Quick and easy search for flights. I'd use again and again and have recommended to my friends. I compared with other sites and found theirs had the best deals.
This is the worst website to buy tickets from. My friend had a flight today to curacao but the name on the ticket was missing a letter. We made numerous calls and was told that it would take 5 days to correct the name on the ticket. We were told to Go to the airport to see what the airline could do to help. When we got to the airport the airline said that its nothing they could do and i had to contact cheapOair. I was told by cheapOair that they cant do anything to help. To make a long story short. I was denied on the flight and have lost $700.00 ticket through cheapOair.
Everything was so very good on my trip to El Salvador. I can't believe how happy I am for the deal I just find it on cheap websites.
They add extra charges. They also changed my days I put in when I wanted to fly and charged me $80 more to get my correct flight. When I called the customer service are rude and cut you off without explamination. Don't book here!

I've been reading all these negative reviews and felt compelled to write my own. I've never been disappointed with cheapoair. I've used them many times over the last few years for international flights and everything has gone smoothly. Granted, I've never had a problem that had to be solved... and that is a testimony in itself as to how smoothly run everything has been. So thanks cheapoair!
I've use CheapOAir a few time. By the 3rd x I had enough. Its not worth the headache when an issue arrive. GO to any other booking site beside this one.

This is one of the worst websites, where people are sitting behind desks monitoring each and every step and call you instantly. The price they show on the website is just to collect your information, once you go to checkout they will tell that that flight is no longer available. I believe they will sear flights in Expedia or some other websites and make a reservation through phone.
Terrible experience. Be very careful with what you book. 1 stop over is actually 2 stops. And be careful with the airport information. When you book a roundtrip flight, you don't land/depart from the same airport; I am not sure how that can be called a roundtrip? Terrible customer service, very dishonest and unprofessional. They want me to take up the issue with the airline. Why go through them when I should just call the airline. There is a reason why their site is called CheapOair.

So I tried to book a flight with them. Initially showed me a price of $1300. So I went ahead to book and once I entered my credit card details, they changed the price to $4000.

Booked a one-way flight at a lower than market price, just a few days out. Upon getting the confirmation email, they plugged in a date a week later! No problem I thought, with the one-hour cancellation assurance. They transferred me to 3 different people across India, until the hour had expired! Yep, I called in within 15 minutes, yet they played with me on the phone for 50 more minutes, until time had expired. Had to call credit card company to perform a merchant charge back on my Visa. Not cool
Donald, you chose an alternate date or flexible date for a cheaper fare that we offered on the screen. If we have a fare that is cheaper, we will always display those dates first, and you must be aware of the dates displayed on your screen prior to purchasing. Also, there is no 1 hour cancellation assurance, so not sure if this is a booking with us, or some other site. But we forward 2 emails to you with all your flight information, you have upto 24 hours to call and cancel, or make changes if the itin, does not work for you, and you will receive a refund. If you call within the first 4 hours of making the reservation you can also cancel with no cancel fee, but air fare difference will be applicable. If you call after the 4 hours but upto 24 hours, you can still cancel for a refund, less a $25.00 cancel fee. So the 1 hour that it took to cancel, you still had plenty of time to cancel and get your refund, unless this was an 1 hour before departure, then all the above polices would be null and void and airline rules apply. In order to assist you better, we need the 8 digit booking number which you can submit to sm@cheapoair.com along with this complaint. Our apologies for any inconvenience.
I find it really disgusting that the company is displaying such poor customer service that I am starting to doubt the integrity of the organization and I am beginning to conclude that this is an elaborate scam that many of its customers fall for. I have complained several times made calls, sent e-mails yet every time, someone assures me that this will be sorted out shortly, this is almost 5 months and I am still are getting all sorts of ridiculous excuses not to pay me back.
Last e-mail (see below) I received from on 21 January said it said someone would contact me in 72 hours. It is now 11 days and no one has had the courtesy to contact me.
This stinks. I just want my refund. I have invested so much time and money calling and still have not got my issue resolved...

The airline had a schedule change in which the customer didn't accept. The airline offered to refund his ticket, and that's where the delay is, with the airline. Although you book through us, and pay us, the money is sent to the airline to pay for the ticket, so the money has to come back from that airline. We have spoken once again to the airline this week, and they required more information. We do apologies for the delay in the refund, and are trying our best to get it processed.
I have to travel back and forth from Puerto Rico to Florida every month in business and cheap O air always gives me the best deals. I always have a good experience.
I have used CheapO air several times and it has always been easy and a good experience overall. And from the searches I do at the time, it seems like they have the cheapest prices.
I bought a ticket on CheapOAir and paid with PayPal FUNDS. They did a pre-authorizaion for the amount (approx 1000 USD - with over 5000 USD funds int he account). More than enough. THen they cannot fetch/claim the payment saying "credit card declined". They wanted my creditcard details too. NO WAY. If I pay with paypal FUNDS there is NO creditcard involved. The biggests error and I called in total for 3-4 hours with PayPal and cheapOair. Paypal clearly told me (and also cheapOair in a conference call) that the problem is with cheapOair and they simply need to complete the transaction. NOTHING was declined from my end NOR paypal.
So if you need an airline ticket; don't use cheapOair as you'll get into trouble and spend lots of time.
CheapOAir tries to blame all on me and not admitting their mistake. In the meantime booked the tickets (also through PayPal) through another OTA and got e-tickets after 8! Minutes.

I tried to buy a ticket on their site to take a trip home to Memphis, Tennessee, and my card was declined, even though it has enough money on. Okay, no big deal. So I used a different website instead. Come to find out Cheapoair.com charged my card any way even though they said it was declined and never sent me my ticket information. Now they refuse to do anything about it and say that it's impossible for their website to even have done that.

Yes your creditcard was declined, however, when you received the email notification with the options, you updated the credit card which authorized us to continue with the purchase. You booked another reservation with priceline without contacting us to cancel. We are working with the airline to get our booking refunded due to have 2 identical bookings. I recently booked a flight through Cheapoair only to have to cancel a few days later. I spoke with a customer service rep and he took me through their cancellation policy. He said that the total amount would be put back on my credit card except for a $50 cancelation fee. I understood the penalty and was fine with this.
A few weeks later I see an additional $28 charge on my credit card statement and so call them back up and am told this is for non refundable fees and taxes. The man I originally spoke with never said anything about this to me - he only told me about the $50.
I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to speak with a supervisor. The representative said no one was there now and he would have someone call me the next day. Still haven't heard from anyone.
It's been a month and I see that they disputed with my credit card company. I am in an ongoing battle with them which is such a waste of my time and energy.

Olivia, very sorry for your recent booking experience. The charges have been discussed with you, and the original $28.00 was from the purchase which is our non refundable service fee. When the agent advised you would get a full refund, it was for the cost of the plane tickets, which the conversation seems to been some miscommunication.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!

Nick, in order to determine exactly what took place, we would need your booking number. But all the stops are actually included in all the flight details on the website, and also displayed on your confirmation. 1 stop isn't actually 2 stops, unless you booked a flight that had 2 stops, also departing and landing in different airports, it sounds like you booked nearby airports, and didn't realize this when you selected the flights. It is considered a round trip if you went in and out of the same city but at a nearby airport such as JFK vs LGA. You have upto 24 hours from the purchase date to call us with any issues regarding the flights, after that, the tickets are non refundable, and all change fees, and air fare cost to make the change will be applicable.
