I joined for 30 days free, I love my first package so much, I couldn't return it. So I purchased them I got so many compliments on my jacket, love the colors. Great quality, I was just notified my next box is being prepped. Can't wait to see what inside!

Meh
May 17, 2017

I was a member of Gwynnie Bee a few years back, and I was very impressed. I always had a new outfit on hand to wear, and the service was very affordable. Even so, I went through some hard financial times so I eventually needed to cancel my membership, which I was able to (easily) do online. Fast forward to this year. I decided to re-sign up. Turnaround times now are AWFUL. I mark items as returned and it takes them several days to release new items to me even through I have well over 60 things closeted. The monthly membership fee for 2 items is nearly $75... more than double what I was paying a few years back. The sizing is all wrong. I have only gotten an item on 1 occasion that actually fit well enough to wear out -- out of more than 4 months of membership. I tried to cancel my membership online, but they no longer allow you to do that, so you HAVE to call and talk to someone who will fiercely try to talk you out of cancelling. This is incredibly annoying. And the kicker... if you cancel mid-month, you lose the rest of your month's membership. That's RIDICULOUS. If I paid for the entire month, there is no reason you can't keep my membership open for the rest of my paid period. So now I have to pay for 3 1/2 weeks of membership that I didn't get to use. Absurd. They really need to review and change some of their business practices. This company was so good and went so bad in just a matter of years. It's sad, really.

Slipping
May 7, 2017

I was a huge fan of GB, but they really seem to be slippping. Turn around times are becoming worse and worse. I never get any of the newer items I closet. I am really quite disappointed as time goes on. I think I'll give it a little while longer. If things do not improve, I will cancel.

I've been a GB member for a couple of years and currently have the 3 items at a time plan. When I first signed up, I would usually get items in 3 to 5 days from the time I notified them of my return. I started using the App and now I scan the Barcode prior to mailing, however, it takes a minimum of 5 days, and some as long as 10 before I get my next box. It's very frustrating. Especially when I end up not liking something or it doesn't fit. I put it right back in the bag. I always have a minimum of 25 items in my closet, but usually more. For this reason I've been considering canceling my subscription.
The quality of most items is pretty good. I have received some things that were ratty though. You can really tell the items that have been around the block.
Customer service has been ok. Not horrible, but they're definitely not shooting for the 10.
Anytime there is some promotional thing like get money off if you refer or get so many points if you download and use the app, I have had to contact them. For the referrals I have always had to have the person I referred send in an email. It's a pain and the referral program is obviously flawed.
I do like having a variety of clothes and this has allowed me to go out of my comfort zone to experiment with things I would never had bought.

No satisfaction!
April 24, 2017

Today was my 3rd attempt to cancel this service and get a refund. Although their website now clearly states that this is a "rental" clothing service, when I signed up a year ago, I did not understand how this works - partly my fault, I think. However, I have called AGAIN and have been told no supervisor was available and the Customer Svc rep cannot refund anything without their approval. Supervisors conveniently off or sick/unavailable. She (name is Sheyna) was actually very helpful but they have been charging my PayPal account for over a year, to the tune of over $1,200! I currently have one garment in my possession, which I thought I owned. Curiously, they have no record of my other call and only an email from me/them directing me to call to cancel. She offered to refund 4 months of my "subscription" and then did not get the authorization to do so. They have "no record" of receiving two other garments back and I was told to go to the post office to track it (these were sent back about a year ago!) Too funny but NOT funny because they have $1,200 of mine! $1,200! DO NOT do business with them. My notices of PayPal payments were in a junk mail file and I rarely use the PayPal account so I missed this mess - also partly my fault. However, it should be EASY to cancel this service and it is not. What a shame - the one garment I liked was well-made. The other couple were very cheap and short. Buyer/ "subscriber" beware. This is a rip-off and very difficult to cancel as well as not clear what you're getting into. Again, this was not the Customer Svc's Reps fault as she tried hard to be helpful. Spread the word - Gwynnie Bee is a disreputable company.

Just saw all the negative reviews and I was stunned. I have been using Gwinnie Bee for 2 years now. I have a 3 at a time package and always have something new to wear. I wear once, maybe twice, and return immediately. I always return items using my app which scans the barcode and notifies Gwinnie bee that my items are heading back. I usually get a new item within 3-5 days which works great as I still have 2 more dresses to wear. Quality of the dresses have been fantastic. I find the service to be fun, I constantly am picking out new items to closet. You need to keep at least 20 items in your closet, but I was told that upfront, so not a big deal. I check the size chart to make sure the item will fit and read reviews from others. The only time things don't fit great is when I have gone down a size and forgot to change the size in my closet. I am a realtor and always am in front of clients. I love that I never brad to worry about what I wore last time I met them. I receive compliments all the time on my clothes. After adding up my yearly cost I have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars in purchase and dry cleaning cost. Please don't listen to the negative reviews. Follow the directions, return items using the app and keep at least 20 items in your closet. Have Fun and look fantastic!

Worst Company Ever
April 13, 2017

Today is the 11th of April and this company has failed to send me a refund or my 30 days trial items. I talked to several reps. The best they can do is to extend my next payment by five days. For something that hasn't even been mailed. I would like to rate the clothes but can't. Because they haven't been mailed. SUGGESTIONS: DON'T TRY THEM. SCAM...

***Update - I received one month's refund after posting this review***
They got one star only because you have to select a star to submit a review! I used only 3 items that were of very poor quality and rejected the next shipment. When I called they refused to issue a refund for the extra month I was billed! I basically paid $300 for use of 3 flimsy made blouses. Im so disappointed in their "retention" offers after I described my frustration of their charges. I would never use this service again, don't do it!

Major Scam!
March 15, 2017

I signed up for GwynnieBee in the spring of 2016. Had a blast, recommended every one that complimented my frequent rentals to check out the company. I returned four dresses in late July 2016 and never received the next items. I'll be honest, I kind of forgot about being a subscriber at that point because I had some family issues going on. Called on March 4th and canceled my account. The representative said I still had four items out that would need to be returned. I told her that they should have had those back months and months ago. She acted like it was no big deal and said, honestly things get lost in the warehouse all the time. We'll search for them and I'll let you know in 24-48 hours. So I went on my way, happy. 48 his later, I received an email saying that my ticket had been resolved. Great. Two weeks later, they billed me for the subscription service again. I called to complain, and the service rep told me the same line and dance from before. She then informed me that if they couldn't find the items, I would be billed over $400 for them. I asked for her manager and she refused. Called back immediately and am only being sent to voice mail repeatedly. This is ridiculous. I still have the tracking number for the shipment I sent back in July, which the terms and conditions of GB's site says absolves me of liability. We'll see.

Stay Away
February 24, 2017

I signed up for the trial membership and then stayed on a couple of months more. I cancelled after a couple of months as I thought the price was too high for 2 outfits. Mind you, that was 10 months ago. I haven't heard anything from them during this time and out of the blue, when I get my income tax refund back, they take out over $700.00! Are you kiddin' me? This is NOT OK! I certainly haven't had $700.00 worth of clothing these last 10 months! What really bothers me the most, is that they have my NEW bank account information that hadn't been release to anyone! Stay Away! They don't take "no" when you cancel.

I live in Chicago so pretty centrally located and it takes 8 days from the day I ship back to the day I receive IF my shopping closet is full. If your online closet isn't full, it'll take even longer. Some of the clothes have been drastically shrunk and are still in circulation. No recourse if you aren't happy and horribly small selection of clothes. Most of them I've seen at my local dept store. I've spoken with customer service a few times and they won't refund the last half of my unused subscription. Very consumer unfriendly.

They will let you purchase clothes form their Shop and then when you cancel your subscription 2 weeks later they will cancel your order. They have no intentions of sending you your Shop order unless you keep paying them for the monthly subscription. They are not clear about this when you are ordering either. You cannot reason with customer service either, because they simply do not care about the customer.

I started using Gwynnie Bee about three months ago, and have loved the service so far! I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews because that has not been my experience at all! First of all, I really like the concept -- renting clothes so that you can try lots of new outfits without having to commit to owning them. I get excited every time I see there is a new package coming my way! I think the clothing rental concept is great, especially if you are trying to lose weight and don't want to invest in buying a lot of clothes. I have found the shipping to be quite fast... I have returned items and then received new ones within about 5 days. All of the clothes I have received have fit me, so I find the size charts to be quite accurate. I have not received a lot of the outfits that I marked as "priorities," maybe two over the course of the three months, but most outfits I have liked. If I were to have any complaints, it would be that it's a bit expensive... I pay about $72/month for two clothing articles at a time, though that ends up being around four-six new outfits/month and shipping is always free, so it's really not so bad. One piece of advice I would give users is to make sure that what you have in your closet is what you want. I have seen complaints about them sending pieces that are not in season. Just remember that if an item is in your closet, it's fair game no matter what the time of year, so curate your closet frequently and put any out-of-season items that you might want later "on-hold." Overall, I'm very pleased with this service and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have some fun with their wardrobe!

So like some other reviewers, I had a few unpleasant run ins with customer service this past year. Once, they took over a week to ship new clothes because they said I hadn't returned my last clothes. They took a while to update my email address, and once or twice they made a mistake and blamed it on me. Luckily, both times, they reviewed their records and apologized for their error and rushed me new dresses--they're a small company, so I don't expect perfection, just honest answers and a best effort to make things right. Oh, and once I washed a dress I paid around $70 for and the colors bled, and they refused to compensate me because they said I should try before I buy--now I know that includes washing, and not to trust their care labels.

Unlike some other customers, I've never had an issue with ratty clothes. Some of the items are a little on the cheap side, but you can pretty much tell which garments are high quality from the photos, and there is a decent variety on spectrum from $20 dresses to maybe $200 tops. Once, only once, I got a dress with a funky odor, but overall, I'm pleased with the condition.

Lastly, about the turnaround time, it can take several days for them to ship. I don't know, but I suspect they hold out to ship a few dresses at once to cut cost. I thought about leaving the service over the turn around time, but when I thought about it, and after they made an effort to make good on some of my customer service issues, I went ahead and upgraded to the most expensive plan. It's worth the $200 a month for me. I literally wear a new outfit every single day, and for the first time in my life, I'm a total fashion plate. Everyone raves about my beautiful dresses, and my coworkers and students look forward to what I'll wear next. The service is a lot of fun, and I've learned a lot about what looks work for me by trying outfits I would never have bought before.

So if you're willing to go in for the best plan, you can use Gwynnie Bee as your entire wardrobe at almost any size. The sizes are not inaccurate. You have to take the time to read the size chart for each outfit, and it is very accurate. Buy a measuring tape, and you're good to go. But if you're opting for a smaller plan, don't expect do get turnaround several times a week. Buy some anchor pieces and enjoy the service for a fun addition. It's not super reasonable to expect to have a complete wardrobe for $50 a month. I could never afford a wardrobe this varied if I had to buy the individual pieces.

I love the service, and I hope the company continues to grow bc it's a great option for ladies with a little meat on our bones! If you're sick of wearing black and brown all the time, seriously, check it out.

I have used Gwynniebee off and on for a few years. I agree with many other reviewers who have said that the shipping times have lengthened in the past year or so. Oddly, I think it's ever since they moved to Ohio. You would think it would be faster from there because it's more central. Not sure if it's advertised this way anymore, but they used to advertise 2-day shipping. The problem is that they don't always prepare your box until they receive your last box and they don't use 2-day shipping on the return bags. The woman I spoke with when cancelling my membership said that part of the reason they take a long time to get things to me is that the system is showing I still have items out... I don't see how this is my fault since I don't mark things as returned until I have dropped them at the US mail in a blue box. I live in Illinois, which is fairly close to Ohio, so I think their problem is actually with US Mail... Also, when they say 'we've started prepping your next box, it often still takes 5 or more days to reach you because they have processing time before the shipping time. You will see right on their site 'shipping label created' and they won't actually ship it for days more... anyway, because of the long turnaround time, you would need to order the high volume memberships to always have a variety of things from GB checked out. A couple of other gripes: they no longer allow you to cancel online. I think any subscription service that allows you to subscribe online should be required to allow you to cancel online. Also, I used to regularly get item upgrades and I haven't gotten one at all since I moved to Illinois and resubscribed.

Un-BEE-lievable
December 14, 2016

I got a new job and had to dress up everyday, so I joined GB to have a variety of clothing at my disposal. I was receiving clothing frequently for a few months and on May 1,2016 I received my last package. I returned the item on May 15th. My closet was full and I received NO garments since May 15th, but in October, I checked my credit card and there was a $501 charge. I IMMEDIATELY called GB and asked how they charged me that large amount when I received no clothing. The rep stated that I was delinquent and I didn't pay. I stated that was untrue, but if it were true why on earth has no one contacted me via email or postal mail to resolve the matter. The rep had no answer. I even sent a screen shot of my history from their own website to show them that I received no clothing from May until they out of the blue sent me a package in October. I tried to resolve this with Gwynnie Bee, but they were not trying to hear where I was coming from. I repeatedly stated that if I were receiving clothing and using the service, I would not mind paying, but to wait 5 and a half months and then charge my account $501, that was unacceptable. I have repealed the charge with Capital One. The concept of the service is nice, but the execution is off. Buyer beware!

So far so good
November 26, 2016

Loving the concept of always having new clothes to wear without commitment. I get to try new things out of my normal comfort zone with the option to buy. Shipping does seem a little slow and some garments are out of season or my size is not available. Great to have reviews from real people helps making fashion decisions easier. I also like being able to purchase items especially in clearance for sometimes as little as $7.

Love it!
November 21, 2016

I love not having to buy clothes as my weight fluctuates up and down, plus they are really nice clothes and not cheap. I don't love every single thing that comes in and they do not expect me to so I put it in the bag and back it goes. I did have one aggravating issue when I tried to purchase an item and I would not recommend to email their customer service but I did call after I was unsatisfied with the response thru email and the lady that answered could not have been nicer and helped me figure out the issue and I was able to correct it. I have a full closet and add to it every week. If you work and your in an office this totally works... even their casual items I wear on dress down days and weekends, you can't go wrong but that is my personal opinion.

So, I've decided to give Gwynnie Bee a second chance. I cancel once after the trial and then came back. However this time, I think I may cancel for good. The huge problem that I see is that Gwynnie Bee is really behind in there clothing being caught with the season. For example, being that this is Fall-Winter... we should be seeing more of such and not a bunch of sheer spring and summer items still around as well as summer prints. It kind of spoils the mood. I think this time I may cancel for good unless they change this!

A mess
November 12, 2016

I ordered and received KLOEY PAISLEY PRINT BLOUSE IN RED. I thought it looked really cute and the color and tapering would fit me perfectly. I ordered the smallest size 10. The top hung on me like a sack. To make matters worse, the fabric was flimsy and thin with no body to it as if it's been washed a hundred times. This looked like a top you would find in a second rate resale store. This should've been thrown away months ago. Good job Gwynnie Bee - to send a brand new customer a piece of trash. I canceled my free trial right away, sent your rag back and hope no one else gets excited about a new outfit that will be sorely lacking in everything.
