The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly platform and competitive pricing, with many customers praising the efficiency of the booking process and the helpfulness of customer service representatives. However, some concerns have been raised regarding communication issues, particularly related to flight changes and refunds, leading to frustration among users. While the majority of feedback highlights a positive experience, instances of delayed support and difficulties in correcting booking errors suggest areas for improvement. Overall, the company is viewed as a reliable option for budget-conscious travelers, yet it must enhance its customer service responsiveness.

I booked a flight for my girlfriend I Paid with my Credit Card by phone and they EMAILED me the ticket with the booking NUMBER! When she arrived at the airport they said the ticket wasnt PAID! Then i called custermer service and the tell me there was and error on my credit card! WOW! Then i asked for the RUDE agents name (who couldnt understand) and she didnt want to give me her name, I guess its a mafia code! Nor would she let me talk to managment saying they would tell me the samething! Stay away from the MOB!
I enjoy having the cheap-o-air app because it's effective and easy to use. I use the promo codes whenever they're sent to me via email. I've never had any issues with cheap-o-air and I will continue to use it.
Booking my flight was easy my flight was on time and the seating was good my bags was taken care of with good care and I really enjoyed working with CheapOair
I booked the cheap flights and it also changed the date on me as well. A pure scam! I searched for my dates to book my roundtrip flights and apparently the dates were automaticallly changed because I searched for a cheap flight? Well I booked the flights and just so happened to look over my itinerary a few days later and there are 2 totally different dates! Nonetheless they charrged me $90 to change the date smh I would NOT recommend
Customer service is so rude and hard understand. They are mean, and avoided my questions every time I called. I ended up paying $300 extra because they were too dumb to let me know that there is such a thing as stand by for only $75, they are a scam, who will refuse to help you in any way if you happen to have an emergency and change your flight by even an hour. Please please for your own well being so not use!
This organisation must be the worst ever. They print glowing reports from their customers on their site which must be fictitious at best. God help you if you have a query as they will confuse you to hell and back just to get you fed up with trying to get any sense from them. They adopt a policy of not refunding you the money they take from you to book a flight (e.g. £50) even if it is no fault of yours when the flight company (i. E. Thomas Cook) decide to cancel the flight altogether.
My advice is KEEP WELL CLEAR AT ALL COST and go direct with the airline concerned.
My daughter is 17. When I selected travellers the only ages for children is 1 to 11. So I guess the airline considers her an adult. During booking, it askes me to change her to child status, then when I book, it asks me to change her back to an adult, then back to a child, then back to an adult. That plus loosing all my search data 3 times. Im booking with Expedia. Dont waste your time. Huge hassle.
I have booked several flights to Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Bali, Manila etc and have gotten some great flight at really low prices in addition I am constantly changing my flights as I extend my stay on a regular basis and they were incredibly helpful.
My experience has been excellent and will continue to use them
My daughter is handicapped and after booking 4 flights with Cheapo and booked seating through them only to find out that it broke American Airlines rules to charge for seating when a handicapped person is in the party. After several (at least 5) to resolve this with Cheapo (which is not the best price), I not only got the runaround, I got hung up on twice, was told that I was emotional and was dismissed and hung up on yet once again. Still no refund. Don't use them. Check with the airline first.
Worst company ever. Booked the cheap price but it changed the dates. On the phone till 1 am with customer service trying to get a flight on my dates. They changed the airport to which I was flying to. Finally got mad and canceled the flight. They charged me $50 each flight for their scam. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS...
Glen, our apologies for the inconvenience,. It shows that you chose an alternate date that we displayed for a cheaper fare, and it appears you didn't notice this during the booking process. Also, there was a nearby airport that was also cheaper. We do display flights within 2-3 before or after your search if anything is cheaper to help keep the cost down. Some customers are flexible and do like the option to see cheaper fares. Without your booking number, I can't do anything about the $50.00 cancel fee, but if you contact us at sm@cheapoair.com with the number, we will certainly look into it.
Absolutely shocking... the WORST customer service ever when trying to buy tickets through the phone AND NOT ONLY THAT, was trying to buy tickets since 9 IN THE MORNING! It is not 6:00 pm and STILL having troubles buying these goddamn tickets... oh and btw, their flight tickets are completely false... have been trying to buy tickets that were $571 american which is still present on their site and they're telling me that they see a different price on their screen and am unable to buy the tickets i see?! When in fact, a representative that i talked to this morning said it was totally possible an drew the new representative that i'm talking to says it's not... and this isn't the only complications i'm having, there is WAY too many others and honestly, i'm too frustrated to type everything out... i just know i will never be using them again.
Recently I contacted Cheap O Air to book flights from Baltimore to Ft. Lauderdale and return for my wife and myself. I was surprised at the cost of the two tickets ($750) since the carrier (Spirit) has a reputation for affordable fares but supposed the costs had gone up recently. On-check in the attendant was flabbergasted by the price charged to us by Cheap O since their airline has no return flights in February between BWI and FLL that cost more than $150 ($300) for 2 seats. The attendant was a bit sympathetic about the size of the rip off but chastised me for using them given their wide reputation for overcharging. I swallowed my pride and took the admonition since blaming the victim seems to be the norm in todays world. After we returned I called the billing office of Cheap O and questioned the fact that I had been charged $450 more than the price Spirit would have charged if I had gone to them directly. They of course had no concern and totally laid the overcharge on me for having accepted the charge on line. I was not surprised that they felt no responsibility for the ludicrous deception (blame the victim). The purpose of this note is to make travelers aware of their business model and to offset the abundance of glowing reports of Cheap Os friendliness and concern for the traveler which appears in some of the other reviews. Bottom line -My Bad but dont believe all those glowing reports. Perhaps Cheat O would be a better corporate name.

I spoke to a CSR by phone to book a flight for my mom (who's visiting from Buffalo, NY) on February 20th for Monday, February 27 of 2017. He stated that there was a flight available in the morning that would depart at the 7 o'clock hour from JFK (NY) and she would arrive that same morning in Buffalo, NY at the 9 o'clock hour. The problem is the CSR that said he would book the flight for Monday morning had actually booked it for Sunday morning so I paid for a flight I DID NOT request, they're refusing to compensate me by putting my mom on the next flight available, nor have they offered a refund. If the conversations are recorded, someone should listen back and you can see that I never asked for a flight on Sunday morning but I agreed to Monday morning. Please help! I said over and over again that I DID NOT wish to book a flight anytime before 5pm Sunday. They still booked my flight for a time I didn't agree to.
Dear Queenella, very sorry to hear of the inconvenience. We have reviewed your complaint, as well as reviewed the phone calls between you and the agents. We found that there was no error on our part, and the date you agreed to was for Feb 26, at 7:00am due to the price. We did offer to send you the phone call so that you could review it, but you declined. Your mom still has an open ticket to use towards another booking. Just contact us back, and we will be glad to arrange for a new reservation.
Never book your flight with CheapOair be warned there is no guarantee that your flight is booked. No money back and you pay more money than at the airline itself. I missed my flight due to a travel document. I made the fight the next day. The airline would have changed my flight at a small fee. Because i booked with CheapOair I had to pay the full fare over again. I now understand that CheapOair not mean that their prices are Cheap but that they are "Cheap"
I booked my flight via app and it's been amazing! Everything that you need is there, super easy, fast and affordable! If you made a mistake you can just call them right away and that's it you're good to go. CheapOair has always been my go to whenever I needed a flight. So thank you so much!
Best price gaurentee FRAUD! It's been 1/2 a year over 60 emails and i still havent recived my money back! They even had the nerve to call me impatient! When i first contacted them they even thought I owed them money and said it was urgent, then when they realized they made a mistake and owed me money it was no longer urgent and here i am still waiting.
Booked a flight LAX to Maui RT. Received a confirmation by email. Checked with American and found that Cheapo never booked the flight but charged my credit card. Called Cheapo and lucked out because I checked in far enough in advanced so they were able to get the same flights after 40 min on hold. BUT... cheapo wanted me to pay the difference in the ticket which had gone up $200 for their mistake. WOW $$$ Will not use them again!
The options on the site are not available. Then you call an agent and they charge you more than what's on the site. Ended up getting a flight I didn't want, and was told it would cost an additional $89 from the price on the site for the correct tickets because I was switching flights. Ended up having to cancel and go charged $50 in less than 24 hours.
I think, it is the best site. The service of the product is really good. The quality of the product is good. I like this site.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
Answer: Provide the 8 digit booking number and what you need assistance with. Our apologies for the inconvenience
Answer: You can't and they will steal your money like what they did to me
Answer: Because they are scam, they just want to steal money from our pocket
