My husband and i drove over 100 miles to biglots in spokane washington to buy our first lit xmas tree and were excited to put it up well there was no stand in the box so called the store just to find out we had to wait for a different manager after talking to one already so have to try and get ahold of the other manager in the morning so we found a tree stand in the mean time thought that would solve the problem becouse we were told they couldn't ship us one by the first manager thout every thing was going good until we heard a big crash the stand broke breaking my old very old expencive lampand a few other favorite things we can't aford to go back to the storewe are old and the roads are bad where we live please help signed very sad people
The manager at this location is the worst most racist person I have met not only to me a Native American but also to white people I have seen her ignore and just walk away they need new management
I purchased a Serta mattress at big lots in January. I didn't sleep on it until around February or March. However, a few months after purchasing the mattress, it looks like waves out on the ocean is lumpy. When I went to the store to talk to a manager about the warranty, they told me that the first year the mattress falls under the manufacturers warranty. They told me to reach out to customer service for big lots when I did that they referred me back to the store (via email) when I went back to the store the and talk with the manager, they gave me one of the warranty pamphlets for Allstate. When I reached out to Allstate, they said well they couldn't do anything until after the first year.
Then I reached out to Serta directly. They had me fill out this extensive form send all these screenshots of this mattress. Send them like the tags and stuff from the third mattress with pictures just to tell me that there was nothing they could do that I need to contact the store again. This have been a nightmare and my loss but it's a lesson learned and I will not purchase like this again. I was truly disappointed at the service rendered to me, but it goes to show that some businesses not values customers they just value the money.
I went to buy a mattress and headboard at Big Lots online. After putting my information in and confirming, it kicked me out. Re-did and the same thing happened. I called their customer service 800 number and they had no record of the order and said they were experiencing "computer issues" and to try again later. Then my bank called. They had 2 pending charges from Big Lots totaling $1,736.38. I went back to Big Lots to get them to cancel those pending charges and then began the odyssey of the absolute worst customer service and shopping experience I have ever had. They basically "borrowed"- I would say STOLE 1700- and I had to jump through hoops to get it back. I didn't do anything wrong - it was all on their side. By locking up my money on a double charge I was late with rent, phone bill, car insurance payment. I couldn't buy gas or food. They sent me an e-mail saying someone would get back to me and this would be settled in 24-48 hrs - No call, I had to call and it was just the "next step". They demanded all this information to send to my bank and when I asked I asked when it would be done (this was Noon on Friday 08/02) I was told that they didn't know and that department was gone for the weekend and no one was there that could help me or talk to me. They did send me once to the "Manager voice Mail" which they obviously do not listen or respond to and if its emergency - call the 800 number (that I was just transferred from) and they will assist. I finally got my money back after I disputed the charges. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
I bought neq furniture 15months ago and bought the extended warranty, and the associate at the store said it would cover damage with no qustions asked, so i tried to put in a claim because my couch has started coming apart. They told me that they would not cover under warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE AT BIGLOTS THEY DO NOT STAND BY THERE WARRANTY IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I even called biglots corporate and they will not do anything either
Ordered 17 items on Big Lots on-line system. All 17 items showed as ordered and was charged for all 17 items. So far so good. Next day when the fun started, I started getting several small charges from Big Lots on my credit card. By day 2 I had 4 new charges from Big Lots, one for full purchase plus 4 smaller charges for about 25.00 on top of the full payment of 70.00 totaling 95.00. When I called Big Lots they said this is there normal practice. This is absurd that they are charging on my credit card with out my permission and way over charging twice for the same items. On top of this my credit card company charges for each transaction, so I expected 1 charge and now at the end of day 5 I have a total of 7 charges from credit card company and way over for 100.00 in charges for 70.00 dollars of merchandise. Scam and should be up for criminal charges for unauthorized charges my credit card. WAIT, the best is still coming. Today at the end of day 5 I get a email from Big Lots cancelling 12 of my 17 items. Turns out they never had 12 of the 17 items I ordered on day 1. How in anyone's mind can you order on day 1 and if you did not have items it should have not allowed, warned, or canceled those items when ordering that you did not have items in stock. By far the worst experience and ordering system is by Big Lots, EVER. So at the end of Day 5 I have 5 items that should have cost me no more then 20.00 dollars, right now I have charges that is costing me around 115.00 dollars. I will NEVER, EVER deal with Big Lots again. Now I have to do all the work to get my money back. The correct amount of stars is -5.
The staff was very helpful and friendly but Tabitha went above and beyond. She helped explain a discreptancy in my receipt and excercised patience and compassion
Bought over 150 dollars of stuff on clearance, the cashier could not ring vase out said void called manager said cant do anything why was this put on clearance AND PUT OUT IF CANT BUY. I ended up not buying anything in the cart I will not return, this is the second time I had problems with this manager wouldnt give me a 5.00 off that I was intiltled to. That is why you have no customers in this store,was only one person in the store. ALSO YOUR MANAGER IN NOT EVERY NICE.AT ONE TIME. THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS RIGHT. He COULD HAVE FIXED THAT TICKET SO IT COULD SALE. SO YOU LOST A SALE AND A CUSTOMER

I bought a king size bed online at Big low in snellville saying the bed was available and rented a truck an hour and a half away when I got to the store the item I had bought was damaged.
02/26/2021 - Still getting the runaround from Big Lots and Ryder Last Mile. I cannot get anyone to call me and communicate. I emailed Ryder Last Mile and left them (2) voice mails.
As for Big Lots: I am getting the run around from them as well. I keep getting transferred to Customer Care, Claims, Escalations, Support Center, Omni, Tier 2, Supervisor Line and I can N O T get ANYONE ON the phone to HELP ME!
02/23/2021 - Purchased a sectional online through Big Lots. Ryder Last Mile tried to deliver. Could not get it upstairs and ended up causing extensive damage to our home (walls, ceiling, railings, doors, door trim and hardwood floor). Reported immediately. Big Lots asked for pics (sent 40). Big Lots pushed us off to Ryder. Called Ryder and they will NOT return phone calls. Called Big Lots Customer Care and they transferred me to their Claim Department. I left v/m and emailed the 40 pics to them. They will not call me or email me back. Emailed Big Lots again - no response. Called Big Lots Customer Care and they transferred me to the Support Center where I am on hold now of 25 minutes and counting. NOTHING is getting done. Spoke with Terry at Customer Care/Big Lots and he said "someone" will call me when they have information... so unprofessional and unacceptable.
Security Guard super nice and helpful so are some of the employees. But I went Sunday@ 3pm using the restroom first and it was disgusting. I told the employee abot the poop smeared on the toilet and it's a health hazard the Health Dept would shut the store down and she said as she was entering the bathroom it's not her concern. I went again Monday@ 3pm 24 HOURS LATRE to how the headboard attached to the bedroom set I purchased and went to use the restroom again and the poop was still smeared o the toilet. Not one FEMALE EMPLOYEE had bothered to take concern to the matter. HOW NASTY AND CARELESS CAN A FEMALE BE!

I want to pay homage and express my gratitude towards your staff/employee named Caleb. I was in your store on this past Friday, 4/27/2018. I came over to your store seeking beds for my grandchildren after not being able to purchase the mattresses needed at your Centerville store. Unlike your Centerville store, I was greeted immediately and waited on in a professional and timely manner. The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that there were others in the store potentially shopping for furniture, your employee (Caleb) was able to accommodate all parties in just the most admirable way.
I finally narrowed which bed I wanted though initially, I was halted between two opinions. Caleb provided the information that I needed in order for me to make the best purchasing decision for me. However, after he called the company to set up delivery and assembly, they stated that they could deliver the next day; however, they were unable to assemble until next week. Well, Caleb offered to come put the bed together himself on Monday or Tuesday at no additional cost to me the consumer.
I wanted to compensate him for his kindness and willingness to put the beds together, and he simply refused. You really dont find this level of courtesy and professionalism in customer service much anymore if ever.
It would be a shame for me to not at least take a moment to make mention of this experience because these type of retail experiences are so few and far apart.
So, in essence, I just wanted to make known the extent of my gratitude in hopes that you will also acknowledge this employee as one who is not only courteous, but also conducts business with an attitude of excellence.
