I don't usually write reviews, but I had to say I got the best service at the Simi big lots from king and Angela. When running into Big lots to get a last minute treat for my, they both went up and above to make sure that I was taken care of and made me feel welcome to the store. It's employees like this that make shopping during the holidays such a wonderful experience. Congratulations on hiring two great employees (which we all know is really hard to come by these days). Keep up the great work and happy holidays, MerryChristmas.
Visited store in Stone Mt. Ga. On 11/6/23.After making selections I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady cashier. Sir how are you today, did you find everything you need? She recognized my veteran status by the hat I wore, asked for my phone number for rewards as well, and gave me the option to donate to a charity.
The interaction was relatively brief but quite pleasant. Thank you Big Lots for employing such nice people.
Her name I think was Ariel.
I live like not even a mile away from a Big Lots store and love it. It's a great place for me to pick up water for the house as well as light snacks. The prices are decent and sometimes clearance snacks are worth buying if you know you'll consume them before the printed expiration date. The staff always greets me when I walk in and small talk with the cashier, no matter who it is, is never awkward and always friendly!
Been shopping here over 35 years. Can not think of anything negative. Can not drive past one with out stopping. THE CLEARANCE areas ( especially the food) has made it possible to help feed a lot of neighbors who are on tight budgets and keep the kids fed. I am an off season shopper and the way things are marked down week by week after a holiday has passed are unreal.
I have never had such a problem ordering online from a store till I encountered Big Lots. They make u jump through so many hoops to place an order your head is spinning. Between I'm not a robot and all the other junk they make u do I had a migraine headache by the time I was done. Please redo your website. Geezus!
I shopped for many years at Big Lots. They advertised their products as "close outs." Prices were lower than most places. However, in the last 4-5 years their prices have become increasingly higher to the point that most of their stuff is less expensive at the local grocery stores and at Walmart (right across the street). For example, this weekend they have 2 liter Coke product 2 for $4. There are numerous grocery stores in the area with the same items 2 for $3. So I rarely go to Big Lots anymore.
I will never purchase furniture from this chain store again. The customer service phone number has one employee, that barely speaks English, and has no idea how to answer basic questions. The 7-10 days for a return of money to my credit card is ridiculous!
Bought a recliner and the $400 warranty. Not even 2 yrs later and it's wobbled, the foot rest is messed up, and a number of other problems. I called about getting a replacement and they send someone out. It took a couple of weeks with multiple calls to finally get someone out here. All he did was drill one place and then told us just to start sitting on the opposite side. He also told us the foot rest supposed to be lopsided and messed up. Plus, he talked about my special needs son and asked personal questions. Very unprofessional. I will NEVER use big lots again! Why even have warranties? Now I'm going to have to buy another recliner
I placed an order for 10 items (blanket, 2 solar power outdoor lights, pillow, 2 butterfly dishes, a pool, 2 starter garden kits, wall art) and all were supposedly in stock when I ordered them, only the pillow said one left, and I hurried to order so I wouldn't miss it. All the items except the blow up pool were out of stock and refunded. What kind of company is this? What a garbage system. Like 5 different emails at different times saying items were cancelled, which was also annoying. Send ONE email saying it's cancelled. Terrible company. Big fat thumbs down.
Doris was being racist towards people of color and being dismissive while speaking Spanish and letting people skip the line while others wait in line.
I ordered several items on the website yesterday. Now I'm being told at least two items are out of stock, yet they still remain on their website for sale. I'm just waiting for the rest of my order to be cancelled. And customer service is a joke. No one responded to my live chat.
Shana at the Santa Rosa CA big lots went above and beyond today with the table we purchased. It's a beautiful table but the corner was damaged. She spend at least an hour trying to locate a different one for us, which she did.
Hopefully you don't have to dispute anything with them. Wait an hour on the phone for nothing to be resolved. Only for them to say, we have to notify Someone else about the dispute they will get back to you in 24-48 hours yea a week later haven't heard from anyone. There credit card company is just as bad. Both thumbs down for there services. Don't order from them unless you go to the store.
I have spent the better part of my morning trying to verify my in-store purchase scheduled for pickup this week. I paid for the purchase using my debit card, but was told my order was cancelled. Never mind that my bank account shows that they debited my account. But will they reverse the payment? Heck No. I want to order the item from Amazon Warehouse, but I can't do it until they refund me. (I'm on social security and don't general keep almost $200 lying in my account!)
Broyhill outdoor furniture sold by Big Lots is a disgrace. I spent over $2000 a year and 9 months ago on a complete set and the couch is falling apart on two sides. The store will only offer 20 percent off on a new couch because there is just a one year manufacturer warranty. I am a retired senior and can't afford another new couch. Broyhill was always a trusted brand. What a waste of my money!
I have had my furniture for a year and half. When we purchased and were offered the warranty we asked what it covered, and were told everything! Rips stains broken pieces you name it, it was covered! Well I noticed my sectional ripped from were it was becoming undone at the bottom and called today. Guess what? Rips, torn, badly sown furniture isn't Covered. Waste of my 150 dollars I paid for insurance I asked so what's covered and she replied to look on online at the guidelines..
Not sure what corporate genius decided to make a furniture store out of Big Lots but they appear to be out of touch as to why most people visited the stores. I used to go in an browse at least once a week to see what new items they had on the shelves. I really have no reason to go back.
I ordered two vine lights on sale for same day delivery. It gave the option to select my time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. I paid the additional few and did not receive same day shipping. It came the following days. No refund was issued and I only receive one of my items out of the two.
I purchased a $500 couch for the youth room at my church. I decided to purchase the coverage plan for $54.99 since the kids would probably give it some tough use. Big Lots is not the problem; it's the warranty company. It's been a nightmare trying to get it "registered!" It said you could do it online... nope, gave me an error message every time. Calling *******770 got me no where also! Big Lots customer service sent me to Warrentech and I've conversed through email. They keep telling me that the pictures of the receipts I'm sending them are incorrect. My advice on buying cheap furniture is to skip that coverage plan if you want to save yourself a lot of frustration!
I bought a $600 sofa from Big Lots. I'll never do that again! After using it a month it has sagging cushions and I can feel the board through the armrest on the side i most often sit on. It's a piece of junk. They bought the Broyhill name but didn't continue the quality. Sigh* You get what you pay for. I wish I'd bought a more expensive sofa. Now I will have to buy a good one, which i should have done in the first place. I also had to pay $100 to have it delivered. Never again. My own stupid fault from trying to find a bargain. Big Lot's should refund my money and come get this poorly built sofa, but I bet that won't happen.
Answer: Only during business hours and good luck. They all seem very busy and unable to help beyound try the website in a couple of hours if you can't complete your order.
