I had used Booking.com in 2016 and 2017, but NO MORE!
Here is a LIST of the PROBLEMS:
1) Cancelled reservation 84 hours in advance (policy was 72 hours), so then I get email from Booking.com saying cancellation cost was the cost of a one night stay.
2) Tried to reach a human at Booking.com - no luck. Entered my confirmation number multiple times and it did NOT acknowledge it, so could not even enter pin number.
3) Called hotel and they were fine with my cancellation, but said they could not cancel it and that Booking.com had to do it.
4) Booking has acquired Priceline or they have merged, but regardless, I cancelled through the Priceline website. At this point I had cancelled with hotel, Booking, and Priceline.
5) In order to chat on Booking.com site you have to submit what you want to speak about. Chat never opened up. I sent a message through their site, and then, and ONLY then did they say, it seems you might be better served talking to someone.
6) Person on call said they would need to call hotel property. I explained over and over that I cancelled within the 72 hour policy of Booking & the hotel property and had cancelled with the hotel, and Booking, and Priceline websites, but still got and email saying I would be charged. Person on phone acted like she was doing me a favor and said she would call hotel and see if it was okay. It's 84 hours in advance! I am within the policy guidelines for not paying! Free cancellation!
7) Spent almost 90 minutes of my time and am not compensated for it!

If I ran my private practice this way, I would be out of business. Book DIRECTLY with hotel if you can, and if not use another third party site like Expedia. Stay away from Booking/Priceline.

I need help with a reservation problem, because one guest reserved a day that was closed (booking. Com bug, site problems, idk,) so i called the help center first in my language (romania), but sadly there was no one, so i spoked with an english lady, so, i told her my problem, she said " ok w8 in the phone " and i w8 10 minutes in the phone for nothing, i hanged out after 15 minutes because obiously was a joke.
My second experience was with a guy, who told me that he was going to call me back, 3 days after he said this, still didnt called, never called, so no one to fix my problem,
SO BOOKING.COM, your help center is very bad, i would give -******* stars if i can.
And your comission is also very high, -*******9 stars to that too, close your website please

Insane people

They just cancel my agency account because 12 months inactivity. This is first I experienced company who discard client because doesn't book hotel stay during COVID-19 pandemic. Those kind of people should be put out of business and clients should forget this company out of market so I wish them very much.

They are extremely misleading and lie about free cancellation and booking. Also thanks for ruining my birthday weekend with your wack $#*! search engine. If I type in Nyc US there's NO reason for why anything in the $#*!ing UK popped up.

Worst so far

I will never use this co. Again. Customer service VERY BAD. Don't even let them tell you reservations will call you to rebook and or make ANY changes to booking. Cost me over $300 extra. Flights going up every min. Called me back 6 hours later after calling 3 times that reservation dept. Will call back with in 1/2hour. Won't happen. Cost me $309 extra for same flight do to no call back in time, them they hung up on me after complaining. All eastern Indian employee's 2 were hard to understand. Very rude attitude in 2 od reps. Don't do it.

I went to book a room at a hotel in sunriver oregon, the sunriver resort. I put in for 3 nights during a horrid heatwave. I was given a price and they said that is the total and there will not be any surprises. I looked to actually find an invoice before paying but they did not provide that. I paid, after the initial cost I was assured was final, taxes and a 140.00 property fee was added totaling over $200 from the original assured price. Not only that, I was only booked for 2 nights, not the 3 as I was told. Now, I am a school teacher paying over 400.00 per night. I tried and tried to call but could not get through, phone went dead after entering my account number. I got financially raped by these lying cheating billionaires, this will hurt me for a long time. School teachers do not pay 400.00 a night for hotel rooms for a reason. That is something for the rich who never work half as hard as I. I hate that I have to stay there and what it will cost me, this country and its billionaires must just sit around asking themselves how they can financially rape people. I needed a break after working 18 hour days through the pandemic, now I have nothing but more stress. No doubt the billionaires are patting themselves on the back for their thievery. I cannot explain the harm this is doing me or my disgust for this company and the place I will stay. I will be filing a complaint with the consumer protection bureau but doubt it will help. That is all this country is about now, working people being continually financially raped by the one percent.

Never again

Wanted to cancel reservations for the hotel due to it being in horrible condition. They dont do research on the hotels that they contract with. Hotel was nasty. Had bugs. Drug and prostitution going on. Homeless people hanging around. When called regarding the issue they said that we only was booked for one day but was charged for five days.

I have booked a hotel at $499 and they charge me $567. I have called help center 5 times, they only say unfortunately can not do nothing now, please wait for 2mins, but it went through over 30mins and the call was disconnected, I had to call back. After 5 times call, it took me over 3hours, they don't receive my call. Ridiculous. Why need to write 120 words to up load review? I don't recommend the booking. Com. They are not responsible, no look after for customer. They ignore you if you have any complaints.

Called thinking we called the hotel direct. Asked them if they were third party and they said no. We booked the room and paid extra for our dog even asked them if dog fee included and they said yes. It didn't. That's two lies. We arrived and they tried to collect the dog fee from us. We refused and told them to call Booking if they wanted more from us. We called Booking and we're conveniently disconnected three times. Do not trust them.

Double Charged

I stayed one night in Des Moines Iowa hotel and was charged twice, once by Booking.com and once by the hotel. A week later, Booking.com has yet to release their charges. I was told by customer service it would take up to 5 days, It's been 7 and I'm still trying to be reimbursed.

Booking cancelltion policy is a lie you wont get a refund even though it says refundable. I booked through expedia and cancelled due to a problem and got a refund not with booking.com thought that wont happen

Ya, PRAY NOTHING GOES WRONG with your booking bcuz these ppl COULDN'T CARE LESS. The cust svc dept (both 800# and website) is set up to take you nowhere - circular nightmare with no viable way to reach a human. If you dont have DETAILS (booking conf# AND a PIN) of a booking you've made then forget it. OF COURSE MINE ARE NEVER LISTED. Blacklisting these ppl b4 i have an aneurism

This hotel does not live up to the review rating or photos online. Probably the hotel did look like the photos at one time. It was basically clean, but the property is in need of updates, and there was no attention to detail. The first room we were shown smelled of cigarettes. Outside of all the rooms (not just smoking rooms) on posts were cigarette receptacles. The room we ended up staying in was okay, but the sheets were worn, and the furniture was stained and scuffed. The carpet did appear okay and everything worked. The bathroom appeared clean at first, but there was mold around the soap holder and under the rim of the commode. The walls were somewhat thin, and we occasionally heard other people. The outside was not as clean as the photos either; the sidewalks and parking lot were dirty. The pool was closed due to Covid I guess, although other places have opened theirs. There were picnic tables in the courtyard, but they did not appear as clean or new as the pictures. Breakfast was okay. We knew it was to be cold foods, basically grab and go. The location was convenient, near the highway but not in the best of neighborhoods. Some of the occupants appeared "shady," perhaps long-term residents. One person even had had a shelf for plants, etc. outside her door. For the price, I should not have expected better, but the rating should not have been a 7 out of 10. I doubt that the hotel meets Wyndham standards. There was no one at first at the front desk when we arrived, and no one was there the next morning when we left. It was all right for one night's sleep, but I don't think I would book here again.

I have been a Booking customer for at least 8 years. I am a member of Genius & when I tried to book this week, I was offered a Genius discount at one of the pricier hotels in NYC. I have attempted to reserve & the site would not accept any of my credit cards. Of course, I check with the cards & they did not even receive a request for Booking for any amount. Then, I received an email from booking inviting me to complete my reservation. When I tried to do that, the amount for the room was at least $100 more per night, i. E. without any discount. I have attempted to contact the company & received an unhelpful email telling me to call but not providing a phone number. When I finally called they refused to talk to me because I did not have a reservation confirmation number. Of course, I did not have it because they did not accept my credit cards. It appears to me that Booking has attempted to use Bait & Switch - i. E. offer the discount but when I attempted to pay, refusing to process payment with the discount. It is clearly evidence by the follow up email inviting me to finish payment form for the much higher rate. This is a violation of US law, the Lanham Act. I am very disappointed in their services and in complete absence of customer support. Recommend against using it.

We booked a 2-night stay in Sydney 5 weeks in advance for our weekend away without kids, 2 days before our daughter became very ill and we decided it was best to reschedule to the following month. Booking.com refused to help us at all and simply claimed nothing could be done and their policies don't allow for reschedule or refund even with the 48hrs notice. Hours on the phone they kept playing dumb and giving us the run around. Booking.com pushes responsibility on to Agoda, their parent company, saying they have the money and need to handle this, then Agoda says Booking.com needs to handle it, then they both say its the Hotels policy, then the hotel says they we're never paid for the booking because we never stayed. 3 days back and forth with booking.com and Agoda and they both claim they can't refund, shift blame and refuse to return our money or reschedule us. The hotel has been the only ones willing to try and help and they're also a victim as they haven't even been paid.

We haven't had a weekend away together for years and we this planned for weeks to make sure we could get sitters and time off work. After loosing our money we have decided to forget the whole thing. Booking.com stole $650 of our money and theres nothing I can do about it but hope this review will spare someone else this headache and financial heartache.

DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM OR AGODA. Book direct with the hotel, it is actually cheaper and they money stays in Australia and not sent to some lying thieves overseas.

Look at their reviews, they suck for a reason.

In my opinion booking. Com deserves 0 stars and this is why! I booked a 1 night stay on this site for Oyo hotel in st Louis Missouri we drove from southern Indiana 247 miles total and when we got to the hotel to check in the clerk said we got scammed I showed him all The information and confirmation number and he said someone has been selling his rooms on booking. Com and that his hotel didn't even have online booking thank God we was able to find another hotel and a better one at that!

I had booked an ocean view room in a hotel, 3 days later I get an email that I hv to pay more for an oceanview room (which they had already confirmed when I 1st booked)The customer representative was rude n was not of any help, kept repeating the same thing.
