Had trouble setting up account. 24 hr turn around. Hmm. Trouble finding whether or not I can make a cover for a paperback book. Multiple email requests for help. No response. The site "book cover" is for e-books only. Terrible business model.
I cancelled the "free trial" BEFORE the trial period was over. They still charged me $199.99 for a full year. They refused to refund my money. Customer service was a joke. Do not sign on with this company. Gimp is a much better software and it's free.
Canva charged us $119 when we didn't buy anything. We had stuck with the free version and didn't give Canva any of our information, but for some reason, our bank account got charged and we can't reverse it. We've been to the website support for a refund but it won't let us submit our response. We've tried calling their phone number *******388 but an automated voice responded and then hung up. We have not been able to contact them at all and are now calling our bank. I've seen that a lot of other people have had similar problems and It really sucks that Canva is this irresponsible, and possibly stealing from people who haven't bought anything.
I've been trying to contact Canva over a month to try to resolve an access issue. I sent messages through their not so helpful HELP portal every other day and multiple requests in one day with the hope someone gets back to me to resolve my issue. As of today I've heard nothing. They were quick on charging me a membership right after the trial period, but no replies to customer not even acknowledging receipt of the issue is very disappointing.
Have used Canva for years and always enjoyed how intuitive it was for design. But now that I've apparently used up my storage, I must upgrade for $30/month. Really? $30/month? Who are you, Canva? That's grocery money. Gas money. Not "free design tool" money. And you've made it SO DIFFICULT to permanently delete items from the trash (which oddly doesn't free up storage) that it's pointless to even try. Thanks for being greedy and goodbye. I'll stick with Adobe Creative Cloud for $10/month.
I forgot to unsubscribe from Canva and was charged their monthly subscription $12.95. I then cancelled my subscription that same day right after getting charged. I asked for a refund. Based on their refund policy, which they issue refunds, one states "Failure to cancel trial on time". I have already submitted three tickets already and they haven't got back to me within their stated 24hr time frame... Its been two weeks still no response. THIEVES.
Ordered 2 different prints, 2 days apart. Canva place both of my designs in both orders, and when I collected the 1st order from Staples, they labeled the 2nd order as complete, and the order I received as waiting to be collected. Customer service for their site has no phone number so the only choice is waiting at least 24 hours to get a response. Most responses I received were unhelpful, and only one offered a reprint at no charge- which is essentially giving me what I paid for over 3 or 4 days late with no compensation for my time or inconvenience.
Back then it was a way to quickly edit your photos or make posters in a to-go situation, but now it's just a shadow of its former self. Almost every image, graphic, or template is always going to be premium and needs the pro version, there are less and less free assets to choose from.
Nothing infuriates me more than when you take every step prescribed to make sure the process is working only to have an epic fail delivered in return for your time, money and effort. Look at the proof (with the crop marks extended so there's no debate about what was supposed to be in and what was out of the crops) and you tell me if the card reflects the PROOF. The print version doesn't even agree with the mini proof on the card delivered with the order. No quality control going on here.
UPDATE: Canva quickly responded to my complaint and arranged a replacement order that arrived in a week and was as per the proof. Very happy with the corrective measure. Shame they couldn't just get it right the first time.
Extremely poor service. I was charged monthly subscription 3 times AFTER cancelling my son's account. Canva pro does not have a phone helpline. As my son no longer has an account, we are unable to contact them online either. I had to change my bank credit card in order to stop Canva from taking money. My bank is in the process of disputing the transactions and recovering my money.
I would strongly recommend NOT to subscribe to Canva Pro, as I have seen numerous reviews detailing similar experiences!

I checked it out and there was so much missing from this, from features to the most important... a real live person for technical support, they don't even have a phone number. What a joke! I followed their terms and agreements on their cancellation policy yet the $#*!ers charged me, pissed and a waste of my time... after hell and back of proving confirmation that I did not owe them a dime. They have the galls to tell me that it will take 20 days to get my money back... and that they are not liable for any overdraft fees and that it is their understanding that any purchases I make should be covered by my financial institution... Hello I didn't make any purchases... I was charged incorrectly even though I had followed their stupid rules.
I will warn people to stay away at all costs... not worth it... a worthless company with shady scam-artist like business practices.
This company is clearly not reputable. 119.00 later and no live support for merchant fraud? Wow. I advise to stay away. The only way to connect is if you have a subscription. There are no live people to talk with about concerns.
We used Canva once but when we went to shut down our account we were unable to, as somehow the account was under an out of date email address, which was super odd. After being charged $20 per month for several months and multiple messages to Canva customer service, I had to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. Poor customer care from Canva.
As good as the site is it's not worth it if they are thieves! They will not stop taking from me monthly after I have tried numerous times to cancel! They have no contact info and nothing on their settings about cancellation!
I got charged 12.99 for canva, the thing is i don't have a canva account! Trying to contact canva is an exercise in futility, there is NO phone number, there is no live chat, it's email only. The worst company i've ever dealt with. Sending emails gets answered with requests such as 'send us the last 4 of your credit card, etc.'..
I've been unable to log in to my account for several days. (No problem with any other site)
I have emailed Canva support several times. They don't even bother to respond.
Don't waste your time or money.
I signed up for the free trial, no reminder that it was coming to an end, no option as to whether I wanted to pay monthly or yearly, just took the money from my account. I thought I would try to make use of it as I had paid for it and nothing that is supposedly free even works! I have sent them emails and they just ignore! Who can you take this further with? This company should be investigated!
Canva used to be a great tool. You could easily find thousands of free cutout images to use in your designs. Recently they changed this system. Now these images--once commonplace--are few and far between, lost in a sea of watermarked images locked behind a paywall. The most insulting part? Once you "purchase" one of these images for use, you are only allowed to use it on one design. You cannot use it in others; essentially, you only "purchased" the image in a narrow sense. Canva's treachery was predictable but all the more frustrating for it. Put your money where your mouth is and don't use Canva.
This has a lot of good qualities, but make sure you keep all your details the same. I had the free version for a while, but I needed to upgrade. I tried sharing my projects on social media without success. I no longer had access to an old email connected to Facebook. Because I was unable to disconnect my old email from Facebook, I sought assistance. I was told to do what I had already done, but that is fine with me. Again, I was unable to use my old email address.
Then they asked for a ridiculous amount of information: On what date did I create Canva? (I didn't know.) What was my invoice number? Invoice date? And so on. After providing all the details I could, they said they would have to discontinue my current account in order to disconnect my old email from Facebook. That doesn't help at all. In my opinion, it is not worth subscribing to.
Unbelievably frustrating experience which I highly recommend others not to go through. They take your money and do not provide your order. Try to contact them and see what happens. Absolutely nothing! Some rubbish about not having phone lines due to privacy. Yeh right. Do not respond to emails. Nothing! My young daughter looked forward to sending her friends and family Canva invites which never came. This was my first and last experience with Canva.
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
