I spoke with a sales representative at CARiD and inquired about purchasing a set of wheels. I asked him the lead time as my current set was badly damaged and I needed them as soon as possible. The representative misrepresented the lead time as a result the wheels didn't arrive for three weeks.
After I received the wheels and mounted them the car was vibrating a lot so I decided to take them to a shop to have the balance checked. All four tires were way out of balance and one wheel was defective. I was very surprised to find that one of the new wheels from CARiD was defective so I called them about this issue and here is where the scam is:
The representative told me to get a RunOut report done, a report that almost nobody does, and then send the wheel back to them and they will replaced. I DON'T KNOW WHO HAS SPARE WHEELS LYING AROUND BUT THAT WAS HIS SUGGESTION. He then said once they received the wheel it would be tested and if found that it is defective replaced. I let the representative speak with the technician doing the balance and he explained the issue but that was not good enough.
LONG story short I worked with a shop SPECIAL RIMS, INC and they warranted the wheel even though I had not purchased it from them. It was sent back to KMC for a credit and now my car rides beautifully.
Do yourself a favor and find a local place to purchase your wheels because CARiD is the absolute worst. I have read other reviews where after receiving the faulty wheel they deemed it fine and charged the customer for the extra wheel. POOR POOR POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES.
The customer service was a great deal of help the agent sent me a link so I could order when I was ready the floor mats were just as described my son will be pleased thanks CarID.

I seldom if ever write reviews but felt an obligation to warn others. Truth be told i would have given 1 star but always felt no one ever reads the one star ratings as they suspect it's just another angry/uptight consumer wanting to vent. This is not the case with me. I haven't even received my order yet so i can only speak for the order process. I placed my order on the 3rd, got an ship date of the 4th, then the 5th, then the 6th, then the 7th - so I called to see what the deal was. A really nice lady "Wendy" sounded very concerned when i explained what happened she put me on hold for a few minutes then came back apologized again, told me she spoke to the manufacturer and assured me my order was going out that day and that i should expect an email with tracking # in 20 minutes or so. I logged in today to check the status because I hadn't received my tracking # email as promised and today it says ship date of the 11th? IT seems every new day is the new ship date?
Was assisted by a fantastic young lady with a eastern european accent, sorry but i forgot her name. She quickly had the proper item for my vehicle found and explained the policies including returns in full dtail. A fast and painless transaction. CARiD is a relief after searching for parts online.
Every other site seems to simply be a Mopar middleman who doesn't really know what part I need.
I'm constantly amazed that CARiD not only seems to understand what I need in addition to what I want and generally offers me several options to serve my needs that are invariably less expensive than anything available on those other 'mopar database' sites.
I can't comment on how well they handle returns or what their customer service is like as I've yet to have to deal with either of those things due to how smoothly have gone with my purchases from them thus far.

Initially I was really concerned because it was a small package that could easily fit into a padded envelope but that would've made it easy to receive my item broken, thankfully they shipped my item in a secure box with padding for protection. I bought a set of rotifom rims the first thing was they said they shipped immediately they lied second they arrived on March 12 and the order was made in February 22 then the big fail the rims had scratches and the tires where the wrong fitment so I proceed to ask for a refund or a return 1St thing they said was we can't accept return stupid thing they supposed have people inspect the products before sending so I asked why they sended scratch product they said it was human error there customer services sucks by this date April 10 2016 I'm still waiting on my refund so think it twice to buy stuff here or good luck if you buy and you want warranty or a refund
I looked around for a ford focus regulator but I needed it with in 4 to 5 days. I looked all over and the best everyone could do is a week then I called Car ID they said it would come with in 4 days and it arrived around 7 am after the 4 days. The part was identical to the other one and work flawlessly. I would recommend them to everyone.
I currently purchased a rim and tire package. Supposedly they come balanced and ready. They said just put them on and go. I put them on and when I go over 50 mph the car shakes alot. I took it to tire kingdom and the balance was way off. They Rebalanced the tires and the car still shakes. I went back to tire kingdom with a checklist that car id provided to make sure everything was done right. The car still shakes. We uncovered in tire kingdom. That the tires are defective. When I called them back they said no refunds on wheel and tire packages. I understand that and it would be ok if they sent me wheels and tires that work properly. I am extremely disappointed and my story might end up in the news. I don't want anyone else to go through this.

I have been pricing shock assemblies for my Subaru Outback for awhile, found these on CarID for the lowest price when searching so I got all four. I bought a 2006 toyota tundra to haul our furnature and things with, the key fob was just about shot! I looked at CARid's site and found a new key fob with new silicone buttons and all I had to do is transfer the circuit board with battery and I was back in business!
