We made a reservation over Carflexi for Mytilene visit. In fact, a local agency there called Billy's Rentals rents cars through Alamo. He didn't give me a car because my license was old. We told him another friend there, who has a new driver's license, that we should rent the vehicle that was already available, but he said there was no vehicle. He referred us to another fraudulent company. As we hugging a snake that fell into the sea, we had to take the last remaining vehicle at an exorbitant price in the July temp, even though it was without air conditioning. Moreover, I did not get back the 40€ I paid to Carflexi upfront. They went to great lengths not to return it, even there is no valid and strong reason in their terms and conditions, then finally, the driver's license came to the point that it was not written in Latin characters and was worn out, so they rejected it! You should stay away from Carflexi.
I had the worst experience in Beirut Lebanon. The airport office refused to honor the Carflexi offer and charged me $ 92 extra for 4 days. I need to file an official complaint but I don't know how?! The official cite does not provide address for complaints
I had a very disappointing experience with your local provider in Marrakech (location auto). The car airport desk turned out to be a van in the parking lot of the airport. The provider was not well mannered, he looked like a stoned criminal, none of my credit cards worked on his teller machine and eventually I couldn't complete the car rental unless I pay the deposit in cash which was not possible, I ended up renting a car from a well reputed company with good quality service. I have sent my request for refunding the fees to your customer service who refused to return my money. I think you should be ashamed of yourselves, this is borderline fraudulent service, not only I will never use your services again, I will do my best to make sure everyone knows that you are not a trustworthy company
I booked with them but fell ill so I wanted to cancel, this was not possible, all there numbers are listed as not working. So will probably get charged as a no show, is this a scam? When I go back to the site now apart from the voucher my booking does not show up.

For a site that emphatically states there are no hidden fees and the amount you see is the total amount, when you go to pay, the amount jumps up for a non optional car insurance that I didn't want or need. It actually voided my insurance through my Visa on top of the extra fee.
Very unpleasant experience. I booked for the first time a rental car through CarFlexi. The local Hertz could not provide the car class and offered to cancel at no charge.
A few weeks after I discovered CarFlexi charged me. I asked for a refund but they wouldn't take responsibility and gave all sorts of excuses why not.

You can pre pay for a car reservation with a debit card (f. Ex. Revolut), but when you go to pick up the car at the car hire company (Leasys, in Sardinia), you will be refused if you don't have a credit card. Car Flexi will then refuse to reimburse you the money (200 € in my case!)

Your car rental company in Puerto Plata Dominicana Republic is atrocious and deceptive. I purchased a rental agreement with yourselves from December 16-23,2018 which stayed the rate and included insurance. Needless to say my bill was close to 500.00 USD because they force you to take insurance which is already covered by the credit card I utilized. I am a man of integrity, unlike your company and will utilize every website imaginable to warn people of your company. I hope to hear back from you soon but I haven't after filling out your survey
Whilst it was my fault for not taking out a daily rate to reduce the excess we unfortunately had damage to our hire car by person unknown in our accommodation in Hobart, Australia. As we had insurance with CarFlexi, which we have now been paid out, they were a pleasure to deal with. It has been a lesson learnt that in future I will always take out the daily rate to reduce the excess to Nil.
I was quoted a price of 430 CDN for an automatic Mercedes A-Class with insurance and a pick up and drop off at two different Milan airport locations. I signed up the contract and they produced a Fiat with a stick shift! They said that in Italy this is an automatic and a similar car! At that time I asked for my money back and they refused! After wasting two hours I was convinced to "upgrade" to an automatic. Two contracts were made up ( the one with the upgrade was kept when I returned the car). Back home I had the contract translated. I ended paying carflexi, the daily rate again, the drop off again, and the upgrade which doesn't even show up on my contract as a separate charge on my Visa statement. Total cost 700 CDN
In a hurry and unfamiliar with renting a car in my own country, I used Carflexi to find and rent a cheap car for one day from Wellington Airport, not noticing in time that I was paying twice - once an admin charge to CarFlexi and again to the rental company itself on arrival at the airport. I paid almost as much for Carflexi's 'services' as I did for the car with the result I ended up with a very expensive 'cheap' car for a day. I could have rented the car direct from the car rental company for only a little more than its own cost through Carflexi. The rental plus admin cost is only clear when you get to the final booking page, with no indication earlier of what the cost of Carflexi's 'help' will be. In a hurry and having made all sorts of decisions along the way, it was easy to miss this information. Subtle misleading of the renter - and a rip off! Will never use them again.

Regarding your case, we would like to inform you that Theft & Damage Excess Protection service is an optional refundable service that we offer online for our customers in order to protect the Excess for a very low rate. It is highly recommended to have this included in your reservation.
If the customer decides that he does not want to have it included in the order and accepts to be liable for the excess amount, he/she can always remove it before placing the order at any step of the booking process or via “My Booking” facility by clicking on the box "Theft & Damage Excess Protection" if the booking is created.

On 28 Dec I received a quotation of 66,18 euro for a 9 days rental, although I paid 146 euro concluding the deal. At the car rental office I had o pay another 65 euro in cash, in total 210 euro instead of 66!
Now the car rental company says they never heard of carflexi, but somehow he car was booked and ready for me...
I rented a car through website but I also phoned to explain that i will arrive at Lisbon Airport at 00.30, they told me no problem everything is fine. When I arrived no car no more answers at the phone i was left alone at The airport in Plein pandemic time. I have to spend 100 euro of taxi and everything goes off. I will charge them
After you place your order and give your credit card details, the order confirmation page suddenly has a whole lot of extra charges they didn't tell you about before. And if you try to cancel, they just charge you cancellation fees, and do not even confirm that you cancelled. If you try to ring them they hang up the phone. Total SCAM do not use this site
We used the site mostly because it states "no hidden fees". That was exactly not the case, and Firefly has billed us 60 extra euro for using debit card instead of credit card, which is pretty unusual to have in Europe, plus another 40 euro for full-to-empty policy for refilling fee. No mention of that at all, credit card was mentioned insignificantly in the conditions summary, yet we inplicitly expected that the conditions for debit cards are the same. Not recommended both CarFlexi, nor FireFly.
Trying to cancel my reservation due to travel ban, and can not get anyone on phone, wait on phone for 15 minutes, and then they hang up. This is a bad costumer service. Spending all morning trying to get through. Nerved will I use this web site again. Their should be a way to cancel on line, and one other thing, never received a an email confirming which they so call said they sent to me.

I will never recommend carflexi as they stile from people with hidden charges.
They did from me too 89 on top of rental car and they are saying now thats their charges which is lie cuz they did nothing I spent my time on searching n booking the car so why would they get this much money from people n they tell us first.
Bad experience not willing to give my money back.
I recently rented a car from Canada when travelling to England. My Canadian licence expires every 5 years and a new old is issued, so despite having the licence for 20 years, the date on it is 2017.
The company refused to rent the car to me due to the licence having a date on it of less than 2 years, AND refused to refund my deposit. I have no idea where this supposed documentation even is.
They are an appalling company and NEVER rent from them
CarFlexi is extremely unethical and dishonest in their business model and actions. I unfortunately used them to book a car, and even though the car rental company had administrative problems with the booking and cancelled the booking, CarFlexi still refused to refund on the money. They therefore added NO value and expected to be paid for this. Their actions here are even in contrast with their own terms and conditions.
