ZERO STARS. TICKETS WERE NEVER ISSUED.

Zero stars. Was just denied boarding because BudgetAir DID NOT BOOK OUR FLIGHTS. They sent us an itinerary, and when we showed up to the airport, the operating airline, American Airlines, showed that the tickets were never issued.

They say that the airline Qatar Airlines changed our flight, and BudgetAir never rebooked us on the replacement flight. We were never notified of the change, BUDGET AIR WAS, AND NEVER TOOK CARE OF IT. Guess what? They are also the ONLY ones who can re-issue the tickets, and guess what else? NO customer service is available (they have a Facebook messenger, but never responded and the auto-message says, "we will try to get back to you WITHIN THE SAME DAY" are you KIDDING ME?) We are disputing the charge through our credit card company, and we will also be asking for reparations for our missed hotel costs and transportation fees to and from the airport.

What a joke

I have never been more stressed or angry! I booked with skyscanner who used budgetair.com a ticket worth $2800! I recieved an email of acknowledgment but no eticket. I figured I had just paid this money. Maybe they made a mistake. I spent over $100 to get a cab to the airport. 4 hrs early as I'm ALWAYS early to wait in line to get to the desk to find out qatar had NO ticket for me.
For 2 hrs I tried your phone number. Checked my emails. NOTHING. Completely uncontactable. I waited up until I couldn't get on the flight in tears. I needed to be in NZ with my friends and I WASNT. I then had to catch a cab home and book a hotel for the night.
I got an email 6 hrs later saying I had taken too long to process the ticket and so it didnt go through. Well why did you tell me it had processed and take my money! I was so angry! I booked another ticket today wirh another company and will NEVER use budget again. EVER mo matter how cheap their flights. Your company is a joke

SCAM

If I could give 0 stars I would! SCAM COMANY! I bought tickets on their website and then they sent me an email at 1130pm, the night before my flight, stating that my departing flight is cancelled because there are no seats available. They did nothing to accommodate and would not cancel my departing flight either. How the hell am I supposed to fly on my return flight if I can't get to my destination in the first place? On top of that my "refund" is 20% of my total payment, which I'm not even convinced I'll get back at this point either. When speaking to them you can only chat and the agent keeps giving the same scripted response that I should call the airline and deal with the them myself, that too in the middle of the night when the airlines aren't even open to speak to? How is this company expecting the customer to correct their mistake? Why are they offering seats to a flight if they can't guarantee the seats are available? NEVER BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH THEM

FRAUD ALERT! I can prove with mails, chat, bank transactions (money of 1000+ pounds completely drained) that these are very clever frauds. They will make a few tickets work and swindle the rest thereby making it look like they are actually a genuine company.
Few examples:
1. They will book flights with airlines that do not have a flight operating on that date with between those cities. And they will say please wait till the last date to confirm.
2. They take extra money for guaranteed cancellation/change and refund. When you want to cancel or change the ticket they will blatantly say that because of the airlines they will not refund anything.
3. The airline reference number they provide is a fake. Having spoken to the airline themselves, they say they are helpless because of such brokers inbetween doing the fraudulent activities.
I lost more than a 1000 pounds and couldnt take my flight, be careful and AVOID AVOID AVOID for your own good.

Also be careful - they will respond as if they are extremely professional and that the fault it elsewhere. Dont fall for it.

Stuck in Mexico City

I purchased a flight to and from Guatemala with a layover in Mexico City in February. Everything was perfect. However, two weeks ago I get an email saying to confirm that the flight back now was a day earlier and had an overnight layover in Mexico City. The company said they couldn't do anything even though I had a protection plan and even got mad at me because I was hesitant to make a $700 payment to change my flight and ensure a safe trip home. They were extremely rude. I normally don't write reviews but this has been extremely stressful and I want anyone who is looking for affordable flights to prevent this experience from happening. DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH BUDGET AIR!

I purchased my ticket through them with the intention of saving a bit of money since my ticket was already too expensive. A couple of days after my purchase one of my returning flights got cancelled so the airline sent me a new itinerary. With the new changes the returning trip went from 13 hours to almost 30. I was very stressed and worried and I didn't want to spend that many hours at airport primarily because the current COVID situation, I was nervous to be surrounded by that many people. I attempted to call customer support only to find out that they "currently" don't offer support over the phone, so I sent an email instead. I decided to contact the airline directly 4 days after sending the email because I simply thought no one was going to reply. I was extremely lucky to be assisted by an agent from the airline, they helped me change my itinerary free of charge and I am very grateful for that. I received a reply from BudgetAir 11 days after I sent the email, they simply said that there was nothing they could do since the airline already helped me. I hope this review will help many to stay away from BudgetAir. I was lucky, and I don't want to take the risk again.

Unacceptable experience, SENT ME a confirmation booking number BUYK ******* for a ticket that does not exist.

THEY SAY I'll be refunded in 5 WORKING DAYS

YAP - That's how they roll it. They simply sell what they havent got, charge you and give your monies back in FIVE DAYS

ABSOLUTELY BAD INTENTION. CLEARLY THE REASON why is HARD TO FIND they telephone number online - but is here 020 8045 4031 (if you were unlucky to read this after they took your money already, it may help.

The 22nd of may, I booked my flights tickets, one way from wellington to Hong Kong the 10th and Hong Kong to Brussels for the 15th of june. I payed 2 insurances to make a chage possible with no fees, total: 503,98 euros.

Today (31st of may) I call them, asking to change the dates of my reservation, my stay in Hong Kong has been cancelled so I wanted to fly from Wellington to Brussels the 13th instead. For that change they asked me to pay 625 euros (included 35 euros for the company fee). Total of my one way trip: 1128 euros (and i'm not flying with AirNewZealand but with a cheaper company with less comfort)! Flight tickets no refundable. When I am checking the prices of flights the same day, the price is 2 times less than that, with less stops. Adding this, I had lot of trouble with their website to pay online.

I definitely not recommend Budgetair otherwise you will burn your budget and loose your time.

If I could I would give a negative star review. My flight was canceled therefore it was not my fault nor budgetair's fault, however the way they try to find a solution for it is terrible, which is basically a refund instead of adjusting or finding another flight. I was told that the next available flight is business class HK-MNL leg of Madrid to Manila, I asked them how much would I need to pay, and they were asking 8000 EURO, but in the website of Cathay Pacific that flight only costs 7000 HK Dollars (business class), considering this is a canceled flight meaning I've already paid for the economy and hence only need to add for a business class, they were asking me 8000 EU, yes, 8000 Euros, enough for 20 flights fare. I asked for breakdown of fees, but he/she was not able to give me any. I asked to be connected with the supervisor but the live agent refused. In the end he/she just left the chat and left me hanging. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS WEBSITE.

Dodgy Service

Avoid this dodgy Service!

I booked 3 tickets via BudgetAir. It took all details and paid the money over $2200. It processed, got booking confirmation and money got deducted from the account. I waited for email but didn't get any in 15 minutes. I called the service team to get the email confirmation and Jim informed me that the booking has been not processed! What? How this is possible? I said, money has been deducted from my account and I even got the booking confirmation number. But he said yes but it has been rejected and we have refund you back the money and will be in your account in 2-3 business days. I said, I dont have more funds in account to make bookings and we have to do it today anyhow and they say we cant do much please check with your bank. I spoke with his supervisor and he didn't have any answer too. How could you possible take the money out of the account, send the booking confirmation to customer and say later that booking has been rejected! Very very unprofessional service and no doubt that is a way to dodge customers! I will take this matter further. Please save your money and stay away from booking using this service.

Avoid booking with this company at all costs. My friends and I purchased two connecting flights with Budgetair. The first was nonexistent and despite giving us a flight number, telling us the airline and flight time' turned out to be an extremely long and bumpy taxi ride. This, although annoying was the least of our problems however. We arrived at Podgorica airport and the airline told us that Budget air had not paid for our baggage (which we had pre paid for and had confirmation). We then called Budget Air and were told that they were so sorry for the mistake, to pay for the baggage ($175 euros) and we will be refunded as soon as possible (within a few days). It is over a month later of daily calls, being put on hold for hours and being told that the refund is coming' and they will call us the next day etc. When I called up today I was told that we would not be getting any money back despite being told previously that we would and it is their mistake. After dozens of phone calls and so much effort and inconvenience this was the last straw. The people on the customer service lines were incredibly patronising, sarcastic and unhelpful, giving me no way to escalate this to a manager or a next step to solve the issue. Now I am $175 euros and hours upon hours of time in debt. NEVER book with Budgetair, they are total scammers

BUDGETAIR IS A SCAM
April 22, 2020

Avoid using Budgetair at all costs, their customer service is non existent, their added travel insurance is really just a revenue stream for this company. I cancelled my airticket in early February due to emergency surgery and since then I have yet to get anyone from their company to answer the phone or emails. It is now 23 April so I doubt I will ever see a refund or confirmation of a non refund so my own travel insurance company can refund me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Avoid BudgetAir at all cost. Book directly with an airline!

My flight was cancelled. I've spent 3 days (~6 hours/day) on the phone trying to rebook the flight without success.

BudgetAir was pointing to the AirLine and vise versa asking me call AirLine and vise versa all the time. I even had 2 conference calls with airline and budgetair during which they were blaming each other and not trying just to complete rebooking...

Rude, incompetent, not trustful customer "support".

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

A scam company

Had to change flight due to new covid restrictions at destination, said flight not refundable even though airline I was supposed to fly on has 100% refund policy. No phone number listed on website. This company should to investigated for fraud. DO NOT RESERVE ANY TRAVEL with this scam company.

I needed to change my flight date due to circumstances. I went online, there was a button to do exactly that. As a response to my button click, an email was sent. The email had a button. When clicking on the button, I was sent to a page that told me to click on the 'Chat with a service customer representative'. It better had said 'Chat with THE customer service representative, since there appears to be only 1. The ESTIMATED WAITING TIME is NINETY TWO MINUTES!
