We booked with budget air last night to go on holiday to dubai for 11 days. In total we are a family of six who would have been traveling. We booked flights and hotel which came to a total of £3397. 41p. After we made the payment it stated we need to speak to an advisor and they have only deducted £1600. Very confused we tried to contact the company, but guess what they are closed, so we have to wait for the morning. Come this morning with a sleepless night, we call up budget air and they know nothing about it, so we need to send an email with all details. We have done this and the reply to our email is sorry there must have been a technical fault and the flights are not available anymore, and we have taken full payment of £3397. 49p and our apologies we will not be able to return the money to you for another 10 days. What a load of rubbish. We have no holiday and no money until 10 days. I hope budgetairline are happy with upsetting a family who were planning on going away for there Christmas. This company knows nothing about customer service and I will be taking this further.

So I have received a reply email from budget air, and they have stated mishaps happen, and they will return the money straight away... Erm sorry but first of all my holiday is ruined, and then your budget air said I have to wait 10 days for a Refund. Absolutely outrages... will budget air pay the holiday difference In 10 days time. When there is a mishap and especially when it doesn't happen often, you should apologise and try and make it right. Not let your customer wait 10 days more to return there money. Another company would have booked alternative flights and taken the blame. Not satisfied

I paid the ticket included their insurance and when my return and I changed the date of return ticket and paid the extra fee right away while I was traveling. But they did not change the ticket for me and I did not even receive any update informations from them at that time,
I found out I could not be able to take airline until I was in the airport because their mistake, and when I talked to customer services she asked me to buy new air ticket by myself and send the receipt to them for refund. But after over a month, they have no reply and response, I have been calling them over a month and every time they told me will send me in 3 days, in one days blah blah blah, but I have never received any single call or email from them.

I tried to call customer service again today, and customer service told me that the refund has to wait for airline response not from their company, ( this is totally different story from customer service told me) and she even hang up my phone ( I have record the phone since I every time I have very unpleasure experience when I get in touch with them)

They are the awful travel agency company with the worst customer service, if you want to have pleasure and relax traveling experience, I truly don't recommend to everyone this website, they have awful customer service.

You will never want to travel to airport and been told that your ticket unavailable because your travel agency's mistake and after they told you buy new ticket but never return your old ticket refund, after you have to keep calling them again and again to their customer service and try to get your ticket refund back due to their unprofessional service. But you might be treated unpleasurable ( hang up your phone or give you all same excuses contact with you in 3 days, in one day but never replied)

I booked my tickets before COVID-19 restrictions in Feb 2020 for my trip back home to India in late August 2020. I can't travel now as the place I am going to has become a hot zone for COVID-19 infections. The flight was with Emirates and Emirates clearly has given 3 options (Hold the ticket for a future date, voucher for 24 months or a refund) - THIS INCLUDES TICKETS BOOKED THROUGH A TRAVEL AGENT (See attachments).

I tried providing this publicly available evidence to Budget Air, however, they would not listen to me and blatantly blamed the airline for not issuing a refund. I was so furious that they are able to just dismiss evidence without citing any references/evidence of their own.

Here is the publicly available information:

I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and get my hard earned money back. I really did not want to do this but they left me with no option.

PS: I have spaces between the URLs as I am not able to submit URLs in the review. Fix the spaces to visit the URLs.

Their first response where they lie about airline not offering a refund AND not helping me get a voucher from Emirates. Thieves!
Lie about the refund AGAIN! Plus, I'll have to pay fare difference and an admin fee though I can't travel because of Corona situation! Thieves!

Oh boy, where do I start?
I booked my tickets to India from US on Oct 16,2020.
Few days passed by and I received an email saying schedule was changed. 16hrs layover was added after first leg.

It took 2-3 weeks to get to a point where I was so frustrated with customer service and cancelled my tickets.
I paid premium charge of $25 and insurance of $25 so that I can change my flights whenever. Turns out all the cancellations and changes to my booking are still dependent on Airline I travel with. So there goes my $50.

Wait. There is more
First week after the changes were made, I asked them to put me to a schedule that had less layover and they agreed. At this point my travel was still tentative according to airlines. I called them like 3-4 times to see what was happening and all I got back was backend-team was working on issuing new ticket.

Recently, I spoke to airline and found out the booking was actually cancelled and BudgetAir did not bother to update status.
Oct 18 through end on Nov, I was in a limbo where no tickets was confirmed. I was so pissed, called them for one last time on Dec01, I was given an option to fly a 47 hr flight instead (initial flight was 26 hrs) else I had to pay a $100 cancellation fee.
Too many head aches + no guarantee for your flight schedules.

I paid $100 charity cost and booked the original flight I intended to fly on United Airline site itself.

Also, customer service was Travix USA, LLC. They never picked my call. I had to login to budgetAir account and write a feedback to get an email response and find out phone number they respond to.

And, refund takes 8 weeks. I mean why?

Dear Sir or Madam,

Budgetair.com put me in a flight that does not exist.

This company sold me a ticket to Caracas from London trough Madrid with Iberia for the 10th of November 2014.

Iberia cancelled the flight and budgedair.com did not let me know. Even worse they decided to put me on a flight Madrid Caracas on the 11th keeping the flight London Madrid on the 10th at 7:30am. Meaning to spend all day and night in Madrid for the 12:00pm flight on the 12th.

I send a complain letter to budgedair complaining and the response was that they did notified me with two emails which isn't true. No emails were sent apart of one in July where all flights were still on the same day. And even if they did so they never got my confirmation for that unrealistic change.

I was that morning at Heathrow airport when the airline told me what budgedair had done.

I lost my flight connection to my hometown and hotel reservation in caracas on the night of the 10th. Also lost a day with my mother and an unpaid leave day of work.

You should also know that they have caused me terrible stress as the reason of my flight is to visit my mother in Venezuela who has terminal cancer. What budgedair have done to me is unacceptable and terribly unprofessional.

Hello. Me and my family were travelling from Perth to Houston. We went from perth, to sydney, to houston. The way there was fine everything was ok but on the way back, they messed up our flights. Keep in mind they kept changing the flights as well. We booked the flights TO houston for the 18th of august, at 1pm. They changed it to the 24th, 16th, 14th, and so on. They kept changing our stops from melbourne to sydney to tokyo to back to sydney and this is including timings. But we still reached atleast and left on the 18th. But, on the way back, we had a 10 hour flight to tokyo at narita airport. We then had to transit to haneda airport and then catch a 12 hour flight to sydney. But, the check in people at the airport told us the flight is invalid and doesn't exist. Japan had closed all international visitors from
Transit so they simply booked us a flight that doesn't exist. Keep in mind when we booked it, the flight first was valid as we would arrive in Haneda and leave from there as well but they changed it. To something that doesn't exist. Me and my family were left abandoned and stranded in a foreign country. Terrifying experience.

Fake customer support

I have two dissipute issue with Budget airline booking.

1. I booked my flgit ( with retun flight) for Vistara using skyscanner website using Budget airline Uk agent booking. In skyscanner, budget airline showing cheap pricce in Euros currency. But when i booked my fligh and did payment using my credit card then they deduct in pound from my bank account. It means amount sowing in euros but deduction in pound. Which is purely dissipute and cyber crime.

2. During my return flight Delhi to Frankfurt (which will be on 20th), i have some health problem. So i want to cancel my flight. I already taken a hooper service means i can canel my ticket any time ( before checkin). For that i already paid extra amount 123£ to budget airline. Now today (19th), i want to cancel my Return journey. But budget airline saying, your policy is expired, you cannot cancel your journey. If you cancel your journey, you will not get any refundable amount. This is completely making fool to customer amd trust.it also dissiputes, they are not stands on their cancellation policy.

These above two point prove that Budget airline is making dissiputes and cyber crime with customer.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!

This was our first time booking with this company and the LAST! I have never been more frustrated with a company before and ive worked the transportation company for 10 years.

We booked 3 tickets roundtrip but because our son only needed a one way as he was returning on a cruise ship we were told we could change and be refunded within 24 hours and this message was from the AIRLINE. So we went ahead and booked it but when we tried calling on a monday during business hours they were closed? So i called the next day and they kept telling me A.) the airline doesnt allow changes and they are not allowed to tell me such things and B.) if i had called them within 24 hours we could make changes but since i didnt there was nothing they could do.
I calmy explained to them i had indeed called twice but theyre automated system said they were closed - in which they argued with me about that but so be it. Not the problem. The problem is is that they kept arguing with me about what the airline said and told me i needed a letter from them to confirm a change and refund was okay? WHAT? Never in my 10 years have I had to get a letter from an airline to make a change. I ended up hanging up on them after having to speak with them 4 times in half hour and i called alaska airlines again and the wonderful agent said what i had been saying all along, "within 24 hours you can make any change to your booking and be refunded if needed" and that she wasnt sure why budget air was saying all these things. She then made the changes AND refunded me the $80.00! Thank you ALASKA AIRLINES! Budget air seems to be the type of company that will tell you anything to keep your money and scam you! Are you really that under quota that you need to try to keep a first time bookers $$ when she is in correct time to be refunded?
Never again am i booking with them!

Very bad experience

I have recently purchased 2 round-trip air tickets from them. They have mixed up both my boyfriend and my surnames and given names (ie put surname as given name, and vice versa). We were only able to discover this mistake when we try to check in online 48 hour before the flight. We try to call to their 24h service hotline. 1. It took absolutely forever to have somebody pickup the phone. 2. When somebody finally bother to pick up the phone, they told us they cannot do anything since it is outside office hour (then whats the point of the 24h hotline!) 3. And what they told us was literally "YOU SHOULD GO TRY YOUR LUCK AT THE AIRPORT 2 DAYS LATER SEE IF YOU CAN BOARD" (yes, exact wording. This is unbelivable!) 4. We try to call again in their 'office hour' (we have 8 hr time difference by the way) and they said they would get back to us. Took another 24 hour to reply. 5. End up they cancelled the original ticket with wrong names, and swap to a flight that is 1 day later. BUT WE NEED TO PAY EXTRA 2000 HKD (~ie ~260USD). WE HAVE TO PAY TO COVER THEIR MISTAKE. Fyi our ticket is from HK to taiwan, 2000HKD is roughly same amount we pay for 1 ticket.

OVERALL ITS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND WILL NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN.
I advice all of you to consider using other airticket agent.
