This company receives -10 stars. Both my friend and I have had HORRIBLE experiences with this company and warn EVERYONE to stay away! I ordered 2 Mother's Day bouquets on Wednesday May 6th to be delivered on Saturday May 9th. One arrived early on Friday May 7, great. BUT... totally wrong flowers. I ordered purple and pink roses, daisies and lilies. What arrived was a red and yellow bouquet of different flowers. Only 1 rose, which were supposed to have 10. It is Thursday May 14, and the secind bouauet NEVER arrived to my m8ther-in-law! Making hubby and I look like asses because she never received anything for Mother's Day from us! I tried calling and emailing them on the Monday, they didn't answer me back until today. After 5 hours I finally got ahold of some on live chat who saud they will open up an investigation to see where my delivery is and a msnager will e-mail me back. I said no, I want to csncel my order and want my money fully refunded. I said I want to talk to a manager now. They ghosted me. I finally got an email this morning saying almost a week later they are still on the truck due to courier error. Tgey will resend me another bouquet or other flowers of equal value. If not, they will give me a credit to purchase flowers in future. They will not give me my money back. The exact ssme thing happened to my best friend. She also received chocolates that were expired on a previous order. I have contacted Better Business Bureau. Stay away!

I have a regular subscription with Bloomex as a gift for my grandmother. She loves their flowers! In the past I have gifted my grandmother flowers from other florists--both local and online--and Bloomex is her preference. Some of Bloomex competitors, in my opinion, have more intricate floral arrangements. That being said, my grandmother has reported that the quality of the flowers, as well as the length of time that the bouquet survives, is better at Bloomex than any other company I've used. Quotes from our most recent phone call: I have never seen lilies this size in my life They must be from out of the country! They don't grow that large here you tell that florist that these are some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. Why not 5/5 stars? I gave Bloomex 4/5 starts for three reasons. 1--Simpler arrangements - Previously mentioned, is that I think some of their competitors (especially local florists, but some online also) have a wider variety of designs to pick from as well as more intricacy/style. That's just a personal opinion. 2--Lack of reminders of upcoming subscription order - With the subscription service, you get an order notification 7 days prior to delivery; however, you cannot edit your order within the 7 days prior to delivery. So if you wanted to make an edit to the order, you'd have to remember yourself to go to the website and make edits at least 8 days prior to delivery, otherwise Bloomex will choose a Bouquet for you. I would appreciate a reminder 1-3 days prior to the order being placed--that way I can still edit the order. I should mention that you can go to the website any time and make updates to your bouquets months in advance, but I don't like writing my messages on the card that far in advance. Additionally there is a chance of choosing more seasonal flowers if you update the order close the to date you send it. 3-Fewer arrangements available through subscription than through website - I have been sending flowers to my grandmother for two years now--off and on with Bloomex subscription services. I have in no way exhausted all of the available arrangements through the subscription, but I am starting to approach the limit on arrangements I think my grandmother would prefer without repeating some of them. What's irritating about this, is that there are more arrangements available on the website--they just are not available through the subscription service. Considering that subscription members are--in the long term--likely providing more money to the company than most customers, it's a shame that not all bouquets are available to them.

Bloomex.au Is A Scam!
January 9, 2023

Bloomex.au is a Scam!

They post pictures of their products on their website which o not represent what they deliver.

I ordered the largest "Supersized Gourmet Chocolate Hamper" I could find for my sister's 60th Birthday present... It was supposedly worth $200+

She was sent a $30 gift hamper with all of the contents purchased from the local Coles Supermarket - not one chocolate!
It contained... Wait for it... Tinned sardines! And Broccol! Seriously!
And Coles baked goods from the bargain bins!
Not only that but it had cheeses in it - there's were left in the sun on the doorstep - they couldn't even follow the simple instructions for delivery!

On complaining at this humiliating gift which we videoed my sister opening, I was begged to let them try again to rectify this dreadful delivery or accept a $20 voucher - NO REFUND could be negotiated!...

I was so cross that I said to them " don't you dare put "cookies" in this gourmet chocolate hamper...

It arrives with old (yes so old they were stale and inedible - of course a sticker was covering the useby dates on all the packaging) airplane cookies, wafers, and two blocks of the thinest cheapest chocolate you can buy! It just added insult to injury! (I just wanted my refund so I could buy the things online myself!)

These could have made my cancer survivor sister extremely sick if she had actually consumed what was sent!

I am sooo upset at the gall of this company pretending to be legitimate when they are just stealing people's money!

I should have known when they did not offer PayPal as a way to pay!

Do not use them

I live in Florida and for Mother's Day this year, I ordered 70 orchid stems for my mother who lives in Ontario and recently moved into a long term facility due to stroke.
I chose this flower because they are her favorite and because of their long life.
Since she is diabetic, and recently admitted to a long term care facility. I opted NOT for chocolates, but for a vase and a card, which the promotion offered. (please see purchase confirmation below).

Bloomex delivered to my Mom -9 roses and a box of chocolates. Due to cognitive impairment from her stroke, she sat unsupervised and ate ALL the chocolates in one sitting and as a result nearly went into a diabetic coma. Four days later the roses were dead.

When I called to express my disappointment, I was met, not with apologies, but with aggression from the young lady who curtly told me that your company reserves the right to substitute flowers, according to your policy and that if I had read the promotion I would have seen that chocolates accompanied every order. When I asked to speak with a manager I was abruptly told there was none, then she said something that I didn't understand and promptly hung up.

I called back. The second person I spoke to at least apologized for my experience and explained that there was no manager on site and that someone would get back to me. I expected a phone call but instead was sent an email offering me a discount on my next order—which will likely never happen based on my experience.

I understand that Mother's Day is extremely busy for your company and that mistakes happen. I also understand your company's policy about REASONABLE substitution,(which roses for orchids is not) but that notwithstanding, I also understand that when you make an error, you make reparations.

At the very least I expected an offer to make things right. I held my end of the transaction and paid $102.79.
I expect at least what I have received from other florists who messed up my order—an apology and either an offer of a refund or the courtesy of sending what was ordered in the first place.

I would appreciate hearing from someone from your organization to discuss one of those options. In this day of social media domination you can ill-afford to ignore the power of good customer service.

Sincerely,
Michelle Hart-Claytor

Ordered flowers yesterday paid for next day delivery betweem 9-12 waited until 4 flowers didn't arrive called bloomed after waiting on line for customer service 15 minutes so the phone server put me on hold another 10 minutes to see why my flowers didn; t arrive for my brothers funeral? I was then told Red Deer wasn't a major city for there delivery and it would take two days and a half for delivery! ( but first was told there was a problem with the delivery address i argued that no that was all proper address for delivery! Next they told me they were not even done up yet and they would up grade my order to a larger ( thats not what i wanted I wanted the flowrs to arrive at the funeral home on that next day that i had asked for and paid EXTRA for! This was the third time in three months that they messed up mu and my daughters orders and were late delivering, and once the flowers were deliver three days later and were beginiing to rot and messed terrible! Once the flowers we completely different than the bouquet i paid for the colors were not the same and the size was much smaller! SO I WILL NOT BE ORDEREING FROM BLOOMEX ANYMORE NOT A GOOD COMPANY! Lesson learned support your local florist!

To all US residents thinking of using Bloomex, WARNING! Bloomex.ca has mastered Fleece Americans 101.

I live in Indianapolis and I ordered flowers for 10 separate people at one delivery location in St Jerome Quebec. I was told by the clerk that he had to do 10 separate orders. I went to pay for the flowers with a Canadian debit card that I have, but they refused to take it because I didn't have a Canadian address. I gave the clerk a US credit card. He told me that the charges would show in US dollars. This is nothing new. Any foreign transaction shows as a charge in US dollars after the exchange rates are applied. Or so I thought. What the clerk was really trying to tell me is that whatever the Canadian dollar charge is, they charge it in US dollars. In other words, they are charging you about 35% more solely because you are an American.

I refused to accept these charges as the amount that I was going to be charged had not been properly explained to me. I told the clerk I would not accept this and I told him to cancel the orders. He said he would, but that there is a $25 cancelation charge, PER ORDER. Can you believe this. Their Fleece Squad is good.

I contacted their customer service. They told me that this is their normal practice to fleece Americans and that it is written in their terms and conditions. After I threatened to dispute the charges with my credit card company because this hadn't been properly explained to me, they agreed to refund the exchange. I sent them an email listing the 10 order confirmation numbers and the amount that should be credited back to me. They replied to me that I could only submit one order at a time and that subsequent orders could not be disputed until the first one was resolved. In other words, they started their screw the customer offense, most likely hoping that I would go away.

To top things off, in my persistence, I discovered that my order did not have to be written up as 10 orders and that I should have only been charged for 1 delivery fee. They tried to fleece me again but when everything was said and done, they reluctantly refunded me US $155.07 that they had tried to steal in excess delivery charges.

They still owe me US $100.66 in exchange and I will initiate a dispute with my credit card company to get this back. They obviously have trained their staff to make refunds as hard to get, as possible.

I have attached pictures confirming the 9 delivery overcharge refunds and Bloomex's commitment to refund me the exchange.

AGAIN If you are an American thinking of using Bloomex in Canada STAY AWAY. I don't want you to have to go through a fleece attempt like they tried to pull on me.

Absolutely dreadful! This is the first time I ever used Bloomex and it will certainly be the last.

I ordered a Christmas Bouquet (Holiday Splendor) which, from their website is made of white roses, white chrysanthemums, red carnations, white baby's breath, holly, and evergreen foliage. Instead what arrived was a dead frozen bouquet of yellow daisies, purple mums and red roses with cheap leatherleaf foliage - NOTHING like the original.

The bouquet ordered was NOT the bouquet delivered. The flowers delivered were of poor quality and were not the flowers in the advertised bouquet. They arrived dead and frozen as the Bloomex delivery driver left them outside on the front porch in sub zero weather in Alberta on December 23rd! Bloomex is now very deliberately avoiding providing a refund.

In repeated dialogues with Bloomex Customer Service, they have acknowledged the flowers were faulty and offered an in-store credit or re-delivery. I want a full refund of the flowers and delivery costs which is falling big time on deaf ears. Bloomex customer service agents will offer a bunch of platitudes but NO REFUNDS.

I immediately notified my bank there is a dispute coming and they were quite familiar with a lot of complaints about Bloomex pulling this type of nonsense. I have also escalated to the CEO, posted reviews on social media, raised a complaint through BBB and have notified watchdogs like W5 who posted an entire expose on Bloomex a couple of years ago which is available on YouTube.

BOTTOM LINE - STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY! You stand a very good chance of getting sub par flowers that are not what was ordered and even worse customer service when you complain!

Only got a one star rating because I had to select one. Two other friends and myself ordered flowers to be sent to a Funeral Home for the death of our friend's brother. They did get them there on time, no wander, it could not have taken more than 5 minutes to assemble the arrangement. The image of the arrangement sent to the funeral home cannot be wiped out of my mind. It was absolutely embarrassing. I am so upset that I cannot even accept the money owed to me from the other two ladies as I was the one that selected Bloomex as the provider. They too were in disbelief of the appearance of the arrangement, if you can even call it that. On their website we selected a red and white carnations "elegant" arrangement. There was no elegance to it at all. They sent white daisies and a couple red carnations. The daisies were in bunches with elastics still on them, no arrangement and the odd red carnation put in, No greenery to give it height and dimension (as shown in the photo on website) no ribbon around the container. I repeat, no arrangement at all. And to top it off the daisies were not even fresh, they were wilted and petals curled under. To make matters even worse, we had paid to supersize it, I guess that meant just more wilted daisies with elastics around them. What a joke.

Our arrangement certainly stood out at the front of the chapel but for all the wrong reasons. What an embarrassment. So bad that I wish we had not even sent flowers. And can you imagine standing in front of a casket and trying to take a photo discreetly, it was very difficult and that too VERY embarrassing. I would never have had to put myself in that embarrassing moment if they had not been so horrible.

So was standing there to get the photo worth it….NO, as they did NOTHING about it. I sent them two emails with photos of what was ordered and what was received. They responded with thanks for the review, here is your $20 coupon to apply against your next order. LIKE EVER there will be a next order. Sadly it will be a very long time, if ever, that I will order flowers from anyone. And was the $20 coupon something special, not at all, as every person that orders flowers from them gets the $20 off on next order. Bet not many of them get used, who would.

So I called them and said that what they were offering was unacceptable and that I wanted a full refund. That was not going to happen. So I asked if they could send a small arrangement to our friend's home instead, as the other was not even worthy of her bringing it home, which was our intention. The fellow said that he would escalate it and I would hear back shortly. A standard line I am sure, as I got no response at all. They had all my contact information.

I have finally had to give up on them as it is not worth the stress to me. Live and learn, and sure hope that others can learn from my experience. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM BLOOMEX!

BAIT AND SWITCH
October 15, 2023

Wanted to place an order online and was CHARGE COULD NOT COMPLETED AND WAS LOCKED OUT FROM PLACING AN ORDER. I was INSTRUCTED TO CALL and place an order. While placing the order on the phone THE ORDER COSTED MORE TO PLACE ON THE PHONE THAN ON THE WEBSITE. After hanging up I saw I WAS CHARGED FOR ITEMS I DID NOT WANT. I tried to cancel my order and was told CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PROVIDE REFUNDS and that they'd open an investigation and I'd hear from a manager. I NEVER HEARD BACK AND THEY CONFIRMED MY ORDER AGAIN FOR DELIVERY. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN requesting cancellation and after threatening to open a chargeback, the agent said they'd ESCALATE TO A MANAGER. Then what was the point of the investigation? I still DID NOT HEAR BACK. Only after emailing the following email groups did I get a resolution and confirmation my refund was processing: *******@bloomex.ca, *******@bloomex.ca, *******@bloomex.ca, *******@bloomex.ca, *******@bloomex.ca (these are posted on Reddit to find)

DO NOT ORDER FROM BLOOMEX!

I wished I would have looked up reviews before I did. The biggest rip-off online site on the net. Period.

I ordered The "Classic Fuit Basket" is supposed to contain: 1 pineapple, 2 bunches of grapes, 4 bananas, 4 apples, 4 pears, 3 oranges, 2 nectarines, small cut flower bouquet.
Instead, this is what I got: 4 tiny old oranges, 4 pears, 4 apples, and 3 chocolate bars. NO FLOWERS!
So I called Blooomex and of course and complaints just go straight to voicemail. Again I left messages, and nothing. The next day I had to call their Sales line to actually speak to someone, they said they couldn't help me, as they were on the "Sales" line. When I pushed to have a manager call me back, I was disconnected.

FINALLY, a few hours later a Bloomex complaints manager called me back to say "We reserved the right to replace any items in your basket, with other items of equal value, if we don't have any of the items in stock". So I ask her: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! This is a completely different basket that I ordered, and what about the bouquet of Flowers?". She just repeats the Bloomex policy to me, and tells me "You really should read the fine-print before calling in with a complaint". They refuse to exchange or refund me for this basket and now I'm stuck giving my friend her birthday gift-basket 3 days belated. The BBB has the lowest rating possible for Bloomex and warns potential customers about them.

This is seriously the worst company I have ever ordered from and dealt with. I wish I live in the same city as their head office so that I can pay them a visit personally. This is definitely on my bucket list. Honestly, shame on Canada for even letting them still be in operation.
