Hi

I'd like to tell everyone about my experience with budget air. I checked an online site which compares many websites for the best price for my ticket from Algeria to Tunisia and back ( I was booking from INDIA!) and I got the best price on Budgetair.com, I had to book immediately because there were no seats available elsehwhere online, which I did, But then I checked many websites for reviews and had read numerous negative reviews which got me scared.

But to my surprise! I got the confirmation Email within 10 minutes and the E tickets in the next 5 minutes along with the confirmation e tickets from the two airlines ( as the airlines were different on both the journeys). I had no problems at all with check in or anything else.

I wanted to post this as there were many negative reviews and I ACTUALLY wanted to share my experience about something which was the cheapest option available on the internet and completely hassle free!

HORRIBLE! If I could put a zero star rating I would. You dont even have a call call centre! I mean I have been trying to change my booking for the last 12 hours and NO HELP! You keep sending us to the airline and they send it back to you! Im going in circles here and nobody can help. I just get automated responses on your website! I have paid extra to change my flight and you cannot even provide this service? WORST THING EVER! I JUST WANT HELP!

Useless outfit

Booked with budget air last August 2019. Got cancelled this year due to covid. Was flying with airmalta who refunded our money 7th August this year to budget air. But they keep saying it is with our refund department and as of yet received nothing... do not use this company liars and crooks

Dear All,
I booked the tickets and cancelled by Budget air due to COVID-19, i am chasing for refund. But Budget air saying that airlines has not refunded money. Ticket has been cancelled in FEB-2020, so far no Refund.
I went personally to both air line Emirates & Oman Air. They already refunded amount to Budget AIr.
I would like file case on Budget Air.
My recommendation to all airlines should block Budget air website and put in black list.

I am still chasing for it and they are so not co-operative. Persistencely same answer they are giving again and again.

I make a reservation with budget air and before my trip by 10 hr they cancel my trip and resell the air ticket to someone else in higher prices and they say that the air line is cancelled not thim I call air line and they say that they are lying then they charge me cancellation fees Iam in the process with loyer …. I don't advise any one to buy from thim … i swear in gad that what happened with me..

Luggage Scam

When booking a flight through avelo air, budgetair.com stated that there was an included hand luggage and personal item. This is false and when i try to check if there is a carry on for avelo they actually wouldnt allow one saying i never paid for it. This is not aveolos problem, this is an issue with budgetair.com

Absolute scum

Absolute scum. Purchased a flight with "Comprehensive Insurance or Refund Protect" + "Service package - Premium" which says "No extra charges by BudgetAir for changing & cancelling your flight"

I am unable to make my flight now due to COVID and they can't/won't cancel / change my flight. I am fighting with them now to get a refund as this is clearly covered in their refund policybut they are impossible to contact and they do not respond to emails.

Terrible experince and aweful company. Avoid at all costs.

Chasing for Refund

Hi,
I am so dissatisfied I am chasing for refund from the company after lockdwon was initiated by the government here but they kept responding the refund should be done by airline when spoke to airline they said tickets were booked by travel agent they should have initiated the refund.
I am still chasing for it and they are so not co-operative. Persistencely same answer they are giving again and again.

Terrible, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE Please do not use them. They are not helpful at all, cannot talk to anyone, the chat service is just a computer that keeps asking you same questions and does not give you option to ask a decent questions, only the options they think you should choose from... so cannot get anything done. I wish I never bought a ticket with them

YOU WILL REGRET.

Avoid this company otherwise you will regret. What I mean exactly? Ok. Imagine you stepped into pig's poo on the ground, or a cat pissed into your shoes. It will remain for many many days for the stinky smell to disappear!

This is the case with BudgetAir. They are middleman between you and an airlines and... DO NOTHNING for customers! Just book directly from the airlines and do not buy tickets through BudgetAir with prices advertise!

Contacts ONLY via an online CHAT. They are helpless and are stupid robots!

YOU WILL REGRET...

I seldom give reviews but this time I have to warn people! Have to blocklist BudgetAir (affiliated to Travix) and never ever to recommend this travel agency if you wanted peace of mind and worry-free flight and bookings. They are SCAMMING people and bunch of liars! They are not able to refund the amount you paid for the last minute flight change caused by airlines! Such a huge inconvenience from my side and when following up for refund they steal your money. Its almost 4 months now and I am yet to receive the full refund which airlines already confirmed they granted the full refund already and to contact the travel agent and yet BudgetAir refuse to give it back! I strongly advise to avoid BudgetAir at all cost! NEVER EVER!

The issue that I have experienced was: I bought 2 tickets from Izmir to Antakya for the date of 28/12/2021.
But this flight was cancelled by SunExpress airlines.
I asked SunExpress to refund as they offered me this option.
They said they would refunded my account in 7-14 business days.
But I didn't receive the 8.42 GBP (13.38 EUR) + 8.42 GBP (13.38 EUR) refunds.
When I reminded that I didn't receive the refunds.
They said it was refunded to the agency company Travix.
They know it, because my card's last 4 digits were not the same as where they refunded the amount.
So, I raised this with BudgetAir and I provided them whatever they needed from me, but they haven't replied my request after I provided every document that proves the flight was cancelled and SunExpress refunded them.
However, since then they haven't replied any of my emails.
I want the refund as soon as possible.
This is not about small about.
This is more about whether I will trust BudgetAir for my next flights or not.

They dont respond to emails. I have cancelled a flight and didn't receive my refund since 5 months, was emailing them for the update they never reply to emails except a standard COVID reply. Though i have clear update from airlines that the amount has been refunded to budget air account 2 months back till now i didn't receive any refund.
Better dont prefer this company to book tickets anymore. WORST WORST WORST service.

Scammer!

Tried to change the date of the flight. They kept asking for gift cards for the balance amt! We got scammed for $400. Once they had the gift cards, they said they need another $250 as the economy class is not available etc. At that time we knew, we were in to a scam. They also said that if we pay that addtional $250, they will return everything back :). . Typical scammers and they have no shame stealing money. Beware!

Hope this helps someone. I am still trying to get a refund from them a year later.

You can read what is expected of them on the Canada Transportation Agency website & the Travel Industry Council of Ontario website.

You can also complain to TICO, as they are considered a travel agency, part of Travix.
You can also file a complaint with the CTA.

- They are actually registered in California, so to complain you would have to contact Rob Bonta, Attorney General of California, or through the Federal Trade Commission.
You can also search their registration number and contact information through the State of California Department of Justice Seller of Travel Page.

Also They do not allow emails in reviews but -

I've also included a pic of me asking if there were any available flights for an open ticket for all of 2023. As you can see, I was told there was not.

In my experience, they take 2 days to reply to emails, or sometimes won't reply at all unless you send a couple of emails, and when they do reply, because of the [apparent] language barrier, they don't even directly answer your question but instead, in very poor English they vaguely address the issue and you have to simplify your English right down and email them again and wait another couple of days for their reply. I will NEVER use BudgetAir again in my life.

Having just made a booking online I received an email confirming my booking only to receive another email an hour or so later saying your booking has been cancelled'. The worst thing about it that they will refund me in 3-5 working days time which is the biggest cause of concern considering I'm abroad and have limited funds in my account and cannot make a further booking until this refund come through.
I now have to extend my hotel stay until this money comes back into my account and hope the ticket is still the same price otherwise I'll be paying well over the odds because of this stupid stunt!

Having spent 25-30 on hold calling from a foreign country and paying extortion call rates I was greeted by Indian customer so-called centre, I explained my situation and he hung up on me!
Then I called back and spent 35 mins on hold to be greeted by another Indian call centre agent this time a female. I again explained my situation and all I wanted them to do was reverse my transaction because the money was still pending' but they didn't understand this. How dumb and stupid can someone get! After 3 minutes if this she hung up on me too.

No reason was given for the cancellation!

What a disaster! What a joke! What a horrible company to deal with!
Never book with this company!

I haven't received any emails back from the company to date!
I hope my money is refunded at least!

Zero out of ten!

We booked a flight with this mob on 8 March but had to cancel on same day due to our cruise being cancelled. At that time they offered a phone service (Since closed) and I was advised that we would receive a partial refund within 15 working days. That time has now passed and despite many emails to them all you get back is a message that says "Please re-confirm request" and then a whole lot of rubbish about how busy they are. They have NEVER got back to me in response to my emails. Consumer Affairs is my next point of call. KEEP AWAY FROM THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS.
