Very deceiving website... at no stage I was presented or offered the insurance, but they shoved it to you after you pay?! (I thought the insurance was optional). When I cancelled the deal, I was charged about £24 for using the website? (administration fees?) - incredible!
Time to take severe action with this scammers:
1) Contact the ASA (Advertising Standard Authority)
2) Contact the ActionFraud website (Police)
Don't just put up... these scammers need to get chased and punished - stop ruining people's holidays!
I needed a space wagon because of students move. The people arranged exactly what I needed, explaining very well everything about the car and procedures. It's good to feel safe in a country you never drove before. Thank you all for your assistance
Going to Rome, Italy, we paid extra for out of hours service. Yet, when we arrived to the local provider counter it was closed. Tried calling Carflexi customer support with no answer.
We had to stay the night around Rome airport, on our own expense and then rent another car on our own because the local provider put us on no-show.
When asked for a refund from Carflexi, they refused claiming that we were 5 minutes late to the counter. All the above is fully documented in emails.
Rented a car to receive at Salalah airport Oman paid by credit card, upon the our arrival found the car does not meet our order (6 usable seats) as two rear seats were not usable. Rejected it and asked for the right car otherwise requested to cancel the order. So far struggling with them to get my money back, needless to mention that this incident ruined our holiday as a family plus caused stress, anxiety and sufferings of all of us.
I am extremely please with the service I received, I had an issue with charges made against my account through Internet connectivity issues. Through two very simple communications Carflexi quickly understood the situation and provided a full refund. Absolutely no concerns once they understood what happened.

They state that they don't charge a booking fee but then they do. It was more than the car I rented in South Africa. I have tried to get a refund but they tell you another story every time.
Every customer service agent there is guilty too, they all get paid to play you along. I written my loss off but I'm sure the chickens will come home to roost at some point.
I did a booking online. They charged their fee upfront (close to 10% of the total or $10) but the car company did not have cars available at the price this dodgy website advertised. They never returned the deposit and when I called the lady (with very poor english skills) pretended she couldnt hear me and just hanged up. Do not bother with this company.
I wish I could give a minus rating. Avoid if you want peace of mind. They show cars available at cheap price but none of the cars are available. The call centre is rude and give lectures on ‘common sense' on being questioned.

I booked a car with Carflexi online and paid required fee. At the airport, when picking up the car, it turned out that additional fee was required. The second fee was not mentioned before I made the booking. I used another rental company but never received back the initial payment. Looks like a scam to me...

Holidays in Malta with the worse experience with carflexi. They have charged me the non refunded fee for a service that I didn't use. Tried to complaint with the answer "that's is your problem madam". Spent two days of my holidays on the ph with them without a car at the end or any other solution. Went to other company instead!
Honestly say, this is very bad and unprofessional service. It destroyed out pleasant trip recently in Gold Coast. We booked the car online and filled all flight information and my contact detail. Because the airline delayed one hour, when we got out airport, there was no shuttle at such. I rang their service by using international toll call for more than one hour. No one answered the phone. They told me the phone transferred to operator and went to a circle. I had to take taxi to hotel. Because I had not used the rental car and I requested refund. This company has no telephone contact and only can get them through email. It is very very slow to response to email. It normally take a few days to get useless answer. And declined my request. Money is one thing and they tried to cheat customer and rip off customer.
PLEASE PLEASE take extremely care when you use their service. It looks save a few dollars, but in the end you can waste more money and time.

Booked a car in a rush. And didn't check confirmation email - which had wrong pickup and drop off time. When we arrived to the rental company, they told us that the car is not available and offered us a more expensive one. The clerk said that we were supposed to give them a deposit 1100€ because there was no insurance. Carflexi charged me for an extra insurance... the clerk showed me that they received 20€ from car flexi - I paid 100€ and also told me that this happens all the time.
He said that I can get a car directly through them with full insurance without paying the deposit. So we did.
I asked car flexi for some refund they told me that is all my mistake...
Advice for everyone, book a car directly with car renting companies to avoid issues and false promises form $#*!s like carflexi

Bad Experience
I rented and paid upfront online. When I arrived to my destination I discovered they gave me misleading/vague directions to where to where to pick up the car from. I spent a long time looking for the place, asking info and rental car companies to help me find it. I tried calling the 800 number many times with no luck then I had no choice but to rent another car from a different company. Upon my return to the US I contacted them regarding the issue, but did not hear from them back. When I called again they aid it was outside the dispute period and could not issue a refund. I tried with them different ways including accepting a credit towards my next rental, they refused. I travel very often and rent cars very often, but have never went through such a bad experience with other car rentals. My advice to all, there are many trusted options so do not get stock with this one.

Warning - CARFLEXI is a bad company, I do not recommend doing any business with them
Since I got hurt, I don't want more customers to get hurt,
I rented a car through CARFLEXI and made sure to purchase the maximum coverage package that would cover me in every event.
Unfortunately, the car I rented was damaged and I was charged by the rental company for the damage,
When I contacted CARFLEXI with the claim, they simply ignored me and did not agree to indemnify me for the claim, again despite the fact that I had purchased a full coverage package.
Warning - I do not recommend purchasing through CARFLEXI even the price is low.
I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from CarFlexi. After my flight was delayed, I called their customer service team to inform them and was told that my booking had been cancelled due to the delay. This left me stranded and searching for alternative options at the last minute, which was incredibly stressful and disruptive to my plans because I have a 2 year old daughter.
When I eventually managed to spoke to the actual rental company, Sicily by Car, they were surprised to hear that my booking had been cancelled and informed me that their office wasn't even closed - they were just on a break when I arrived. I felt misled and frustrated by the misinformation provided by CarFlexi, which caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted a lot of my time. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Paid a deposit that was supposedly to come off the rental fee at the Europcar desk in LA. Documentation sent by CarFlexi stated this only Europcar had no knowledge or correspondence to confirm such. Had to pay the full amount at the counter to uplift the rental vehicle.
CarFlexi could not/would not qualify what happened to the deposit stating only that it was not the car rental companies fault and no refunds were possible.
It appears, given the previous reviews, that this wholesaler acts in a criminal manner and should be looked into by authorities before further scams can be perpetrated on the unsuspecting.
Be Warned!
Carflexi are crooks in my view. I selected the service I wanted and proceeded to the payment page. I did not realise that they had charged me for excess protection which I didn't want or need. I have written to them on 5 occasions and they are hiding behind their standard response. It is clear that this is a tactic for them to make more money. I have even checked out my consumer rights and still they refuse to refund them. Don't use them
I do not recommend this service due to the use of hidden fees by the company. On the company's website, the entire search and registration history, up to its end, shows one rental amount. As a result, at the end of using the service (when I've already returned the car) the amount of payments withdrawn from the card is much higher and differs by 45-50%. Feedback with clear explanations is absent. Choose better cooperation directly with the car rental company, not through this service. So save your budget.
Do not use them! We payed quite expensive for a full insurance car rental and they never re-funded nor replied the several mails and Facebook posts. Go to their Facebook page and you will see that they are fake and that they do never reply no refund!
Hidden costs (they charged me 88,34 extra money), I booked a car for 7 am and even if it seemed available on the website, I didn't receive confirmation and when I arrived there was nothing there. I had to speak through the live chat (the phone number was not working) and they cancelled my booking and book another one for the day after at 9 am.
