Chase have restricted my account without informing anything. I operate a small business and make payments to different vendors every week. Chase have shut down all activities and not releasing the money i have in the account. Every time I call at *******086 option 1, some foreign people picks up the call with heavy accent. They all provide misleading or unknow information. I have spoken to a Supervisor from Ohio as well, who was extremely rude and could not provide any more information than one of the foreign rep. I am really frustrated with their service and how they deal with Small Business. Being a large bank no one can do anything to them and that's why they treat people how ever they want to.
On-line I've been able to easily navigate their website and accomplish much. But beware of doing business in person the training is so inconsistent. I've waisted time and money meeting the requirements given to me from a bank official only to find out from another bank official ALL of the additional work (I paid an attorney to do) was not needed. I was doing regular business at a branch location where they didn't want my check to pay a Chase credit card payment instead they payed the bill from the checking account causing me an accounting nightmare. When I asked other bank associates about this type of transaction they said we do not recommend that type of payment. Good luck working with this company.
Their rates on savings are super low and they are extremely slow to replace hacked debit cards. When you call customer service they transfer you all over the place, and that is if they understand you since most of the people don't speak English.
This is by far the most difficult and disgusting bank their is. In my whole year of having this account open for going to direct deposit. To where now I work private care as a caregiver. So far two of my checks have been "flagged" one of those where from a multiply billion company called ever green. My second check now "flagged" is from my clients that are 93 years old and suffering dementia. There son is their POA which provides us our weekly pay checks. They said it's flagged because they can't talk to two 93 year old demintia people. But won't even talk to their POA who has all the proof he needs. Literally absolutely disgusting. Hope this company fails as now I get to struggle longer and figure out how to feed four kids and tell them why they won't get not even one present this year due to this crappy bank.
ZERO STARTS. WILL NOT EVER USE THIS BANK. They are so disorganized and their departments don't communicate. They wasted my time and money with their incompetence. I paid off my account. Without notifying me or showing up on my account, customer service said my account isn't paid off due to $1. I paid the $1 over the phone. Then, they send me a check for $1. I deposit the check and my bank charges me $12 for an insufficient funds fee. I call chase and they said they put a stop payment on the check that they sent by accident. Now I need to waste more time dealing with these idiots to get another check due to their incompetence. What a bunch of fools.
So after screwed up money transfer (I called them ahead to and transferred money to my own another account), after blocking the credit card for uber leaving me stranded... They just really are dedicated to destroy its customer - I can't use the named credit card for uber - so I used my debit card... Hurray was short lived - only few days. Chase blocked the uber payment of 19$, send txt msg - which I instantly answered - that yes I am paying uber the 19$.
Chase regardless... blocked the payment reliable on the ground of "fraud suspicion"
Really regretting being unfortunate customer. Counting days i can close everything and open elsewhere
Chase is the worst bank I've ever used. I transferred some $ to a different account (outside of Chase) & after authentication, they claimed there was an issue. They looked my out of the account & then when I called them, they had me go thru hoops (code sent via text, phone call I answered). The last verification question was the name of my 1st mortgage lender which I used 21 years ago. After I failed that, they couldn't provide me with another question. They transferred me to a few more people, with no luck. Finally they transferred me to another Chase customer. Ridiculous. They make everything so difficult for a $1000.00 transfer. Don't use them - you'll regret it.
I have been a Chase customer for probably 20 years now. I was with Washington Mutual but it got acquired by Chase in the aftermath of the 2000 financial meltdown. I have since had two checking account, one "saving" account, debit cards, and a couple of credit cards. Lately I have moved most of my assets to Capital One instead since they offer far far far better interest rates and customer service.
Chase customer service is horrific. This week there was a problem with one of our credit cards not showing up in the account overview online. I had to wait over an hour on hold with customer service, and then was diverted to one person after the other. Eventually, after spending the better part of an evening on this, it was resolved.
Hello everyone I recommend you do your research on chase bank before signing up. I went to deposit my rent money and the atm malfunctioned and stole my rent money, now I got all sorts of late fees and chase as of today still hasn't done anything to help me. My money was stolen Sunday. It is now Wednesday and they still haven't a thing to help me out. I called in this morning to get an update and they just don't care! I'm going through emotional stress and damage, and what their worried about is me being professional, after they legally robbed me and I can't do a damn thing!
Chase $#*!ing sucks I can't even bro I ordered a card 15 days ago and it still hasn't come. This company is nothing but LIARS. They are FRAUD. They lied that I would get a new card rushed no charge. Now they charge me and won't reverse the fee. $#*!ing morons.
They close and restrict accounts for no reason They will not answer the phone. The branch managers are not able to contact other departments within Chase. They insist that you take a day off from school or work to sit at a branch location to wait over an hour on the phone.
I've had a Chase checking account for nearly four years and I've had ongoing problems with viewing my monthly transactions online. Three times a previously functioning username and password suddenly stopped functioning, which in every instance Chase attributed to my computer server, when clearly the problem was on their side and took me hours to adjust. Now it has happened a fourth time, after having used my current username and password for a year and a half, and again Chase is blaming the problem
Which is still not repaired on my computer. I have nearly $300,000 in my checking account, which of course draws no interest, and I would quickly abandon Chase were it not for the fact that they are responsible for several automatic payments, such as my car, health club, and so on. I am not sure which big bank I would suggest, but I do know that Chase is highly inefficient technically and in their customer service, and I lan to collect my money and abandon them as soon as I can.
Chase has been able not only once but four times write my address incorrectly. Leading to me never receiving my Amazon credit card and me closing the account. Incompetent, unfriendly, unable to meet basic needs, and unable to communicate effectively
About two months ago I encountered a fraud / identity theft issue with Chase Bank. I spoke to 4 different departments within Chase and was confident that the proper issues were handled under identity theft. Wrong nothing was filed within Chase. Since then speaking to different departments has proven pointless and accessing the proper documents to support my claim and enable me to file identity theft with my insurance company has reached dead ends. Chase is at fault as to the way things transpired with the identity theft and the way they issued "reversals" on my account. I have filed a complaint with CFPB who in turn gave it to the FDIC for investigation. An independent public firm is also involved to investigate Chase and potentially questionable business practices. My end opinion is Chase does not care in the least about their customers.
My father passed away 5 weeks ago and had a teeny account with Chase. I went into my local branch to collect along with an original death certificate.
They directed me to another branch. I went to that branch today with the death certificate, my SS card, a piece of mail, my Medicare card, high school ID, college ID and health insurance card.
They would accept none of those. They will only take a passport or non drivers license.
As I walked out I made it clear that my father had accounts in far greater sums, and all I had to do was mail in a death certificate and the accounts were transferred to my name.
I would never do business with this bank ever again. I am working far far too hard just to collect a paltry $ 333.
Boo!
It's upsetting to me as a Chase client for MANY yrs that during the hardest time in my life. I was charged overdraft fees for paying bills such as, electricity, insurance, etc. It really would have been nice to know that at least your bank had your back. Past 2yrs have been so stressful and overwhelming. It was so hard to survive.
This is one of the worst bank I have come across.
When I speak to customer services or any staff they don't even understand basic English. I'm done with CHASE. DO NOT even bother opening an account with them. I wouldn't be surprised if they are running this from the basement of their house.
Absolutely unprofessional.
For every payment they want to know who has sent the payment? They want their address, date of birth, and other personal information which goes against the GDPR and all this for someone who is already making the payment and it's the same name, same account, and it's not even a £100
I try to speak to them but they had no answer instead they forgot to put the phone on mute and I could literally hear everything they were saying...
Unbelievably unprofessional.
You wouldn't think this is a bank...
Chase closed our account after doing 2 x payments to overseas trusted accounts. There was no discussion allowed and would not give any reason. Chase said they don't have to give an explanation and will there be anything else...Goodbye!. We are lost for words as this would be the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen done in business...**** Do not use Chase Bank as we cannot access our money now and lost $12K as they would not listen to us at all!
So they say they have around the clock customer service. Which is only sort of true. They have a call center in the Phillipines that answers the phone and can ONLY send you a new card. If you need an approval for a purchase, identity theft issues, account questions, they route you to the states and they're only open from 7-10. So if you're traveling and something happens, you're screwed. If they didn't partner with my hotel rewards, I'd never use them again.
I've been a customer since WaMu went out of business and my account got transferred into a Chase account. The service is excellent and the mobile apps work great. I can deposit checks via the app and so save many trips to the bank. One thing I don't like that much are the fees for incoming wire fees. WaMu didn't charge and outgoing wire fees were very low, even for foreign wires.
Answer: Offered as a finance for auto loan... I am seriously thinking of changing banks..
Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
Chase has a rating of 1.4 stars from 504 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Chase most frequently mention customer service, credit card and bank account. Chase ranks 294th among Banking sites.
