I have held the Philippine driver's license as a foreigner for over 10 years. Nowhere did it state that they ONLY accept Professional Driver Licenses. The car was NOT handed over. Just keep the deposit. Both the contact person at the counter and the contact person on the voucher provided the information by email to request the refund. Declined! The Thai driver's license, also a member of the ASEAN countries, in English, was not accepted either. This is willful fraud.
I've been involved in a car accident, which I was liable for and the rental company (GreenMotion) has taken all the excess amount from me. Luckily for me I had insurance from CarFlexi I thought. However, even though I am continuously contacting them about the car reports, incident reports, repairing & such news I get from GreenMotion, they are taking forever to respond and providing a terrible support. I don't even know how to proceed, where do I need to send the documents and how do I start the process for claiming the excess amount, that CarFlexi claims they cover while taking your insurance money. Due to extremely slow replies (once every couple of weeks), it's already been 2 months and I still could not made the claim, which will be invalid after 3 months. I think CarFlexi is intentionally delaying customer support so that they can avoid paying me back my excess.

My rental experience with CarFlexi was just great. I got the best deal, and from far, during the high season. There were absolutely no hidden fees and when having to sort out a question, the staff acted very professionally. Thanks to CarFlexi for having been part of a great trip and vacations.
Joke of a third party service, with actual car rental companies not even knowing who they are.
Prices advertised on their website not truthful.
Pathetic customer service and a complete scam happy to take your deposit and leave you without a rental or subject to having to pay even more when at the actual rental dealership.

Carflexi sold me a rate for which I was not eligible. It ended up costing me an extra $100 at the Alamo counter to create a completely new reservation, and later Carflexi refused to refund the $57 deposit they charged me for a voucher I couldn't use.
I am an American living in Europe, and I found their rate when I searched for rental cars from Austria, but the rate required a non-US/Canadian drivers license. This was not mentioned when I signed up online or on the voucher, but they put it in the small print (Terms and Conditions). While they covered themselves legally, it is a very dishonest business practice, as this was no minor condition. I will never do business with Carflexi again and I would advise others to think twice before using them. You never know what other dishonest practices they use to swindle you out of your money.

The conditions of the rental show in every step of the booking process and it is important to check in order to finalize the request.
Since it is a major requirement to present an international license, the info about US/ CA driver’s license or US/ CA Passport owners show almost on the top of the terms.
Regretfully the down payment only is not refundable in this case as we had arranged this car rental for you.

I booked a car via this company nearly 3 months ago when I was in Abu Dhabi. I never received the car, this company has made all excuses trying to blame me for not presenting the correct documentation etc, all false. But they have kept my pre-payment for months now, latest reason is that they cannot contact the local car rental and therefore will not reimburse. In other words they cannot find any reason to keep my pre-payment, but they keep it anyway. A license to print money with no costs associated with it. Stay far away!
They deliberately hide their $2000 bond in the T &cs and your actual hire provider will provide a way better insurance rate for far less. I asked for a refund after having paid insurance twice due to their misleading ad and being floored by having to pay $2000 bond when I went to pick up my car, Do not use this company, they refused my request to refund insurance and in my opinion are a scam.

Regarding this case, we would like to inform you that the total price quoted online was NZD 93,39 including the value of Theft Damage Excess Protection.
In order to place the order, a part of the price is being charged online, in this case, it was NZD 52,75 and by confirmation of the order, the balance amount is written on the voucher, which remains and will be paid at the rental desk. The balance was NZD 40,64.
In case our customer wishes to do a change to his/her reservation, then he/she is able to do so online via "My Booking" zone or by contacting us. Our call center operates 24/7 for your convenience.
So online you may remove the protection of the excess in case you wish to be liable for the excess and must be arranged prior to the collection.

Pure rip-off. The car should be picked up at the airport, booked online in advance and a 3-digit deposit transferred in advance. Then I didn't get the car for no reason, the deposit was withheld, they didn't response my inquiries, something like that is called FRAUD. The positive reviews can only be bought. Unfortunately, these rip-offs get away with something like that. I can only recommend avoiding such dubious companies
I had a terrible experience with this company, as their service was lacking in both transparency and reliability. Upon arriving at Istanbul airport, I was forced to wait outside in the cold weather with my family while waiting for the car delivery, only to find out that I had to sign another contract with a local company with unusual terms. I strongly suggest using a reputable international company as they are more trustworthy than these local and lesser-known companies. I brought my grievances to the attention of the company, but they only shifted the blame to me. Despite this, I take responsibility for using their services and highly advise others to avoid using this company due to their poor customer service.

We rented a car from Verona airport Italy 7-26\08\24 with full insurance trough Carflexi, we got the car from Maggiore car rental and we were charged 1,500 euros more the what we were told in the agreement! We have the rental document stating the correct amount, including the full insurance payment and they still over charged us 1,500 euros more, not only did this ruin the end of our trip, they didn't respond to our demands of a refund, they ignore us, making us waist our time dealing with this nonsense and we feel like we were robbed in broad daylight! I DO NOT RECOMMENT THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE who wants an enjoyable end of trip. Hopefully we will get our 1,500 euros back, and a normal response as you would expect from a known rental company.
What a disgrace, they literally stole from our credit card 1,500 euros more when the whole rental deal was 636.28 euros.

Even though the rates might look good I lost more than 660 Euro through Carflexi.
I paid for two booking in South Africa which has to be cancelled due to Covid flight restrictions in Germany. Cancelations were made well in advance but Carflexi did not make any refunds. I am taking legal action, but to prevent a similar nightmare rather pay a few Euros more and use reputable company!
I would give zero stars if it was possible.

NEVER USE Carflexi - bunch of crooks and thieves. While they advertise no commission - in the end of the day there is and quite substantial- around 20% more! They just charge you for the prepayment, then you pay at the rental desk full price and never receive your prepayment back! Should be closed and banned by authorities!
Carflexi are absoulute crooks. I rented a car from them my voucher said 150 owed got to the rental and was told over 600. Contacted them they did nothing. Even emailed twice never heard anything back. I hope everyone does not use them and they go out of business.
This companys website is misleading and their customer services non-existent. When you try online chat option you will see they cannot even spell the word NAME!
The insurance damage excess is 850 and this comes through in an agreement you dont even see before you book. Ghastly.
Im opting out before I even travel. I tried to get the booking cancelled immediately because they swapped my dates around when I clicked confirm but theyve already taken £40.95 deposit and I dont suppose it will stop there.

After reading the negative reviews from all of CarFlexi customers, I feel so relieved that I did not proceed finalising my booking with them. I could really feel how upset and disappointed when our rental car is not available despite being confirmed and full payment is completed. It ruins our holiday mood and plan. That's not the way to do business for CarFlexi by ignoring the customers high and dry in a foreign land, it is indeed a SCAM.
I damaged a wheel in Karlsruhe trying to avoid an oncoming car & caught the corner of a kurb. Their policy clearly states: "driving off road or on unsealed roads, underside, damages to lights, mirrors, windows, any part of the wheels/wheel rim/tire," Not if you drive in a town, yet they use this not to pay out on the insurance. This is actually false representation & can be regarded as fraud.
A terrific service at the airport in Porto (Portugal). Essential conditions do not write on the voucher. They do not receive the usual credit cards. For a small car I would like to charge 300 for 6 days. Avoid this company
1- I waited for about 30 minutes in the 40+ degree heat to be picked up at the airport.
2- The car hire company was not located at the airport.
3- The car was given to me with 0% petrol in the tank, which caused me a great deal of stress in a foreign country as I had to locate a local petrol station.
4- I was indirectly coerced into purchasing comprehensive/full insurance for approximately 100 Euros.

As per a check we did in this case, we regret to see that you were not able to pickup the car that we had kept for you as you did not provide a credit card, which was required according to the terms and conditions of your reservation (below), but provided a prepaid card.
Payment:
The following credit cards are accepted:
American Express, Master / Eurocard, VISA.
Cash payment and Debit cards are not accepted.
A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental.
As our website is flexible, we accept debit, credit, prepaid cards and also PayPal for the online prepayment.
The balance that is written on the voucher is being charged directly by the local supplier, so in this case, the Payment policy is different.
Regretfully the down payment (€ 58,69) only is not refundable in this case and the balance amount written on your voucher (€ 111,12) will be not charged according to our cancellation policy.
