought 2 replacement cushions based on measurements of width, length, height and shape. Because the replacements' shape was not rounded exactly the same as the chairs
The cushions didn't fit correctly. We learned that we should have done a template, and reached agreement on a reasonable price quote for a second set of replacement cushions. We did the template and sent it in exactly as directed. When they called to say they were ready to accept payment, the price had almost doubled. I complained and was told that because there was a 1/4-1/2 inch adjustment required based on the template the price would be increased. I was taken by surprise because this possibility was never mentioned until we did the template and mailed it in. They said it was a quote, but it apparently was only an estimate. I offered what I thought was a reasonable compromise meeting halfway between the original price quote and the increased price. They refused to do anything but credit $20. So for what amounted to less than $15 they held their ground and lost the sale. We are left with cushions that don't fit, and a bad impression about their claims of priding themselves on superior customer service.

I just called yesterday to get a quote for three additional chair cushions. I was told that since this company had run out of the material that was used for my first order, I would have to wait until December to get the cushions made or purchase the material myself. The representative that I spoke with, did inform me that I could purchase the material, call back for a quote, and send the material to the company to finish my order. I called back today because I had not received the quote as promised. I spoke with a young lady who is either incompetent at her job or just can't count. She tried to convince me that by taking out the price of the material, my quote should basically be the same as the pricing with the material provided by the company because of a price hike in the foam provided. She then proceeded to add an additional $35.00 onto the price for a template that I'm not sending to them, but material that I purchased because, again, their company didn't have it in stock. Oh, that's not the best part. She told me that she was going to give me $50.00 off for my troubles. Really, after you added $35.00 onto the price. At this point, I'm done. Cushion Source won't get another penny from me. What the representative doesn't realize is that the pricing is supposed to be lower, through my quote because I'm not paying for the material through the company.

I custom ordered outdoor couch cushions based on some cushions I bought from Wayfair that were perfectly made by Cushion Source! They we're firm and tightly stuffed with high quality comfortable foam and batting with Sunbrella material.
I spent 265.00 for the exact same material and foam and expected the same quality and comfort. It was far from it.

I was under the impression I had a year guarantee... not so... only 6 months for the foam and batting. There's a reason for that... because that's how long they will last and it's 160.00 to restuff the material by Cushion Source, so I was so rudely told by the rep.

This product is inferior and not worth the huge price tag and I purchased 5 inch thick and the highest quality of stuffing Cushion Source provides. They came loosely filled although the material was exactly the deminsions I ordered.

Customer service rep was rude, condescending and will find a reason to admonish you like a child... because they can. A solution could not be reached except for me to pay shipping and have the material sent and restuffed for their " cost" of 80.00 bucks. I merely needed some extra stuffing to take up the space of all the loose fabric.

These cushions are only used 6 months out of the year and are now completely uncomfortable and worthless.

I will never, ever do business with this company again for their false advertising and pricey low quality product.

UPDATE: After I posted this review the owner of Cushion Source personally called me. He was not only genuinely concerned about the way I was treated by his employees but also wanted to correct and take care of the product I ordered.
Since I had already taken these cushions to a local upholstery business to be restuffed, he offered to pay that cost.

Indeed he did! I am very impressed with the integrity of this business! I understand that mistakes happen and he certainly stepped up to take care of business and correct the mistake. That's all any consumer could ask for!

Thank you Gerry Monroe for caring about your consumer. Your business integrity is a breath of fresh air.

My cushions are awesome now!
