COMPLETE FAILURE

On 6/17 I reserved a rental house near Yosemite for the weekend of 7/17-19 and received a confirmation email. In addition, I received a confirmation from the property manager with a request to provide vehicle information before the reservation dates because the house was in a gated community. Seemed reasonable that the property manager had the correct dates. On July 2nd, Booking.com charged my credit card for the full rental amount. 7/8 I sent the vehicle information to the property manager and immediately received a reply that the house was reserved by someone else through another website because Booking.com's calendar put down the wrong dates in his reservation system. The property manager told me he has had many problems with Booking.com before. Booking.com received the notice of conflict from the property manager the same day 7/8, then Customer Service sent me an email informing me of the problem and a link to other accommodations that were completely unsatisfactory for the size of our group. I email CS back asking for other options, never received a reply. Next day sent two emails requesting a full refund, a week later still have not received a reply. If you dare to use Booking.com, make sure you know your Credit Cards dispute phone number because there is a good chance your going to need it and have a plan B.

They told me one price when I got to the hotel I was charged another they were supposed to refund me the difference never got it lie to about when I would get it then hang up on not to mention the hotel was nothing like that said will never use again

Yesterday I made a reservation via Booking.com for 7-nights stay, it was with term "Free cancellation" within following 3 days, however it required my Credit card details as a guarantee. After entering details, sum was withdrawn from my account IMMEDIATELY! Why is the free cancellation term then? Moreover, today I needed to change the reservation from 7 to 3-nights stay, logically less sum is due. However Booking.com informed me the difference between the bigger amount ALREADY WITHDRAWN FROM MY CREDIT CARD WITHIN FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD and the lower fee I owe to hotel, is going to be reimbursed to my account AVERAGE 15 working days after. Which means it can be even 30 calendar days and within this period I will need to cover the amount (which I am never going to use for hotel stay) to my bank, if I don't want the bank to charge me with % interest! Imagine! NEVER BOOKING.COM AGAIN!

Airline canceled my flight due to COVID-19 and I had bought the hotel through Booking.com. Booking. Com won't even give me a voucher for a later date. Isn't this against the law because of the pandemic? Never ever again will I book with this horrible company! I also tried to speak with a manager and they hung up the phone twice so they wouldn't speak to me. I can promise you this that I'm putting a bad review every week till the end of the year! I'm discussed with BOOKING.COM!

Do not use booking.com. They do not disclose the fees hotels charge. In your confirmation they state that you will be charged for one night and the remainder will be paid at check in. Then they charge you the full amount. When you call customer service they want your bank statement showing you were charged the full amount before they can do anything about it. Then it will take a period of time before you are refunded the money. Completely unacceptable.

I booked through booking.com. I hit the option to pay at the hotel but still had to input my credit card info to hold the room. They immediately took the money off my card, and once I arrived at the hotel, it was the most awful, dirty, disgusting place that I couldn't stand to be there the 15 minutes it took to check in. I immediately cancelled my reservation because it was nothing like the pictures represented, and booking.com refuses to refund my money that I wasn't supposed to have paid until I arrived anyway! Not to be trusted!

I've had one of the worst experience with them. The information provided on the bookings apps was completely different then the actual accommodation. The rooms did not have private washroom, the room was above the DJ floor, and the beds I had booked on booking were subject to availability. None of this information was provided on the bookings app. Once, I asked for a refund they have been nothing short of a nightmare. I had to make 7 calls to their customer service helpline and contact their online chat several times. Their representatives tell me that the manager will call me back but they never do. One of the worst experiences ever. Stay away from them and don't trust the information they provide.

Booked a room at the Days Inn in Canton. Room was dirty, hair on the floor in clumps, hair under the pillows on the bad, dead bug in between the sheets, bathroom door wouldn't shut and tv was dirty. We checked in and then went to an event. Back to the hotel 4 hours later and found everything in the room. Hotel would not refund me the $180 we paid for the room and when I contacted Booking.com, they said hood luck and working it out on my own as they couldn't help with it!

Under Covid-19 we couldn't make our trip happen. Called several time to cancel the reservation and nothing worked. At my last call the lady kept saying it's our own choice to choose not to go. They have nothing to do with it. The attitude is ugly. The words were cold. Truly deeply disappointed with their service. Customer server please show some humanity.

Will charge your account even though they claim full refund before certain dates. Awful, AWFUL customer service and extremely false advertising. Constant run around to get answers. Dispute all charges with your bank. 2020 scam artists.

My booking got canceled by the hotel for free 4 months ago and even though i called booking.com and hotel couple of times they still didn't send my money back. I will try to solve this in a legal way and WILL NEVER USE BOOKING.COM AGAIN. DONT USE THIS WEBSITE, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY. That simple.

I booked a Villa and paid a deposit of 650 which is fully refundable, had to cancel due to Covid and surprise surprise the villa owner said i hadnt paid, had to send proof of payment, was then offered a voucher however opted for refund, now being told refund will take a month with no reason for this, booking.com now washing their hands of any help even though they recommend the villa. I know I will be robbed of my 650, do not use booking.com

Told me flight cancelled. Could get me to alaska thru LAX. No confirmation, I call and she changes departure date,,, and wants 500.00 plus to pay difference. What a waste of time. Nobody needs this.

I wouldn't even give 1 star to this site. I will never again use bookings for anything! We booked a hotel in late October for a wedding in May, Since Covid-19 we had to change the date. Booking would not offer a refund on the hotel. We called the hotel and they were happy to help. Once we changed the dates, booking would not send a confirmation number to us so we tried to contact them. Never got a responses. We ended up getting charged twice by bookings for the original date and the date that the hotel moved changed our trip too. Still have failed to receive a refund for the trip that no one used. Even the hotel has tried to contact them but NOTHING. Each time I have used booking there has been a problem, this one will be the last. I do not recommended ANYONE to use this site. They just want you money that's it.

Booking was struggling to take my credit cards and it kept saying that my cards were declined. I called my card companies and they said it was because booking.com was charging me $0 over and over. I called them and it was a fiasco where they told me it was their fault and they would fix it. They told me to go to the property and it would be okay. Even hours before the reservation I called and they said to go ahead and go. I arrived to find my reservation canceled. I called but they couldn't help me. I was stranded there with nowhere to stay. I booked 6 months in advance. I will never use booking.com again.

Booked a Hyatt hotel in Austin with these Thieves. Went to cancel and suddenly there was a notice that any booking placed before March 30th was non-refundable. So, my $620 stay was a permanent hit to the credit card. This little scam they have going with the Hotels is an outright fraud. There was nothing out there about a non-refundable room charge when I booked. This is outrageous during these times. You might as well give them your pin number and let them steal you blind. Don't go near this site! Its a criminal enterprise!

Very bad! A day before checking-in, we received an email saying that it was an issue when booking and now the price is more than double!
I dont like to advertise but Airbnb is much more professional than Booking.com. TO AVOID!

Lost over 2000 EUR

Lost over 2000 EUR due to corona virus restrictions for my Italy booking when I WAS ASSURED by booking.com agents that I'll get my money back if the government restrictions apply (and they still apply at this moment). But contacted them through chat and ALL OF A SUDDEN the forced circumstances on my reservation don't apply anymore. Will not use again - and plus, will remove my listing that's earning them thousands of euros a year.

VERY BAD COMPANY

Booking chain is very bad, not being responsible for its subsidiaries in the world.
You think you are working with a serious company, having the right support, but it is NOT REAL.
Take an accommodation in the city of Lima Peru through the Booking website, cancel the reservation in March 15, and to date I have not received a refund.
I have the tests for whoever wants it.
